Time for the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber.

This is the first time the WWE title has headlined a combined PPV since the brand split.

The officials took Rowan away from Daniel Bryan as he made his way to the ring cutting a promo about suffering for the greater good.  Bryan is just awesome on the mic.

It’s Samoa Joe vs. Daniel Bryan starting out.    Bryan was playing Larry Zbyszko early on, trying to run the clock down and let someone else be released.  Joe trapped him in a submission, but Bryan made it to the ropes.  Bryan nailed him but that only pissed off Joe.  Joe chased Bryan down but was caught and worked over before being locked in a STF.   Bryan and Joe went back and forth with Joe getting the better off the physical battle.  Joe is so damn good.    Bryan's chest was tattooed from chops.

The next man out was Kofi Kingston.  The place went nuts, chanting his name.  He is the people's champ for sure.  He nailed some offensive maneuvers on Bryan and Joe, scoring several near falls.  Bryan tried to escape and made it to Kofi's pod but Kofi followed him up and worked him over.  Bryan tried to climb across the chamber, like he was Donkey Kong Jr. but Joe yanked him down.  Joe and Bryan battled and Kofi hit a stage dive backwards onto them. Angelo Moore from Fishbone, move over!

Back in the ring, Kingston controlled Bryan and scored several near falls before Joe attacked yet again.  He flattened Kofi with the back senton splash.  The next man out is AJ Styles and he begins battling Samoa Joe and AJ Styles.  Bryan tried to escape up the cage but Styles hit the springboard into the Phenomenal Forearm on Bryan.  Styles went for the Styles Clash on Kingston but he was able to nail a kick to evade the maneuver.

Joe locked in the Coquina Clutch on Kingston, who was able to kick Joe away.  Styles nailed the Phenomenal Forearm and pinned Joe, eliminating him.  Jeff Hardy was released from his pod and he battled Styles.  He worked over AJ, including hitting the Cruncher legdrop.  Styles nailed the Pele Kick.  He and Styles battled atop the top turnbuckles with Styles crashing down hard on the buckles to the mat.  Hardy put him back on top and nailed a swanton off the pod.  Bryan saw the moment and drilled him with the running knee and scored the pin.

Four competitors left.

Bryan worked over Styles, who was tied to the tree of woe and nailed several dropkicks.  They set up a Tower of Doom spot.  Orton was released and began picking the bones.  Everyone battled.  Styles was caught with a RKO while setting up for a move off the ropes.  Crowd seemed legitimately surprised by that.  Big Kofi chant.  Can we be looking at a miracle???  Kingston avoids an RKO and nailed Trouble in Paradise, pinning Orton.  ARE WE LOOKING AT A MIRACLE WIN?????

Bryan and Kingston face off as the fans chant for Kofi.  Big brawl in the center of the ring.  Bryan escaped Trouble for Paradise and attacked Kofi's leg, setting up for the Yes Kicks.  No Kicks.  Whatever Kicks.  Kingston nailed the SOS out of nowhere but Bryan kicked out at the last second.  The crowd is super hot for this.  Bryan told him that he didn't deserve to be here with him and wiped him out with dropkick after dropkick.  Kingston kept coming back and scored a close two count after a missile-like flying shoulderblock.

Kingston set up for Trouble in Paradise but Bryan rolled out of the ring.  They battled on the outside with Kingston smashing him over and over into the cage.  Kingston went for a bulldog on the outside, but Bryan tossed him hard into one of the pods.  Bryan covered him but Kingston still kept kicking out.  Bryan's facial expression of disbelief here was incredible.  Bryan began stomping him but Kingston wouldn't give up, kicking out again.  Kofi shocked him with another near fall but Bryan locked in the LeBell Lock.  Kingston fought to the ropes and made it and the place exploded.  This has been a hell of a ride.

They battled to the top of a pod.  Kingston began smashing backwards into the plexiglass.  Kingston tried for a suplex.  Dear God, no!  Bryan escaped and smashed Kingston, trying a suplex himself.  Kingston blocked it and kicked Bryan into the ring below.  Kingston went for a big splash but Bryan rolled out of the way.  Bryan nailed the flying knee and that was it.  Bryan scored the pin and retained the WWE title.

Bryan left with Rowan.  New Day came out to console Kofi.  The crowd chanted, "Thank you Kofi."  Kofi walked to the back with New Day as they went off the air.

Some really damn entertaining stuff here with Bryan and Kofi.   The rest of this was very good as well.  An excellent main event.
