They then recapped the Becky Lynch story, including Lynch's knee "once again" being injured.
Charlotte Flair came out for an interview with Charly Caruso. She was asked when she learned she would headline Wrestlemania. Flair said that she's going to Mania and last night, she got to do what she loved, destroying Lynch. She blamed Lynch for getting herself suspended. She said she was going to see who would face her at Mania.
Time for Ronda Rousey vs. Ruby Riott. Ronda came out dressed as Sonya Blade from Mortal Kombat.
Ruby, smartly, retreated when Ronda almost got her arm snatched for an armbar. Ronda wiped her out and forced her to tap. If you were hoping for a great match here, sorry, but that wasn’t the goal here. It was about hyping Wrestlemania.
Flair entered the ring to face off with Ronda as the crowd chanted for Lynch. Lynch made her way through the crowd on crutches and made her way into ringside. Where is Atlas Security when you need them????? Huge chants for Becky. Houston chanted "She's the Man." Lynch threw a crutch at Flair, then began beating the living sh** out of her with the crutch. It was awesome with Lynch playing the role of the internet fan pissed about a potential three-way and taking it out on Charlotte.
Lynch looked at Rousey, who grabbed the other crutch as they faced off. Lynch offered Rousey her chance to get Flair istead, Flair begged off like, well, a Flair. Rousey approached Flair but Becky began beating the LIVING HELL out of her with the crutch, including smashing her in the head by accident, which busted her open accidentally. She then grabbed the second crutch and kept going with the carnage. This was great. Security took Lynch out. This was great, sincerely great!!!
NO DQ Time - Baron Corbin vs. Baron Strowman. Braun worked over Baron. The kendo stick was brought back into play. Strowman said he didn't need it and smashed it in half. Corbin went to the floor. Jason Voorhees followed. Baron tossed a chair at him. It bounced off Freddy Krueger, but Braun was sent into the steps. Baron smashed Braun's bad elbow with the stairs and began mocking Braun's mannerisms. The crowd is pretty quiet for this after the insanely fun angle they just witnessed.
Braun made a comeback and brought a table into the ring. He smashed Baron through it but Drew McIntyre's music started. Sigh. They are so wasting this guy. Drew comes out with a chair but Braun, when he turns to face him, is attacked by Lashley. The three of them work over Braun, who makes comebacks only to be laid out again. The crowd seemed to die for this. They brought in the ring steps and stacked two tables atop each other. They did the Shield powerbomb through the two tables and scored the pin.
I always try to be fair, but come on, this was a Fart in church. There is no reasonable explanation for this to continue going into Wrestlemania season. We are long past Braun getting his revenge and closing this loop, but here we are, reliving this over and over like we are living Happy Death Day. Make it stop, please. Did you think a year ago Braun would be in this position? I sure didn't. This was the biggest letdown on the show thus far in my mind.
They plugged the Special Olympic World Games in the U.A.E.
Backstage, The Miz was apologizing to Shane McMahon. He was losing it over losing the bout. Shane told him to go home and said he'd see him Tuesday.
Lacey Evans came to the ring, then turned and walked out. Okaaaaaaay.
