Ricochet vs. Adam Cole is up next!
The crowd loves them both. The story is that Cole keeps saying that Ric isn't special, even though we all know he is. Cole had control most of the way early, with Ric trying to comeback. He finally did with a body attack over the top, to the floor. This allowed him to take control and get a near fall. He has some young Rey Mysterio in him, in that he is so different from everyone else it makes him unique and special. His offense is really different than anyone else, which is cool.
Ric got caught off the ropes into a back stabber and Cole took over again.
Ric was coming off of the ropes and saw the Superkick and blocked it. Ric tried coming off again with an Asai moonsault and ate a superkick, for a two. The crowd is loving it. Ric is special, but so is Cole. He is so good at working.
Cole got a two with an attrition pinfall attempt. That will make sense if you watched it. The crowd is going nuts. They are chanting Mama Mia for Mauro.
Here's the thing about Cole. He can let Ric do his cray stuff while he is the glue.
Ric played possum and set up Cole. He went up but Cole rolled away. He sneered like he was smarter. He was. So, Ric did a leaping ran and took him to the floor. Ric is insane. He tossed Cole back in the ring and went back and hit the 630, 1-2-3. New Champ. Damn, that was some good stuff.

Great recap for Shayna vs. Sane. The Mae Young Classic eats at the champ. Can she vanquish that loss and keep her Title......that is a great storyline. Oh for those that followed my new TV story, the WWE Network app on LG is flawless, props to Andru Edwards, I see what he means about this TV streaming even better than it plays cable.
Time for Shayna Baszler to defend against Kairi Sane. Ronda and the other Horsewomen are at ringside cheering on their buddy.
Sane was perplexing the champ early. Bt that worm turned when the champ clipped Sane's knee and then started kicking her around. She went to work on the right knee. The crowd booed her. That is a good heel. She went old school heel attacking the leg and the fans booed the hell out of her. Yep, they booed the heel for the right reasons. Champ is in control and working over Sane, and even mocking her.
Sane came back and fired up on the champ. She went to "that place and started throwing bombs, knocking the champ down with a backfist and then snap mares. They are telling a great story. She is fighting through the knee injury, all while selling it.
She went up but Shayna kicked her in the face and hit a gut wrench suplex, ouch!
They got to their feet and threw hands. Shayna got the advantage when she went to throwing legs.
But again, out of nowhere, Sane hit the Interceptor and an insane elbow. Up she went again to show she had the killer instinct but Shayna went to the floor. So, Sane hit a splash to the floor instead. Up she went again and hit the insane elbow, but two count only!
Sane was ticked and went for the Anchor. The champ popped out and locked on the choke. Sane tried to get he rope and did. The fans popped. They chanted her name. The champ wanted to no part of it and locked the heel lock on the injured leg. Sane reversed it and went for the anchor but Shayna got to the ropes. So, Sane used the ropes to lock on a version of the Anchor until the ref called for a break. Sane hit an Alabama Slam and then went for the Elbow but Shayna got the Clutch on. Sane rolled into it and while she was being choked, she rolled into a pinfall and won the Title. Everyone was shocked at what happened. Sane was in the choke, but got the pin. Great booking. NXT keeps everyone strong.
After the match, Sane got the Title belt and cried. She fell to the mat to sell how great it was for her. It was really cool.
And now, it's time for our main event of the evening as Tomasso Ciampa defends the NXT Title against Johnny Gargano.
