Show 15 of 17 (Updated for the postponed “Draft Day”)

GCW’s 24-hour telethon style wrestling marathon show continues with an “inmates running the asylum” block. Feel free to ride along with the wrestling reports here and my rising levels of delirium and non-awakeness on Twitter (@juliusblaise). 

We transition RIGHT into this show from the Ironman match as 440H! Hits the ring and runs Oliver and Deppen off the ring, mad that they “went five minutes over like always”. RSP demands the turnbuckles get changed while their intro video gets changed.

We get the intro video and Eddy Only hangs out for 5 minutes to berate the ring crew who is still changing the turnbuckles. Eddie Only finally brings out his opponent, who stumbles to the ringside area. Only takes his shirt off to take on El Drunko. 

Match 1: Eddy Only vs El Drunko

El Drunko can barely stand up. Only pounds Drunko’s beer. Only trying to work but Drunko keeps passing out...but never taking the pin. Only lights up a cig and Drunko dodges his attacks. Drunko with an atomic drop. Drunko tries a dive but falls over himself. Only drags him to the back and berates him off camera. Back in the ring, back and forth rolling pin attempts, someone gonna barf. Well, they collapse from dizziness. Spider Nate Webb hits the ring, pours beer all over Only and fires a stun gun into the beer puddled around  him. Only drops and shuddering as Webb throws Drunko on top to get the pin.

Winner: El Drunko

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhahahahahahahahaha! I’m delirious after that iron man match and this was the perfect nonsense to reset my brain. We get a promo video for Gregory Iron’s Open Challenge.

Gregory Iron’s “RSP Championship Open Challenge

Iron is out with his RSP belt and opens the floor to challengers. “Simple Man” hits the speakers and MANCE WARNER hits the ring. Iron goes for an immediate belt shot but Warner ducks it and we have a match!

Match 2: Gregory Iron(c) vs Mance Warner (for the RSP Championship)

Warner drags him out to the bathroom and beats him with an orthopedic boot. Mancer lets Iron get some ineffectual shots in  before blasting him with a big boot. Warner grabs a trio of chairs and sabu’s him. Door introduced and Iron sacrifices his back to hit Warner with a codebreaker on it. Warner recovering while Iron sets up a door table. Warner hitting punched in bunches, an eye poke and a running knee. Iron gets the rope break. Iron swinging the belt, escapes a chokeslam. Iron tries the belt shot again, Warner dodges, kicks the belt down and DDT’s Iron into it for the pin!

Winner: Mance Warner

Warner points out that the door is unbroken so he puts Iron through it. Can’t leave a job undone, after all. He turns his attention to the belt. It’s an affront to him since it’s a slap in the face to the crowd and every GCW hero that came before them. Warner says he’s coming for RSP’s GCW gold. 

RSP & Cogar with a promo running down the Mortons. They are brash and dismissive. F**K OHIO. 

Main Event: 44OH! (Ricky Shane Page & Atticus Cogar) vs The Mortons (Ricky & Kerry Morton)

Ricky and RSP kick this off and the Mortons hold their own against 440H! RSP is sent to the outside and Cogar getting worked over. Cogar slaps the taste out of Kerry’s mouth, answered with a superkick. RSP back in, Kerry with a worthless discus lariat and Ohio swarms. RSP with a wheelbarrow backbreaker and goes to work the shoulder. Kerry eats a lot of heat until Ricky hits the hot tag. Holding off both guys. Ricky with a destroyer to Cogar. Double dropkick stuns RSP but he double legs, grabs the tights and gets the pin. 

Winner: RSP & Atticus Cogar

I mean with two major losses on the show, it was likely 44OH! Would get one win. Blake Christian hits the ring to challenge RSP to a GCW title match at the end of the show. If he loses, Christian will leave GCW forever. RSP accepts. We have our marathon main event!!!

And that’s it for “440H! Whatever We Want”. This was a great wild palate cleanser from the Iron Man match. If you hate Ohio, a good chunk of this show will make you smile. “VsX: Rockstar Knights” is next. We’re almost there! Onwards!
