In the back, we saw Seth Rollins. Bret Hart walked in and said he would be watching.
Kofi Kingston gets his chance to have his big moment as he talks on Randy Orton next.
Randy is out first. Then the champ, with the tag champs. The fans are doing dueling chants against both guys, They were saying something against Kofi (couldn't make it out) and Randy sucks. Not a good sign.
Randy is in contrrol early, throwing him around ringside before going back in the ring. And then back outside. OK I am pretty sure they are chanting Kofi's Stupid. Suffice to say, it doesn't seem that they are overly into this, especially when Randy was in control. And that was the whole way so far, until Kofi just hit a DDT. I have to think that them giving Kofi Dolph didn't help his Title reign in their eyes.
Kofi is heating up and hit the legdrop. Now Kofi is getting mad about being called stupid but he got caught in a backbreaker. Randy back in control. He went for the DDT but Kofi dumped him to the floor. He went up to the top and wiped out Randy on the floor. He hit a splash from the top and got a two. But Randy is back in control and he is working in slow Randy mode. He set up to Vipe. He wen for the RKO but Kofi got out for a second. But then Randy hit the RKO, two count only. Kofi rolled to the floor.
Randy was on the floor mocking Kofi and taunrting his family when the ref counted them out and called for the bell. I guess it was a count out. The fans hated it and chanted Bull Droppings. Well, you know. Kofi went nuts afterward and attacked Randy with a kendo stick. The fans weren't loving this before the finish and they loved it less afterward. Kofi hit Orton with Trouble In Paradise in the ring and was angry. The story was he stuck up for his family but it didn't get over. Worse, it looks like they will fight again and I doubt many people want to see a rematch. This was the first thing that was a fart in church on the show.,
The match was pretty average all the way and no finish, when Kofi really needed a convincing win, was a bad call. It totally played out that way,
The Fiend vs. Finn Balor is next. Hopefully they can bring the crowd back. Corey said Finn doesn't think he needs the Demon to fight the Fiend because Balor Club is enough. Well at least they addressed why the dope didn't do the obvious. Plus there is no way the Fiend should lose his first match. Fiend's entrance was really cool. Really, really cool. The crowd loved it, chanting Holy Shizzle. Fiend came out in the costume and wrestled with the mask on. He is trashing Finn as the fans chant Zowie Wowie. Finn has a "Damn, my dumb ass should have brought the Demon" look on his face.
Fiend had a moment of doubt or something and DFinn used it to come back. He wen for the Coup but got caught in the Mandible. 1-2-3. It was about The Fiend getting a win. That is what it was. The character has potential if they book it correctly. And they gave Fiend a cool visual after the match, then he disappeared. The lights came on and the crowd chanted That Was Awesome as Finn came to and realized what a demon less dum dum he was.
Main event time, Seth Rollins tries to get his Title back from Brock Lesnar. Seth out first, He is in all black. He means business. So does Brock, who the fans are clearly behind. Brock starts out as he always does, by destroying his opponent. Seth has the ribs taped and Brock is going to work but Seth hit a kick. Brock went for a German but Seth landed on his feet and hit a Stomp for a two. Brock went to the floor and Seth came off the apron with a flying knee. Seth went for a kick but Brock caught him and Seth again landed on his feet on a German attempt. Seth ran in but Brock caught him in an F5. Brock got the rib tape and used it to throw Seth around the ring. That was cool. Now Brock is in suplex mode. All around the ring and the floor.
Then Seth managed to come back on the floor and rammed Brock's head into the post. He hit a big knee off of the top. He went back up missed and got thrown by a German. No not Alexander Wolfe, a suplex! Fans are now doing dueling chants. Brock took off his gloves. He is bare knuckle fighting now. He is working over Seth again.
But Brock went to ram him in the corner and Seth moved. Brock hit the post. Can Seth come back? He kicked Brock to the floor and hit two topes. He went back in and did a third but got caught and Brock rammed him into the post. Brock got up and Heyman said get rid of him. Brock set up an announce table but Seth kicked him on it. Seth wen to the top and did a frog splash, putting Brock through table. Cool ass spot. Both are selling it.
They made their way back in the ring. The fans are chanting Burn It Down as Seth hit a Frog Splash. Brock is selling like he is hurt. As Brock got up Seth hit the Stomp, TWO COUNT ONLY!
Seth loaded up again. Can he hit it again? No, F5 attempt. Seth gets out and hits a stomp. 1-2-3, new champion! Yes, the Title isn't held hostage anymore. As I said going in, as long as the loss was for WWE to give a big Title match for SummerSlam and Seth to win it back, I was OK with it. I am OK with it. Really good match.
Afterward Seth got emotional as he held up the Title and cried.
Good stuff. The right guy won and Brock sold like it killed him. It took a while for him to get out of the ring and work his way to the back. And now, WWE can use Brock as a vehicle for the Smackdown move to FOX if they so choose.
