DO WE GET TO CELEBRATE THE MIRACLE OF KOFI?, WOMEN'S TAG CHAMPIONS CROWNED, THE MAN COMES TO TOWN, BLOOD IS SHED, TITLE CHANGES & MORE: COMPLETE WWE ELIMINATION CHAMBER BLOG

Time for Miz & Shane McMahon defending the Smackdown Tag Team titles against The Usos.  The Miz dedicated the match to his dad, his daughter and Maryse.  Maryse then came out and announced they were having another baby.  He dedicated the match to his unborn child and brought out Shane McMahon.  The Usos came out all fired up.  Miz and Jey went back and forth. Shane tagged in and peppered him with punches.  The Champions controlled early on, sending the Usos to the floor to regroup.    The challengers cut off Miz with a double team Hot Shot.  Usos seemed pretty over in Houston.  The Hot Shot allowed them to cut off Miz and work him over.  This was been pretty nondescript thus far.  I don't envy these four.  It's sort of hard when they have the Raw Tag title bout from this past Monday fresh in everyone's minds, not to mention that great Chamber match that just took place as well.

Shane tagged in and controlled the Usos.  He nailed the Van Terminator on Jimmy Uso, then returned to the top to hit another on Jey but was superkicked as he came down.  Jey nailed a big splash but Miz made the save.  Miz tagged himself in and scored several near falls.  Miz hit a kick to the outside, then set up a table for carnage.  Jimmy went for a dive on Miz but took out Jey by accident.  Miz told Shane to go for the flying elbow, setting up Jey on the table.  Shane, selling he was groggy, nailed it.  Houston loved it.

Back in the ring, Jimmy nailed Miz with a superkick as their partners were laid out on the floor.  Miz nailed the Finale but Uso rolled him into a crucifix and scored the pin.  Well, I didn't see that happening!  I guess one bad night in Detroit isn't enough to derail booking plans.   MIz helped Shane up and walked him to the back.  No turn.  The match was solid by the end.  Shane McMahon is a braver man than I'll ever be.

Paige plugged Fighting with My Family.  I know four people who have seen the film in NYC over the last few days and all of them really enjoyed it.

Daha Fuentes asked Lio Rush if he was the weak link.  Hey, well, duh.  Lashley didn't like the line of questioning and pulled Lio out of there.

Time for the Intercontinental Handicap Match with Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush defending against Finn Balor.  During the Kickoff show earlier, Sam Roberts was burying that Finn hasn't done anything as himself and needed to be the Demon.    We will see if Sam is right, because no Demon.

Lashley showed off his power early, tossing Balor around.  Lashley maintained control until Balor backdropped him over the top.  Balor teased a dive but Lio caught his ankle.  Balor gave chase, allowing Lashley to smash him into the railing.   Lio tagged in and began trash talking Balor, of course, and kicking away at him.  Lashley tagged back in and drilled him with a clothesline.  Finn has a long way to go to overcome the odds here.  Lio and Bobby tagged in and out, working over Balor.  This is such a weird, backwards set of circumstances.

Rush missed a move off the top when Finn moved.  He sold it like he was hurt and then when he saw Balor waiting for him, looked he knew he was screwed and was scared to death.  Lashley was able to tag in but Balor tossed him and Lio to the floor and hit a nice flip dive on everyone.  He pulled Rush back in and nailed the Coup de Grace, getting the pin and the title.

So, that’s what that stip was all about, Lashley losing the title without losing his momentum.  Crowd was super into the title change.

Match was OK, but given the circumstances, it was as good as you could expect it to be.    Now, let's hope they have a plan for Balor moving forward.

Lashley attacked Rush and destroyed him with a big chokeslam after.  We will see if that's the end of that alliance.  Given some of the heat Rush gets backstage  at times, if it is, that may not be good news for him.
