They have the perfect match to follow that Rumble, Bray Wyatt vs. LA Knight in whatever the Mountain Dew match will be. Weirdness will be fine after what we just saw since I am still buzzing from that Rumble match.
Knight is in the ring first after the recap. Here comes Bray. The people are live for him. He has some war paint on. That doesn't bode well for Knight.
They turned off the lights but Bray had red eyes and Knight’s tights lit up. Think of it like Naomi’s entrance. Bray dominated most of the way. Knight made a comeback and put Bray through the announce table. He tried to use a kendo stick back in the ring but Bray reversed it and hit Sister Abigail for the pin.
After the match Knight tried to use the stick again but Bray forced him to the back. They got to the rampway and Bray tossed Knight. Uncle Howdy appeared above Bray and did a 15 foot splash that set off an explosion. In other words, a typical Bray Wyatt PPV match.
Our official attendance is 51,338.
Time for Bianca Belair to defend her Title against Alexa Bliss. Big pop for the champ coming out.
It’s pretty back and forth early on. Bianca is taking over now. I get the vibe that the fans don't think Bliss can win. And they were right. Bianca got the win with the KOD. Good match but the fans know what they know, and the pre-game hosts can say they think she will win all they want. The fans don't buy it.
After the match there was some Uncle Howdy stuff. He asked Alexa if she felt in charge. Her look clearly said no. To be continued. In essence, it made the loss secondary to what will happen in her story next.
The Elimination Chamber is coming.
So is the Women's Rumble match. It's up next. Rhea Ripley is number one. Wow, if she runs the table, it gets interesting. She is selling the Beth spear. Number two is Liv Morgan. She wanted number one but she got two, which of course is one. Here we go.
Rich is doing a great job with the nitty gritty and this match has less anticipation so I won’t do all of the entrance and such and will just post thoughts. It’s no fault of the women, it’s just that the women have not been booked as strongly as the men. I hope that changes tonight going into Mania.
Dana almost killed Rhea with a botched spot. Yikes.
Bayley is in at 6 do if she wins it, they tell a story about how she earned a shot at Belair. At 7 we will see if B-Fab can wrestle. She did OK for 30 seconds but got eliminated in 36 seconds. It seems like Rhea got blood on her face from a head but. Nice to see Roxanne Perez at 8. It could have been Mandy Rose. Then again, she doesn’t need the money.
At 9 and 10, the tag champs. Bayley and her women should run this for a while.
