Charly Caruso interviewed Paul Heyman.  It was the usual entertaining promo.  He promised that AJ Styles was going to regret facing Brock Lesnar.

Time for Tag Team champions to face off, The Usos vs. The Bar.  This looks really good on paper.

Jimmy Uso and Sheamus started out and went hard after each other.   Sheamus now has white tips in his mohawk.  All the action was good early on.  One of the Usos went for a dive but Cesaro nailed a big forearm in mid-air.  The other Uso hit the dive but was caught with a rolling senton by Sheamus.  Good, forceful sequences.

The Raw Tag Team champions controlled the ring as they worked over Jey Uso.  Some good textbook tag team wrestling here as they cut the ring in half.    Jimmy Uso finally made the hot tag and scored several two counts.  Jey was setting up for a top rope splash but Sheamus sent Jimmy into the barricade.  Cesaro nailed a big uppercut and then nailed the big swing.  He cinched in a Sharpshooter but Uso made it to the ropes to force the break.  Really good storytelling here.

They had a series of great near, near falls that were very good here.  Everyone looked strong and you could feel the crowd getting more and more into this as they got deeper into the match.  Sheamus missed a Brogue Kick and was drilled with a superkick party.  The finish was really clever with one of the Usos hitting a dive over the top to the floor on Cesaro, wiping him out as he tagged the other Uso, who nailed a top rope splash for the pin on Sheamus.

Good match.  The Usos are so damn good right now, almost at Midnight Express level great.

We are tied up at 2 each.

Jason Jordan cut a promo saying he was healed and ready to go and was behind his team mates if he's needed to step into action.  He was asked if that included Triple H.  He said he hoped HHH gets eliminated and then Team Raw wins.  Hey Jason, ever hear of job security?

They showed hip hop star Travis Scott in the crowd.

They discussed Los Angeles hosting Survivor next year.  I might have to make the trip out for that.

Time for Raw champ Alexa Bliss against Smackdown champ Charlotte.  This should be very interesting.

As you might imagine, Charlotte had the early advantage due to her height and strength advantage.  Dueling chants back and forth early.  They exchanged right hands and slaps.  Bliss snapped Charlotte's arm as she yanked the Smackdown champ off the apron.  Bliss worked over Charlotte early, scoring several two counts.  Charlotte fired back after taking a lot of punishment to the ribs and mid-section.  She tried to go for a moonsault but was attacked and tried to the tree of woe, allowing Bliss to again attack the mid-section.   Bliss came off the ropes with a double kneedrop to the small of the back.  That looked great.

Bliss failed with a sunset flip attempt but kicked Charlotte in the ribs and nailed a sunset bomb for a two count.   She went for a DDT but Charlotte held onto the ropes.  Bliss hurt her back.  Flair unloaded with chops but Bliss dove at her and tried to cinch it a guillotine choke.  Flair got to her feet and powerbombed her down for a near fall.  Good stuff thus far.  Flair nailed Natural Selection but Bliss kicked out, which was a big deal.  Flair missed a moonsault, hurting her ribs again.

The story at this point was that Bliss had Flair nearly beaten but she kept escaping.   Bliss threw a tantrum and was great with her trash talking and facial expressions as she demanded Flair to give up and stop fighting.   Flair made it to her feet and speared Bliss.   Bliss made a comeback and went for the Sparkle Splash but Flair pulled her knees up.

Flair trapped her in the figure eight and Bliss had no choice but to tap.

Smackdown 3, Raw 2

The storyline is that Brock and Team Raw need to win in order for Raw to make the comeback.

I thought they worked really hard and told a good, methodical story.  It wasn't perfect but you could see they were trying to give it their all.  The size difference really stood out here but they kept the crowd interested.
