Edge pointed to the Mania sign so it’s official, he wants Roman at Mania. I figured when they didn’t set up a challenger for Roman in the Chamber, that is where they would go. So now? I think Drew loses the belt in his match. Sheamus, coming in last, makes the most sense to me. Then they rematch at Mania. We shall see.
Bad Bunny is here with his Title. Miz comes up and asks what are you doing here? He’s a champion. We have a Capital One commercial. They are getting ready for the move to Peacock.
Why are you here. Miz gets mad, Bunny slaps him in the face. When he turns around to attack, Damian Priest was there to stop him. Miz stormed away.
An hour in, we get the Raw announce team for the US Title match. Riddle out first, following by Morrison. And finally, the champion.
Lashley attacked Riddle early while Morrison stayed back and tried to poach Riddle when Lashley moved away. Lashley didn’t like that. He is destroying both guys. So, they smartened up and decided to work together. It was a good idea for a few seconds and then Bobby destroyed them again. Lashley got a little cocky though and it allowed the challengers to hit some big moves on him. Morrison tried to poach a pin on Riddle while Lashley was out but it failed. It must be warm there because everyone is sweating.
Riddle and Morrison went back and forth for a while until Lately came back in. Riddle hit a big knee on him and hit a floating Bro but Morrison broke it up. Morrison hit Starship Pain, but Lashley kicked out. MVP started talking to Morrison so he came out and got his crutch. When he came in, Lashley locked on the Hurt Lock. Morrison dropped the crutch. Riddle picked it up and nailed Bob with it. Bro then covered Morrison and got the pin, new champion. It looks like the rematch happens at Mania because Lashley didn’t lose his Title. Good match, let’s see what Riddle can do with the belt.
I just checked, it’s 68 in Tampa, hence the sweat. They just told those of us in the US that Mania will be on Peacock.
Time for Shayna Baszler and My Hole to defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks. Champs are out first. Nia did not mention her hold….yet. Cole conformed it’s Edge vs. Reigns at Mania.
The champs had to wait in the ring while the challengers did a promo. Reggie crashed. He is putting a bottle on ice for them. Mella won’t be happy.
The challengers are working on the Hole early. Bianca then showed a ton of strength by catching Sasha when Hole tossed her. Hole was shocked at the strength. But then the champs got control on Sasha. They worked her over for a while but then the champ came back and got some near falls of her own. The challengers are working well together. Bianca hit the KOD on Shayna but Nia pulled her out of the ring. Belair tried to lift Nia but couldn’t get her up so Nia slammed her down. Sasha made the save and then hit a Meteora for a two. Reggie came out with a bottle and glasses. Sasha locked the Bank Statement on the Hole. Nia got to the ropes. Reggie rolled in the bottle. Sasha said she didn’t need it. Hole attacked from behind and laid out Sasha to get the pin. It was fine for what it was. I didn’t expect a Title change.
After the match Reggie was sorry, Bianca said hit the road.
Cole and Corey are pushing Mania on Peacock. I hope it doesn’t mean another match! It doesn’t, looks like we will get an old school, 2:40ish PPV.
MVP is talking with Money In The Miz in the back. Chicanery is in play.
Time for our main event, the Raw Elimination Chamber.
