AEW Women's Champion Mariah May vs Willow Nightingale
Crowd is loving Willow and she starts the match with big power moves. When May gets a takedown, she gives a little shrug as the crowd boos her. As the match goes on, we get a lot of talk about Toni Storm. They aren’t doing a lot of flashy work, but giving Willow time to rally the crowd behind her before her big moves.
Willow puts on the Mexican version of the figure four and tortures May in it. Willow misses a moonsault press from the top and May gets a drop-kick front he top and then a May Day for a two count, and the crowd cheers that kick out. These two are taking the crowd on a ride without having to do crazy spots. Willow goes for the pounce, May hits a headbutt instead and Willow takes down May with a clothesline.
Both women are down and take until 7 to get to their feet. Willow hits a Death Valley Driver into the corner for two. May gets a hurricanrana from the top, a knee strike and then the Storm Zero for the pin and the win.
Winner and still AEW Women’s Champion: Mariah May
AEW TNT Champion Jack Perry vs Katsuyori Shibata.
Shibata forces it to be mat wrestling early on. Perry rolls out of the ring and tosses a water bottle at Shibata, taunting him into chasing him so he can attack Shibata when Shibata gets in the ring. As they fight, Shibata takes Parry’s strikes, which infuriates Perry into going for Shibata’s eyes. They continue with Shibata no selling Perry’s strikes and then taking over with his own.
Shibata takes down Perry with a clothesline and then gets into the Lotus position, which annoys Perry. Perry spits on Shibata, who doesn’t react, and then goes back to work taking down Perry. The match from here is Shibata trying to get a win, but Perry finding a way to keep from being pinned. Shibata puts on a sleeper, and Perry falls backward, putting Shibata’s shoulders on the mat for the pin and their win.
Winner and still TNT Champion: Jack Perry
Perry attacks Shibata after the match, but he is stopped by Daniel Garcia rushing the ring. They go face to face and Perry bails.
We then hear MJF’s music and he comes to the ring in a suit. Perry then nails Garcia with a clothesline and leaves the ring. MJF takes off his blazer and shirt. MJF says he beat Garcia, went and made a few million with movies and then nails Garcia again. He heels the local basketball team and the boos are LOUD.
He says he got the Dynamite Diamond from the pawn shop in Buffalo and says Garcia is gonna have to kiss it. We then get Adam Cole’s music and MJF freezes. Cole hits the ring and MJF bails through the crowd. Cole helps Garcia to his feet and takes in the Welcome Back chants of the crowd.
AEW International Champion Will Ospreay vs Konosuke Takeshita vs Ricochet
Don Callis comes to the ring with Takeshita and he then joins commentary.
Ricochet and Ospreay both go after Takeshita. When Takeshita is knocked to the floor it’s time for high-flying stuff. As they do that, Takeshita nails them both. The fight moves to the floor and Takeshita pulls out a table. Ricochet and Takeshita fight over who goes through the table, but they fight to the other side of the ring where Ospreay leaps onto both of them. When Ricochet gets into the ring, he and Ospreay use each other to attack Takeshita.
Ricochet and Takeshita fight in the ring as Takeshita controls things with his power. Ospreay gets a backflip into the two of them. Takeshita and Ospreay fight over who goes through the table. Ricochet takes them both out and puts Takeshita on the table. Ospreay hits a Spanish Fly on Ricochet for two. This leads to them hitting big high-flying moves on each other for two. Takeshita breaks up the pin when Ospreay gets a Styles Clash on Ricochet.
Takeshita gets a big high power moves on Ospreay and then Ricochet and all three men are down. The pace picks up and we get a series of great combination attacks that end with all three men down. Ricochet and Ospreay hit poisonranas on each other than Takeshita gets a German suplex on both of them.
Takeshita dives onto Ricochet and Ospreay. They are hitting some big moves that pop the crowd, and the table is still unharmed. Ricochet and Takeshita fight over who goes through the table again, and finally Takeshita puts Ricochet through the table with his full capture pile driver. When Takeshita returns to the ring, Ospreay gets a one count. Opsreay gets a hidden blade for two and Callis pulls the ref out of the ring. Callis pulls out a screwdriver and Ospreay stops him and sets up to hit a power bomb and Kyle Fletcher in a hoodie nails Ospreay in the head with a screwdriver.
Ospreay is surrounded and Takesita hits a knee strike. The ref is rolled into the ring and Takeshita gets the pin and the win.
Winner and NEW AEW International Champion: Konosuke Takeshita
After the match, Kyle Fletcher hits a Tiger Driver on Ospreay.
In the back, Renee is with Orange Cassidy and Jerry Lynn. Jerry says he has never seen anyone like Cassidy and he has connected with the fans. He says with all the chaos around here, Cassidy could be The Man. Hook shows and tells Orange to listen to Jerry.
Price Nana is now in the ring and pushes his coffee. He brings out Swerve Strickland. Swerve says it feels weird to be out without the world title, but he thanks the crowd. He says he still has tingling in his back and hands at times. He says he is medically cleared. As he starts talking, he is interrupted by MVP and Shelton Benjamin. MVP says that Swerve is ducking him and must be thinking about the decision he is having to make about his future.
He says he has history with Swerve and he told Swerve about great things ahead of him. MVP says that Swerve’s career is floundering a bit and he has a history of helping former champions regain their titles. Swerve says he got a lot of great advice years ago and he beat MVP when they had a match. He says that what MVP does for people is inspiring. He then praises Shelton Benjamin for being a trailblazer.
Swerve tells Nana that what MVP is saying isn’t wrong. He says with Nana he lost the main event at All Out, he lost his childhood home, and lost his championship under Nana’s watch. But on the other hand, he wouldn't have any of those things without Nana. He says he loves power more than anyone. He says Nana is taking more money from him and is still selling weed to high school kids. But Nana is family and he doesn’t turn on family for anyone.
He tells MVP to take his business cards to shove them up his behind. Shelton says they weren’t asking, they were telling. He is either with them or against them. MVP holds Shelton back and the referees separate them. MVP helps Shelton head to the back.
Good segment, but wouldn’t this have worked better on Dynamite and not on a show with 13 matches?
Hologram vs Mortos — Best of Three Falls
They start with Hologram using Mortos as the big man to show off his high-flying moves. Mortos does some Big Power moves as they then go to the top. Hologram gets a top rope Tejaris and follows with a rollup for the pin and the win.
Winner of the first fall: Hologram
Mortos takes over for the second fall and hits a tornado dive through the ropes into Hologram. They fight on the floor with Mortos in charge. Hologram is rolled into the ring and Mortos continues to be in charge. Hologram dodges a charge from Mortos and then hits a moonsault from the top to the floor. Hologram tries to pick up Mortos and he can’t. Mortos gets a power bomb onto his knee and follows with a lariat for the pin and the win.
Winner of the second fall: Mortos and this is Hologram’s first time being pinned.
Hologram is back to the speed moves and gets a spinning tejaris off the top. Hologram and Mortos are on the apron, and Hologram gets the leaping poisonrana. A scary move for Hologram as he landed on his head, but he seems good to go.
Both times he’s done it, he slightly slips on Mortos’s shoulders. Hologram walks the ropes and then leaps into Mortos. Mortos is rolled into the ring and Hologram gets a diving stomp and goes up again. Hologram gets a 450 but Mortos gets the knees up. Mortos nails Hologram with a lariat. Mortos starts hitting power moves on Hologram and getting two counts, but holding his midsection. This allows Hologram to take over with two counts of his own. Hologram tries to lift Mortos and gets him on the second time with a spinning slam for the pin and the win.
Winning the third fall and the match: Hologram.
