They showed several members of the babyface locker room, including AJ Styles, congratulating Hardy backstage.

Jeremy Borash interviewed TNA champ Bobby Roode.  Roode said that he was Fortune and he was Beer Money.  He said that all the others were preventing him from reaching his full potential and once he kicked them to the curb, he became champion.  Roode said he was the leader and the others couldn't deal with that.  He said Styles was jealous because Roode is the champion and the face of the company.  He said some might say he's selfish and he'd agree.  Roode said that he's the leader of the selfish generation.  He said he destroyed his partner to get the title, so just think about what he'll do to keep it.  Good promo.

TNA champion Bobby Roode vs. AJ Styles

This should be interesting to see given Styles' ankle injury.

Styles got the early offense in, leading to Roode going to the floor to break his momentum.   Roode returned to the ring and nailed Styles with a kick to the gut.  Roode drilled him with several big shots but Styles fired back.  Styles nailed him with a big dropkick and immediately grabbed at the ankle.

Styles grabbed Roode and brought him back into the ring for a suplex.   He ran Roode into the buckles.   Styles drilled him across the neck with an elbow and slammed Roode.  Styles nailed him with a leaping kneedrop for a two count.   Styles went for a slam but Roode slipped out and they exchanged chops.   Roode cut off Styles in the corner and chopped away at him.

Roode nailed Styles with a rolling snapmare.   He measured and went for a running clothesline but Styles sidestepped him and tossed Roode to the floor.     Styles hit a running forearm off the apron onto Roode on the floor.   Styles lifted Roode u and dropped him across the railing.   Styles kicked at Roode and tossed him back into the ring.

As Styles returned to the ring, Roode shoved referee Earl Hebner into him, then dropkicked Styles off the apron to the floor.  He rammed Styles backwards into the ring apron on the floor, then deposited him back into the ring. Roode covered him for a one count.   Roode kicked away at Styles in the corner, trying to break him down.   Styles whipped Roode in the corner but was kicked off.  Styles jumped off but was caught and nailed with a catapult into the corner.  Styles was nailed with a Faceplant for a two count.

Roode grabbed a waistlock and tried to wear Styles down on the mat.  Styles tried to slip out but was caught with a front facelock.   Styles reversed an Irish Whip in the corner but was drilled with a stiff kick as he advanced.  Roode went to the ropes but was caught.  Styles went for a superplex but Roode headbutt him, sending him back to the mat.  Styles recovered and caught Roode, superplexing him into the ring.

Styles unloaded with a bunch of offense including a running forearm smash in the corner.  Styles scored several two counts and looked to be going for a Torture Rack but Roode slipped out.  Styles looked to go for a springboard forearm but Roode realized it and got too close so Styles couldn't do it.  They exchanged chops and Styles maintained control.  Roode caught him out of nowhere with a spinebuster for a two count.

Styles floated over a suplex attempt and nailed a backdrop suplex on his own.  Styles went for a springboard kneedrop but Roode rolled out of the way.  They went back and forth with several pin attempts.  Styles went for the Styles Clash but Roode turned it into the crossface.

Styles fought his way out and dropped Roode with a powerbomb out a Styles Clash attempt.   Styles nailed a springboard forearm smash for a two count.  Styles grabbed Roode who kicked backward with a low blow, nailing Styles and the referee both.  He covered Styles but only got a two because the referee was hurting.  Roode was pissy.

Styles nailed an enziguiri kick on Roode.  Roode fired back but was nailed with a leaping punch.  Roode went down as if he was knocked out.  Roode begged off but Styles speared him.  He began beating the hell out of Roode with chops, kicks and punches.  Styles draped Roode on the top rope.  Roode fell off to the floor.   Styles measured for a dive but Roode stepped out of the way and Styles landed rudely on the outside.

Styles was out but finally returned to the ring.  Roode grabbed him and nailed a Perfectplex into a bridge, but Styles kicked out at two.   Styles ducked a clothesline and nailed a Pele Kick.  Styles set up for the Styles Clash but Roode slipped out and rolled up Styles, hooking the tights for the win.

Your winner and still TNA champion, Bobby Roode!

A solid main event.  Styles is damn amazing as a worker, performing on that ankle.  I thought they had a solid main but the finish was really counter-productive in my mind.
