The Dudley Boyz took the ring and played to the NJ crowd. They got them to treat them like babyfaces, only to heel the crowd and say they put ECW out of business when they left. They said all they wanted to do was get out of New Jersey. This brought out Big Cass, who cut a promo on them basically saying they are old and fat. Cass charged the ring and after getting beat on at first, laid out the Dudleyz.
Miz did a promo as to why he will win tonight.
Rusev and Lana did a Q and A. They love America because we are lazy so they can make money.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin in a No DQ match. It started out with Ziggler going after Corbin but after about a minute Corbin took control. As he was working over Ziggler, the announcers reminded us how Corbin got too cocky before and lost. Shortly thereafter, Dolph came back and took control. That led Corbin to take a powder. He came back in and Ziggler took control again, getting a two count after an elbow. He then got a two on a rollup but Corbin got a two of his own with Deep Six. Ziggler got a two after a DDT and a Famouser. Ziggler was rolling when Corbin blasted him with an uppercut to the nuts. Corbin hit End Of Days and got the pin.
The match was solid. I don’t like that Corbin gave so much (and that isn’t a shot at Dolph) or that he needed a nut shot to win, but so be it.
Time for the changeover of announcers. Michael Cole got a nice reaction. JBL’s music hit and he got a great reaction, then they cut away.
We are opening with the Uso brothers, Use and Use, taking on The Club in a Tornado Tag Team match. I guess Texas got dropped from the name. Where’s the heat? Usos got a mixed reaction. The Club came out next, to a big pop. Use and Use attacked them before they got to the ring. They quickly got inside and we were off to the races, with The Usos, throwing The Club to the floor. They then went out after them, and the tide turned.
Why do I call them Use and Use? Because even Michael Cole, who gets paid to know who they are, just got them wrong.

The Club then went to work, just destroying Jey until Jimmy came back and saved him. Then the men paired off. The Club was in control until the Usos went up to the top. The crowd booed. Anderson pushed Use to the floor and they cheered. Anderson got a two with a Spinebuster. I know I have written that line before.
On the floor Use did a running ass bump to Anderson, but then got laid out by Gallows. Use then was thrown over the barricade. Gallows called for Anderson to get up so they could get Use 2, who was in the ring. Gallows grabbed the ring bell and I hoped using it wouldn’t bring back his old gimmick. Use felt him coming and super kicked him in his face. He went up for the Use splash but Gallows moved and Use hit the Bell. Anderson came in and they his Magic Killer and they pinned Use.
The announced sold that the Usos wouldn't be there to help Roman Reigns later.
Very good match to start the show.
Rusev, with Lana, vs. Kalisto for The US Title is next. Rusev was out first. The announcers sold that Kalisto was beaten down last week and wondered if he could go tonight. The champ started out quickly with kicks to the legs of Rusev. But, Rusev quickly took over and went to work on the champ while the crowd chanted for Lana. When I say he wet to work, I mean he just destroyed him for a while. It was totally one sided until Kalisto managed to use his knees to get out of a version of the Torture Rack and turn it into a Sleeper, but Rusev powered out.
Kalisto hit a DDT off of the ropes to get back in it. Kalisto got a two with a rana. Then Kalisto came through the ropes for a horribly fake looking head scissors, where Rusev went into the ring steps. Kalisto got a two count when they go back in the ring. He went for Salida del So but Rusev rolled to the floor. Kalisto did a moonsault from the top to the floor, and threw Rusev back in the ring. Kalisto was on the top when Rusev grabbed him and rudely dumped him on the apron. Kalisto sold it like he was broken, and it looked like he might have been, The doctor was looking at Kalisto so Rusev pulled him back into the ring to keep the match going. Rusev kicked the back and finally locked on The Accolade. It was a little rough in spots but overall pretty good. The right guy won but the champ still looked good in losing.
After the match the doctor came in to check on the ex-champ.
Lilian Garcia is in the ring to announce the Tag Title match. For someone that is fired, she sure doesn’t understand what that means. Maybe she is like Kramer from Seinfeld. Seriously, New Day vs. The Vaudevillians is next.
The champs did a promo, where the punch line was Big E, with two garden tools on his shoulder, said that since we are in the Garden State, they will put two hoes in the ground. That brought out the Vaudevillians. Tonight’s New Day team is Xavier and Big E. Hmmn.
X started and the heels went to work on him from the start. He finally got to tag Big E and he came in on fire. I love Big E. He is so good. As E went for his spear when English was on the apron, English got the knee up and stopped it. X got the tag and the heels hit Whirling Dervish, but X kicked out. Big E was out on the floor so X was by himself until E came in and hit the Big Spear on the apron on English, and they went flying to the floor. Kofi his Trouble in Paradise on Gotch and X then got the cover.
Good, fun New Day match.
Renee Young interviewed AJ Styles in the back. No matter what happens tonight, he will walk out the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and continue to be phenomenal.
