WWE is working with Tony Hinchcliffe again on August 2. I can't wait to not go.
Reminder, Raw airs at 6 p.m. ET this Monday.
John Cena defends the Undisputed Title against CM Punk.
The fans were ready for this one. They were chanting for Punk before he even came out. They have no hard feelings, that's for sure. This is as live as the crowd has been since the opener. That makes sense.
There are TONS of Punk signs being held up in the crowd.
Punk got in the ring and did his trademark sit down while the fans chanted for him. He took it all in.
Cena's music hit and there was another huge reaction as the fans are singing John Cena Sucks.
For those who missed it, Punk was hilarious last night on Smackdown mocking Cena's old promos.
At the start the crowd is chanting Let's Go Cena/CM Punk.
The fans are going nuts so the guys are taking it easy early on. Then again, with Cena involved the pace probably won't pick up a whole lot any time soon. Cena is very methodical at this point. He is currently in control doing his schtick.
Cena got a two on an AA.
Cena often moves in such an unnatural way. It makes it look like he is dancing, not wrestling.
Punk got Cena into an STF but he got the ropes.
Cena got another two off off an AA. The fans are loving this. They think it's awesome. It's making it better than it would be with a dead crowd to me. Cena is just, well, Cena. Plus, he is in control of most of the match. It's time for a Punk flurry. Please?
Cena caught Punk coming off of the top, rolled through and hit an AA, but Punk kicked out.
Cena went out and grabbed the belt and brought it in the ring. The fans didn't want him to use it and he decided not to. Maybe it's the start of his turn back. I am sure it will be corny as hell when it happens. But, it led to Punk hitting a GTS for a two count.
Then they stood in the ring and threw hands. Cena bumped the ref accidentally before Punk hit the GTS. He had him pinned but there was no ref. There is your HHH visual pin.
Just then Seth Rollins' music hit and out he came with the entire crew. He does not have a ref with him and the ref for the match is still out. So is Cena, who sold while Punk faced off with Rollins. Seth finally sent Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker down to the ring to destroy Punk.
The fans are chanting OTC. Instead, Rollins called for an official and out came Charles Robinson, but Cena popped up and laid him out. Cena got in Seth's face and said not on my watch. Another face move. They laid out Cena when Penta came out to attack Bron, but he got laid out on the stage. And now, here comes Sami. They brawled down the walk way and Penta wiped them out from the stage. Reed went to splash Cena but Punk saved him.
Now it's back to Punk and Cena. John is looking tortured. Punk extended his hand. Cena took it and hugged him but then did the look. Punk was ready and blocked the nut shot. Rollins came out of nowhere with the briefcase and nailed Punk in the head, then did a stomp. The ref came to and Cena took the easy pin. He was a dick afterward so clearly he isn't a face yet. Now, Punk definitely has to cost Rollins when he cashes in.
There were a lot of bells and whistles to cover for John. It was it was as good as it can be at this point in his career.
