A CLASSIC ENDING TO A GREAT RUMBLE SHOW, LET THE WOMEN RUMBLE!, UNCLE HOWDY CASTS HIS SHADOW, THAT WAS SOME WEIRDO STUFF, AN INSPIRED MEN'S RUMBLE & MORE MIKE'S ONGOING ROYAL RUMBLE BLOG

The Women's Rumble match is next.

Rhea Ripley is number one.  If she's going over, they are basically making this all about her story.  She came out holding her ribs from the Beth Phoenix spear.  Liv Morgan was number two.  They battled.    Dana Brooke was number three.    She controlled each of them and hit with with a superplex.  Emma was number four.  Shayna Baszler was number five.  This far, its just everyone battling.

Number six was Bayley and you could feel the energy in the buiding change.    B-Fab was next out and cleaned house until Rhea smashed her and eliminated her.  Ripley had blood smeared on her face after headbutting Fab.  Next was NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez.  She looked GREAT in her offense and showed some great fire.  She was the best part of the last year of ROH under Sinclair and what you saw was just part of why.  Dakota Kai was out next.  This meant Bayley had backup.  Well, except now the babyfaces were going after Damage CTRL.  But, faster you could say Wargames coin toss, IYO SKYE hit the ring.  Damage CTRL tossed Dana out.  Perez took the fight to them but was taken out and eliminated.  The crowd hated that.

Next out was the returning Natalya.  We reported she was in San Antonio in the Elite section a few days ago.  She and Baszler went right at it, playing off of Natalya's broken nose.  Candice LaRae was next out.  She almost took out Damage CTRL but Baszler forced her to rudely eat a knee to the face.  Nattie slapped Bazler.  They battled and Damage CTRL knocked them out of the ring and to the floor.

NXT's Zoey Stark was next out.  She hit the ring like she had something to prove and looked really damn good.  Xia Li was next, using a series of kicks to take competitors out.  Damage CTRL took out LaRae.  Becky Lynch was next and got a MASSIVE pop.  Damage CTRL met her on the floor but Lynch drilled the Tag Champs and beat down Bayley in the ring.  Lynch battle CTRL on the floor but was overwhelmed and thrown into the barricade.   She was then tossed over the announcers' table.  #16 was Tegan Nox, who will obviously help Lynch, hit the ring and nailed a flip off the top into Ripley.  She got some shine, taking the right to the members of Damage CTRL.

#17 was Asuka, another Becky ally.  She had new music, face paint and a lion's face mask.  She got a great reaction and cleaned house.  She tossed Bayley over after wrecking her with strikes and kicks but Bayley saved herself.  #18 was the former Doudrop, once again Piper Niven.  We had reported a few weeks ago she was slated to return this weekend.  Seeing her as Niven is a GREAT change of pace and fresh air for her.  If you ever saw her in ICW or NXT UK, you have to be excited right now.  They announced never even acknowledged the Doudrop character.

#19 was Tamina, who was just at Raw 30, her first time back in some time.  She and Piper faced off but everyone else attacked.  They fought them off and faced off again, slugging it out.  Becky returned and hit the ring, taking the fight to everyone.  Chelsea Green was next, as we reported this past Monday but she was gone in a flash.  Bayley was able to toss Becky but Liv tossed Bayley to a MONSTER POP.  Becky attacked Bayley and brawled with Damage CTRL on the floor.

Zelina Vega was out next, dressed as a Street Fighter video game character.  They announced she will be a commentator on the next game.  Vega hit Code Red on Rhea.  She and Xia did spots based on the marial arts fighting from Street Fighter and Vega took Xia out.  That was a cool crossover promotional deal.  Next up was Raquel RodriquezDDT .  She got some spotlight.  Vega attacked her and was placed on the top buckle.   Vega nailed a rana off the top.

Next out was Mia Yim.  She hit a great floatover DDT on Rhea.  #24 was Lacey Evans, who had a really good re-debut last night in the ring.  She then blew her first spot, so I guess I praised her too soon.  Ooops.  Zoey Stark, by the way, has looked great.  Michelle McCool, who was sitting in the front row, was #25  She fought everyone and nailed the Styles Clash on Vega.  McCool took out Tamina and eliminated her.

Indi Hartwell was next.  Everyone battled.  Sonya Deville was out.  She took out Zoey, who really had a strong showing.    Vega battled Lacey.  This was the most they've allowed Vega to do in forever.  Evans used the Cobra Clutch to take her out.  Shotzi was out next.  Nikki Cross was #29.  She CHARGED like the Ultimate Warrior to the ring and battled everyone.

#30 was the returning Nia Jax.  Nice pop for her.  Everyone stopped and watched her head to the ring, putting over her importance.  She dared everyone to fight her, so they did, attacking but like the legend of Andre the Giant, she shoved everyone off.  Raquel and Nia faced off.  Rhea hit her with the Riptide and everyone worked to toss Jax out of the ring to the floor.  That elimination got a big pop.

Everyone battled and for the most part, it was good work.  Rhea took out Raquel, which got a big pop.  Liv took out Cross and we were down to #1 Rhea Ripley, #2 Liv Morgan  and Asuka.  They all battled to the apron outside.  Asuka went to mist Rhea who ducked and Liv was blinded.  Asuka was pulled to the floor.  Liv, blinded, was able to nail Rhea, who held onto the ropes.  Morgan went for her but was knocked off.  Rhea, a very deserving Rhea, wins!

I thought this was a damn good Rumble.
