Darby Allin vs Brody King
Brody just tosses Darby around, cutting off any attack Darby tries to start. Brody puts the stops on Darby’s midsection and walks up the steps on him. Brody then drops Darby face first into the steps. They return to the ring for Brody to keep working Darby over. Darby is able to get an advantage after more brawling outside the ring for a Code Red and then a choke in the ropes.
It doesn’t last long.
Brody again just tosses Darby without much of a care. This is one of those matches where, if it were a real fight, Darby would be done long ago.
Darby is able to knock Brody onto the steel steps from the second turnbuckle. He rolls Brody into the ring, hits a coffin drop for the pin and the win.
Winner: Darby Allin
I didn’t much care for this match, as it was the typical “Darby gets killed and wins via some fluke.”
Brody comes over to shake Darby’s hand.
ROH Champion Mark Briscoe vs Chris Jericho
Jim Ross joins commentary.
They go at each other with strikes and big moves, no wrist locks or hammer holds. Briscoe throws himself into Jericho on the floor from the ring and follows with strikes. Jericho distracts the ref as Big Bill sets up a table at ringside. Orange Cassidy shows and attacks Bill, fighting him to the back. Back in the ring, Briscoe is dominating Jericho. Jericho gets a suplex off the apron and both men are down at ringside.
Jericho grabs a camera and works over Briscoe before rolling him into the ring. They go back and forth neither holding the advantage for long. Briscoe’s stuff is hard hitting, and looks really stiff. Jericho gets a Liontamer in the middle of the ring and Briscoe gets to the rope and as the ref is taking Jericho away, Bryan Keith nails Briscoe from the outside and Jericho covers for two.
Rocky Romero shows up at ringside and beats down Keith. Briscoe gets to use the chair as a launching pad for a dive AND puts Jericho through the table at ringside. Briscoe comes off the top into a Codebreaker from Jericho for two. Jericho fights out a Jay Driller and gets a Judas Effect. Jericho then pulls Briscoe up for a Jay Driller, but Briscoe is out on his feet. Jericho finally gets Briscoe up and hits the move for two.
Jericho lays in slaps and Briscoe takes them and powers up. As Jericho keeps slapping, Briscoe powers up more. Briscoe then takes down Jericho with blows. He hits a Death Valley Driver, flying elbow from the top and then points to heaven before hitting Jericho with a Jay Driver for the pin and the win.
Winner and still Ring of Honor World Champion: Mark Briscoe
