Cody came up from the stage with a skull mask on and was joined by his wife Brandi.
They then the Cody theme and the place ROARED. I had chills. Great pyro and Rhodes looked like he was the happiest person in the world.
Brandi did not come to ringside.
What an entrance. The entire stadium was singing.
Roman had a choir for his entrance. It was like Thanos and Darth Vader both arrived live. You could feel the mood change.
HOLY BIG FIGHT FEEL BATMAN.

10 PM on the dot, the bell rings.
Massive Cody chants.
They go nose to nose.
The fans get the Wrestlemania main event they wanted.
They went back and forth early. Cody nailed the drop punch. Roman charged but missed and hit the posthard with his shoulder.
Cody pulled out a table - PHILLY ROARED - but was nailed with The Driveby. Cody came back and nailed Roman into the stairs. Roman cut Cody off and used a Singapore Cane on the challenger. Cody got the cane but Reigns avoided getting hit. Cody nailed him and locked in the figure four. Roman ripped at his eyes to force the break.
Roman took control and worked over Cody as the audience chanted for Rhodes. Philly wants to SEE HIM WIN. It's crazy how connected to the fans Rhodes is live. Roman tossed him into the crowd and battled through it with Cody. They battled to an elevated platform. He said he was going to toss Cody off. Cody blocked and reversed the superplex. They battled back to the ring. Cody went for a Disaster Kick but was caught and powerbombed. Reigns' poise is something else.
Roman nailed a big suplex and choked Cody against the ropes. Roman talked a ton of trash. Hebi tried to wear down Cody who fought back. Reigns nailed Cody with a series of clotheslines. Cody fired back and the crowd went UP every time he did. They fired back and forth with MASSIVE punchs. The crowd cheered for every Cody shot and booed Roman. Cody nailed a bodypress and when he psyched himself up, everyone jumped up. Cody nailed the Disaster kick for a near fall.
He went for another kick but Reigns caught him and nailed Cody with his own finisher the Cross Rhodes. Cody kicked up and Roman said the move sucks. Roman missed a Superman Punch and Cody went a clubbering! Bionic Elbow! Roman went to the floor and Cody pondered his next move. He went to put Roman through a table but was punched in the nads. No babie tonight.
Roman powerbombed Cody through the announce table and nailed the Superman Punch for a two count. Cody came back and nailed the Cody Cutter for close two count. The place erupted when Cody speared Roman. We are now 20 minutes in and uit's been great. Cody nailed a series of CrossRhodes but Jimmy Uso attacked. Bloodline Rules.
Jey Uso's music hit and Philly lost it as he ran out. The Usos brawled on the ramp. Jey speared Jimmy off the ramp through tables. Roman speared Cody, who barely kicked up. Live this is great. Roman Reigns tried to muscle over Cody and they crashed through the ropes to the floor. Cody speared Roman through the barricade. CrossRhodes over and over but Solo hit the spike Roman was pulled atop but Cody pulled the shoulder up.
Philly began chanting for John Cena.
Solo set up Cody for Roman. He speared Rhodes. Cody kicked up.
CENA'S music hit and he ran out for the save. He took out Solo and nailed the AA on Roman. He nailed another on Solo through a table.
OUT CAME THE ROCK.
We are full on Avengers: Endgaming this one folks.
Cena and Rock faced off. It's Black Adam vs. Peacemaker.
Philly chanted Holy sh**. Cena ripped off his shirt to face the might of The Rock Cena went to hit Rock but was caught with The Rock Bottom.
Rock went to lash him but The Shield music hit and.....Seth returned in full Shield Gear from the crowd but was Superman Punched by Roman.
The Undertaker's gong hit....the lights went out and Undertaker was in the ring.
He and Rock went face to face. He grabbed Rock and chokeslammed him.
The Gong hit and Undertaker was gone again.
This is great theater, my friends.
Roman pulled himself up as Cody was still down. He stood over Cody but looked at Rollins and nailed him. He went for a spear but was kicked and nailed with several CrossRhodes.
Cody scored the pin and finished the story.
Cody wins the same title that was denied to his father.
Hell of a finish to Wrestlemania 40.
Brandi joined him in the ring.
Roman and Heyman headed to the back.
A ton of are babyfaces are flooding into the ring to celebrate with Rhodes. They held up Cody in a scene that harkened back to when Dusty Rhodes won the NWA World title. CM Punk hit the ring and raised Cody's arm.
Mama Rhodes entered the ring and hugged her son. Cody presented the belt to her the way he wanted to bestow it to his father.
Rhodes too the mic and said he knows it's been a long night. The crowd chanted for him. He said that he's surrounded by greatness in the ring and the stadium. He said there are two people he wouldn't be here without - he asked Bruce Prichard and Triple H to come out. He said HHH was the leader of their new era and asked hm to come iut. HHH and Prichard both came to the ring. Prichard hugged Cody. HHH shook Cody's hand and hugged him. Cody began crying.
Everyone lifted Cody into the air. Cody hugged Michael Cole on the floor for a long time.
Cody offered his hand to Seth Rollins, who shook it.
Everyone left the ring, giving it to Cody. He stood in the center basking in the moment.
This felt like a curtain call at the end of a show as much as a celebration.
Pyro goes off and that's the end my friends.
Cody goes to ringside and starts hugging WWE staffers and WWE President Nick Khan. He heads up the ramp, triumphant.
The story is completed. A new one commences sooner than we know, and once again, it's one more crazy night in Philly.
Back home to NYC I go.
