GCW’s 24-hour telethon style wrestling marathon show continues with a match I have been VERY amped up for since it was announced. Feel free to ride or die along with the wrestling reports here and my rising levels of delirium and non-awakeness on Twitter (@juliusblaise). 

Before we kick off, Spider Nate Webb interviews Kerry & Ricky Morton ahead of their match with 440H! Later today. 

Since there’s time before the Ironman, Spider Nate Webb kicks off a surprise scramble featuring some of the young boys in the back. I missed alllllll the names and commentary was also confused and mystified by the match participants too. As announced at the end, Eli Knight picks up the win. 

Jordan Oliver(c) vs Tony Deppen (Ironman Match for the Synergy Pro Wrestling Championship)

Heeeeeere we go! This will be contested under traditional wrestling rules. 

2:00pm - Bell rings. Slow feel out process and working into holds. Deppen sliding into an ankle hold arches back into a  pin attempt. They breakup as Oliver loses his sweatshirt. Tries to work the wait but Deppen gets the arm and Oliver is forced to the ropes. Test of strength and Oliver forces a couple of two counts. He wants a boston crab and Deppen scrambles away. Deppen working the neck but Oliver locks up the shoulder as we hit the 10 min mark. 

2:10pm - Deppen holding a cravat. Oliver gets free, eats a knee and goes right back into it. Deppen wraps up the neck and putting heavy pressure on it. Oliver escapes and Deppend locks up the shoulder and neck with his legs. Oliver forces a break through a pin attempt and we’re back up. Oliver hits shoulder block, Deppen powders while Oliver taunts. Deppen thinking about grabbing a chair but is talked down from that ledge (for now). Deppen back in a ready to go as Oliver pops outside to taunt more and get in his opponent’s head. Oliver refuses to get back into the ring unless the ref prevents Deppen from kicking the rope into his crotch. It almost goes sideways but we’re back to work. Deppen back to the legs and locking up the arms and legs. Stomp to the shoulder and Oliver is nursing his limb. Oliver pays him back with a stomp to the lower back. Deppen trying to put more weight onto Oliver;s arm and shoulder. 

2:20 - Deppen moves focus to the ankle but Oliver escapes. Oliver rolls through a lockup into a STF. Deppen out and twists at the foot and ankle more. Oliver scrambles to the rope ad safety. Trading arm drags and legs sweeps quickly for a hot second. Oliver lands a knee to the small of the back. Deppen wraps up the neck in his legs, Oliver flips out. He dive back in but falls into a cross arm breaker. Oliver wraps up the legs and tries to work to the. Boston crab again but Deppen gets the ropes. Deppen ties up all four limbs again. Scramble and Oliver gets Deppen up on his shoulders but drops down.

2:30 - Deppen snatches the arm breaker again. Transition to a triangle choke. Oliver has to slam his way out of the hold. Pace picking up as they trade shoulder blocks and leapfrogs for a moment. Deppen puts on the brakes and frustrates Oliver. Deppen leaning into the bad shoulder of Oliver for a two count. Test of strength again  as Deppen wrenches the shoulder. Jordan tosses Deppen out of it but Tony jumps right onto his opponents back. Deppen traps the head in his legs and twisting at the shoulder and wrist. Deppen senses Oliver’s in trouble and start sinking a hammerlock in deep with a knee buried in the back. Deppen locks up the arms with his leg and spends a moment flexing. Jordan escapes and tries to work an armbar. Deppen gets his toe to the rope. Jordan up and over and catches a pin!

Jordan 1:0 Deppen

2:40 - Deppen turns it on. Olive trapped in the buckles and kicks Oliver in the face. Deppen brings in two chairs. The ref takes Jordan’s chair. While he’s turned around, Deppen sabu’s him in the face and hits a suplex for the three.

Jordan 1:1 Deppen

Jordan takes a moment to get his bearings. Big sidewalk slam from big breakfast as he drags Deppen into the corner to land shorts. Oliver catches Deppen running and traps a boston crab in the turnbuckles. Fighting on the corner, Oliver sent to the outside and throw a chair. Deppen slides out to postOliver against and just beats the count out. 

Oliver 1:2 Deppen

Deppen hits a running knee as Oliver gets in the ring. Double stomp off the top for a near fall. Piledriver gets Deppen his third fall.

Oliver 1:3 Deppen

2:50 - Oliver is on wobbles and trading with Deppen. Double pump kicks and both are down. Both barely make the count. Deppen with a pair of running forearms and another knee to the Jordan’s buckle trapped face. Deppen up to the top and tries to sunset flip bomb Oliver. Oliver with a pair of clout cutters and it;s a three count!

Oliver 2:3 Deppen

Trading slaps and kicks, Oliver snatches a piledriver but Deppen still has kick out juice left. Deppen with a flying knee and a stunner but Oliver locks a pin attempt for two. They struggle up at the 9 count. Deppen with an enziguri to Oliver up top. Deppen with a superplex. Two count! Knee strike from Deppen and kick out! Trading forearm shots. Oliver sneaks an enziguri to drop them both again. Oliver with a boston crab! Deppen tries to crawl through it but rolls out. Jordan trying to german but Deppen clawing at the soundboard for leverage. Deppen trips on the rope getting back in, Oliver capitalizes and rolls him up for the three!

Oliver 3:3 Deppen

2:59 - Deppen traps the head throwing wild knees. Oliver raining punches. Deppen locks in the cross arm breaker with 10 seconds left. Oliver holds on as time expires. 

With the score tied at 3, this is a dra and Oliver retains the Synergy Championship.

Oliver gets the mic to say NO. He says he’s good to go for one more hour. Deppen agrees. WE ARE GOING ANOTHER HOUR WHAT. MY BRAIN CANNOT HANDLE THIS RIGHT NOW. THEY JUST POSTPONED THE DRAFT DAY SHOW UNTIL MARCH.

3:03 - Bell rings. Deppen kicks Jordan in the junk for an immediate DQ

Oliver 4:3 Deppen

Oliver is nursing his nards as Deppen chases him up the balcony stairs. Deppen spins out Oliver on a stool, lands punches and tries to throw him off the balcony. Oliver lands a running dropkick. Deppen on commentary to say that he is owed lots of money because he’s now wrestled more than anyone in the marathon. Battle back to the floor and Oliver sets up a door bridge. Deppen with a double stomp through the door and Deppen waits for the count out that Oliver barely makes. Deppen wraps up the shoulder of Oliver back in the ring and he submits.

Oliver 4:4 Deppen

Deppen tearing at the shoulder again looking for another submission. Deppen plays possum on a knee tweak to bait Oliver in and donks him with a knee. Irish whip over and over to further weaken the limb. 

3:13 - Bow and Arrow as Oliver struggles. Deppen tweaks his knee again but it’s real this time and Oliver swarms in to lock up the leg and press the lower back. Deppen powders, Oliver gives chase but gets face planted into the apron. Deppen wants to dive but his knee won’t allow it. Deppen drags him back in and stretches him more. Oliver with a full Nelson. Deppen rolling through several pin attempts. Wheelbarrow into a body scissor full Nelson. Deppen trying to work back into a full mount.

3:23 - Back to the outside, battle near the post. Oliver punches the support beam but barely makes thee 10 count. Battle to the buckle. Forward flip Spanish fly but Oliver gets the rope. Deppen works a sleeper and Oliver is OUT.

Oliver 4:5 Deppen

Oliver has his wits back and we’re trading slaps and forearms on the apron. Clout cutter on the apron! The count comes close. Oliver posts Deppen and escapes the count as the ref hits 10.

Oliver 5:5 Deppen

3:33 - Deppen is still recovering on the outside and making it back in just in time. Oliver gut kicks him and locks those body scissors back in. Deppen escapes into an ankle lock. Oliver gets the ankle himself. Deppen makes space as thy club at each other’s arms and legs. Deppen with a step up code breaker but Oliver gets the rope. Oliver hits another clout cutter but Deppen kicks out. Oliver landing shots to the guts but Deppen with a DVD for two. Deppen grabs the Synergy belt. The ref takes it which lets Deppen kick Jordan in the jewels and takes the another pinfall.

Oliver 5:6 Deppen

3:43 - Oliver popped up over the rope to the bar. Flies back in with a clout cutter to tie it back up again!

Oliver 6:6 Deppen

Both guys struggling. Oliver hung in the ropes. Deppen up and over with a double stomp. A second double stomp but Oliver kicks out. Deppen tries for the cravat-style labelle lock. It’s deep as he uses the leg to stretch the shoulder more. Oliver stacks into a pin and escapes. Double knee drop across the arm. Deppen with chest kicks in bunches. Oliver catches the boston crab and has the crab in deep! Deppen tries to roll through but Oliver goes deeper and Tony is tapping!

Oliver 7:6 Deppen

It’s worth noting that, as they recover, we have crossed the 104 minute threshold and that previous indie milestone is re-written. Deppen grabs a pair of chair and we’re doing a bar fight punch out. Back and forth slugs and forearms firing up. Oliver dropkicks Deppen out of his chair. Oliver sabu’s Deppen while the ref is moving chairs. Deppen manages to kick out! Oliver with a waist lock and head butting over and over into Deppen’s lower back. Commentary reminds us that this is Jordan Oliver’s FIRST defense of this Synergy Pro Championship. Deppen with a pile of elbows and wraps up a cross face. Jordan picks up Deppen and hits a FU. 

3:53 - 10 minutes remain (again)! Tornado DDT rolls into a deep camel clutch and the champ is in trouble. Pin attempt goes nowhere and Deppen throws a few shots and lets Oliver powder and rest against the post. Tony drinks some water, pounds the bottle into Oliver and hits a piledriver. Oliver pops back up with a dropkick and they’re both down. Firing up and they’re fighting up on the turnbuckle. Deppen bombs him down and running kick but Oliver kicks out again! Going toe to toe. Rubber legs. Slow punches. Oliver tries the clout cutter. Deppen with a German for two. Deppen with clubbing blows to the chest, drags him into a cross face again. It’s deeeeeeeeeep! Deepen with more clubbing blow and elbows. Oliver is ragdolling as he goes back into the cross face. Oliver squirming out as we got to 60 seconds left. Deppen with dozens of elbows. Another cross face! 20 seconds! Oliver is out! Ref pulls the hand....ONCE. TWICE TH-JORDAN OLIVER IS ALIVE AS TIME EXPIRES.

Final Score - Oliver 7:6 Deppen

Winner: Jordan Oliver

OMG. This was insane. It was very long and as a singular piece, very epic and told a crazy marathon of a story. That is all. This was wild. A moment that comes once in a wrestling generation. A milestone that deserved to be reset.
