Genki Horiguchi & Ryo Saito vs El Generico & Samuray Del Sol

Generico and Saito start us off, and they shake hands before we get underway. They do a feeling out process in the middle of the ring to start us off, then go to the mat before winding up at a stalemate. They do a fast paced sequence of takedowns and escapes, and again wind up at a stalemate. Del Sol and Horiguchi come in, and they have a similarly fast paced exchange of armdrags, and this time Del Sol gets the advantage and tags out to Generico, who begins working Horiguchi over with some hard shots before yanking on Horiguchi's dreadlocks. Horiguchi scurries to safety and tags in Saito, who bodyslams Generico hard in the middle of the ring before walking over his face and dropping an elbow for 2. Now Generico's in the wrong part of town, but he quickly gets out of Dodge, escaping an abdominal stretch by pulling on Horiguchi's dreads and tagging out to Del Sol, who slingshots over the top rope with a 450 splash for 2. Del Sol with a snapmare and the indy kick to the back before tying Horiguchi up in a side angle version of the figure four. Horiguchi makes the ropes, so Generico tags in and gives Horiguchi a side backbreaker for 2 before tagging Del Sol in to give Horiguchi a taste of his own medicine with an abdominal stretch. Horiguchi powers out with a hiptoss, and Del Sol makes the mistake of slouching over the second rope where Horiguchi and Saito set up for their trick with the elastic band. Generico breaks it up and Horiguchi again takes the band to the face, but a quick cover by Del Sol only gets 2. Horiguchi catches Del Sol charging in with a big back bodydrop, then Saito comes in and drills Del Sol with a back elbow for 2. Saito with a trio of snap fisherman's suplexes, but only gets 2 on Del Sol. Horiguchi and Saito hit a series of high impact double team on Del Sol, but they only get 2 so Saito knocks Generico off the apron with a charging elbow and then comes off the top rope with a double stomp square in the breadbasket of Del Sol. Lazy cover by Saito allows Del Sol to kick out at 2, but an attempted double team on Del Sol results in Del Sol giving them a double armdrag and then wiping both men out with a Lionsault. Del Sol makes the tag, and Generico comes in like a man possessed, suplexing Horiguchi into the corner as Del Sol dropkicks Saito to the floor before wiping him out with a somersault dive. Horiguchi blocks a suplex, but Generico keeps ahold of him and converts the suplex into a Blue Thunder Driver for 2. Generico charges into the corner for the Yakuza kick, but Horiguchi gets the boot up and plants Generico with a tornado DDT for 2. Saito and Del Sol get back in the ring and Del Sol tries another Lionsault, but Saito sees him coming this time and catches him in midair, and uses Del Sol's momentum to plant him with a German suplex. That was an awesome spot. Saito dodges a Yakuza kick from Generico, but Del Sol shoves him into a second kick from Generico and then Generico monkey flips Del Sol into a 450 on Saito for 2. Generico and Horiguchi trade chops in the middle of the ring, but Horiguchi takes Generico out of the equation with a flying headscissors before sunset flipping Saito to give more momentum to a German suplex on Generico. Saito follows that up with another suplex for 2, but Del Sol comes in and kicks Saito out to the floor as Horiguchi backslides Generico for 2. Generico powders out to fight Saito on the floor as Del Sol hits the inverted Frankensteiner on Horiguchi for the win.

Winners: El Generico & Samuray Del Sol

Another great match, and Generico and Del Sol showed as much chemsitry as a team as they did as opponents. I was a bit surprised to see them get the win, but it looks like we've got a lot of players in the tag division coming out of this weekend since nobody came out of it as the clearly superior duo.
