Next up is LA Knight defending the United States title against Shinsuke Nakamura. I like the darker presentation for Nakamura.
They went back and forth. They battled to the floor, where Knight smashed him into the apron over and over as fans yelled 'Yeah!'
Back in the ring, he dripped Nakamura across the ropes and dropped and elbow across his back, bouncing him back into the ring.
Nakamura scored with a back elbow and a low dropkick for a near fall. The elbow looked evil and cool.
Knight nailed a Burning Hammer style move for a two count.
Nakamura took control but was nailed with an Blue Thunder Bomb style slam and then hit an elbow off the ropes. The crowd was really into Knight.
They battled in between the rings, attempting suplexes. Nakamura hit Knight with an inverted DDT on the steel in between the rings.
Nakamura nailed the Kinshasa and scored the pin.
Your winner and new U.S. Champion Shinsuke Nakamura!
Solid match.
The new Nakamura presentation is good and this gives Knight something to chase.
Backstage, Otis refused to come out of the bathroom. It was sponsor spot for a t-shirt company.
The Intercontinental Championship Triple Threat is next.
Very physical contest early with Bron throwing Sheamus around with suplexes and drilling Ludwig with lariats. Ludwig sent him into the buckles and drilled a dropkick. Kaiser started setting a chair up in the corner, only to find Bron and Sheamus waiting for him. That's brown trousers time. They mauled him and sent him to the floor but Bron then turned immediately on Sheamus and clotheslined him.
Bron set up for a charge on the floor but Ludwig dropkicked him off the apron and stole his thunder, drilling Sheamus into the steps and the announcers' table. Out of nowhere, Bron returned with a leaping shoulder into Ludwig and then suplexed him on the floor. Bron then turned his attacks on Sheamus. Sheamus fought back from underneath and slammed Bron but Ludwig attacked. They tumbled through the ropes. Real physical bout and good stuff.
They battled over by the announcers but Bron DOVE from the apron with a big clothesline, wiping them out.
Back in the ring, Breaker nailed a Frankensteiner but Sheamus came back with a big Brogue Kick. Kaiser pulled the referee out to stop the pinfall, so he's cost Sheamus the belt yet again. Kaiser attacked Sheamus with a shillelagh over and over on the floor. Sheamus' ribs were hurt. Kaiser was SPEARED TO DEATH by Bron. DAMN.
Bron then speared Sheamus and scored the pin.
Bron Breaker is still the IC Champion!
This was so damn physical, a very kickass match. Breakker's legend continues to be made. Ludwig was all fight. Sheamus remains a classic badass. Great work all around.
