Here we go!  AJ Styles vs. Brock Lesnar, champion vs. champion.

They showed Jinder cutting a promo saying he was rooting for Styles to win, but only after Brock beats the hell out of him.  Please keep Jinder in the back until after the match is over!    This should be something special and WWE placed it on the show at the last second for a reason - let that reason be that they wanted to overachieve, please.

Each champ showcased their title belts.    The dueling chants started before the bell even rang.  That was cool.    Heyman warned "Mister Performer" that Brock was fighting tonight.

It was all gargantuan Lesnar just tossing Styles around and wrecking him with rough offense.  Brock wiped out a huge overhead belly to belly suplex.  It's all Styles taking crazy bumps and being thrown around  He was sent to the floor and continued to get just destroyed.  Lesnar nailed a leaping knee in the corner and pretty much laughed off the idea that Styles was a threat.  He challenged AJ to get up and fight as he bounced around.  Styles tried to use his speed but was caught and sent back down hard to the mat.  He yelled at Styles to "fight me" and AJ began nailing a series of strikes only to be upended with just one knee.

Brock went for the F5 but Styles evaded it and used his finesse to nail a DDT on Brock.  Styles went for a moonsault but was caught in a powerslam position.  Styles tried to escape but was swatted down as Styles went for a Tornado DDT.  It's Bambi vs. Godzilla thus far.

Styles caught Brock with the Pele Kick as the Universal champ was on all fours.  He went for the Phenomenal Forearm but was caught in mid-air and tossed with a German suplex.  Lesnar hit a bodypress on Styles and went over the top to the floor.    AJ set up for a slingshot into a forearm on the floor, drilling Brock.    Lesnar's knee was smashed into the steps.  Styles nailed a forearm off the steps.  He followed up with a springboard 450 splash for a two count.

Lesnar returned and attempted a F5 but Styles slipped out and locked in the Calf Killer.   He grabbed Styles and began smashing his head into the mat to force the break.  Well, that's one way to do it.  Ouch!  The crowd kept chanting for Styles. Styles kept going and nearly pinned Brock with the Phenomenal Forearm.  We aren't even close to done and this is the best Lesnar match in some time.

I jinxed us as just after I typed this, Styles went for another springboard move but was snatched in mid-air and put down with the F5.

Your winner, Brock Lesnar.

Raw and Smackdown tied up 3-3.

An entertaining bout because Styles was taking lots of great bumps and was the perfect talent to make Brock look like a monster while also being completely competitive.  The crowd was completely into this one as they were having a ball cheering on Styles.  This was treated like a prize fight, not a performance, and the difference was incredible in how more intense everything seemed in comparison to the rest of the matches on the show.

The story after was that Lesnar may have hurt his knee in the match.  Perhaps that wil be a storyline reason we don't see him for awhile.  Lesnar had a nasty looking scrape on one of his arms.

Crowd gave Styles a big ovation after.

It's time for Raw vs. Smackdown to close us out with the Men's Survivor Series bout: Team Raw Captain Kurt Angle, Finn Balor, Triple H, Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman vs. Team Smackdown Live Captain Shane McMahon, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, John Cena and Shinsuke Nakamura.

We have tons of time here, so one would think they are going long.

Each competitor received their own entrances.  Guess who was last?  If you said Kurt Angle, you haven't been paying attention.  It was all Triple H.

Everyone wore Raw shirts except Trips, who had his own red Triple H shirt.

They showed Shane's kids sitting in the first row.  They looked to be having fun.

Pretty big moment for Bobby Roode as this is easily the biggest night of his career.

Angle had one of his quads all taped up.

Cena was last for Team Smackdown, coming out in neon green.  Don't trust him, he's not color coordinated!

Shane tried to jump Strowman before the bell but was caught and tossed across the ring like he was Spike Dudley.  McMahon tagged out and was shocked at how strong Strowman was.  Joe and Orton tagged in.  Lots of tagging in and out and different sequences.  Fans loudly chanted "New Japan" as Finn Balor wrestled Shinsuke Nakamura.  They went back and forth with a nice sequence and faced off.

Triple H called to tag in and faced off with Nakamura.   Nakamura told him to come on.  They locked up and ended up in the corner.  HHH nailed him with a right hand but Nakamura came back with kicks that sent HHH down.    Nakamura tagged out to Roode.  They went nose to nose.  Roode was going to do his Glorious pose but was cracked in the mouth.  They went back and forth until HHH caught Roode with a spinebuster.  HHH whipped out the "Suck It" crotch chop but Roode took him down and did the Glorious pose.  The crowd was loving this.

Angle tagged in and whipped out a German suplex on Roode.  He nailed another.  Nakamura tagged in and began whipping out kicks and strikes.  Joe and Nakamura got involved but were wiped out by Nakamura.  Nakamura escaped the Pedigree and nailed the Kinshasa on HHH but Strowman had already tagged in.  Nakamura hit several big moves but was scooped up in a powerslam for a three count.  See ya Shinsuke.

Roode was right on Braun, who dispatched his offense and nailed a powerslam and that was it for Roode as well.

Joe wanted in the ring and started beefing with Braun.  Triple H tried to calm the situation but Angle took offense with HHH acting as if he was in charge and they got into it.  Everyone battled and when the storm cleared, Cena and Orton were in the ring with Strowman. Braun blew off their offense but they combined like Voltron to hit a double clothesline that rudely sent Strowman to the floor.  John followed him to the floor but was nailed with a right hand.

Orton and Cena tried to suplex Braun through a table but he was too big to suplex.  The rest of Team Smackdown, including the Eliminated members, came over to help and Braun was put through the table.  Shane went to the top, teasing a big move to the floor but Joe grabbed him and suplexed him with a throw into the ring.  Joe went for the choke for Shane escaped and tagged Cena.

Cena wrestled Joe.  They said this was a match you never thought you'd see.  Well, I was gonna see it at MSG until you changed the card, WWE!   Team Raw captured Cena in their corner and worked him over.  Cena avoided a charge but was caught with a Uranage.  Balor tagged in but Joe tagged himself back in.  They had words.  That allowed Cena to hit the AA on Joe and then grabbed Balor for one as well.  Joe was hit with another and pinned.

Angle faced off with Cena.  Cena had a big smile on his face after their first interaction.  Cena was hit with a pair of Angle Slams and a coup de grace by Balor to set up Angle pinning him.  The battle raged on and Balor was caught with the RKO.

It's come down to Orton and Shane vs. Braun, Angle and HHH.  Shane was waiting for a tag from Orton when Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens attacked him and pulled him from the apron.  Shane grabbed a chair and began walloping them with it.  Owens rolled into the ring where Orton snapped him with a RKO.

Strowman has recovered and is now waiting for a tag.  He tagged in and pinned Randy with a powerslam.  Man, they are putting him over bigtime.

Shane is all that is left.  The announcers said that Shane has to face the consequences for what he started when Raw was attacked.  Man, those consequences are some hard times.  Shane grabbed a chair but the referee took it away.

After taking some time to compose himself, Shane entered the ring.  Braun was going to finish him, but HHH tagged himself inm.  Braun wasn't happy and stared HHH down.  Does Jason Jordan cause HHH to get eliminated?  We will soon see.

Nope, not yet at least.  Angle tagged himself in and said it was captain vs. captain.  It's King of the Ring 2001 revisited!  Shane tried to score with a series of two counts.   Kurt whipped out the Angleslam and locked on the anklelock.   Shane teased tapping but HHH entered the ring and attacked Angle, hitting the pedigree.  He placed Shane on top, allowing Angle to get pinned.

Uh, I got nothing.

HHH and Braun stared each other down.  Triple H stood next to Shane, who was holding his leg.  Shane looked up, shocked at HHH.  Apparently, he's got nothing either.   HHH pulled up Shane, then kicked him and nailed the Pedigree, scoring the pin.

Team Raw wins.  Braun and HHH survive.  Braun isn't happy as he's all about fighting and gets in the ring.   HHH raises his arm.  Braun keeps staring at him.  HHH raises his arm again.  The idea is HHH is acting like he's outsmarted everyone but Braun grabs him by the throat.  He tells HHH that if he ever crosses Braun again, he will "never play this game again" and chokes him in the corner.  HHH looked scared.

Braun went to walk away.  HHH attacked him and went for the Pedigree.  Strowman broke free and nailed the powerslam.  The show ended with Braun standing over HHH.  HHH recovered and was nailed another powerslam.  He threw the Raw shirt down on HHH and walked off.

The last shot was HHH unconscious in the ring.

The main event started hot but as it went on, the crowd seemed more confused by the HHH mind games than enthralled.  At the end, they made Braun look strong, they got back to Shane vs. Owens & Zayn and potentially set up Braun vs. Hunter down the line.
