Out first for the IC Ladder match was Daniel Bryan, to a huge pop. Cole said that we are beginning WrestleMania the way that we ended it last year, with Bryan. Next out was the Champ, Bad News Barrett. They couldn't even give us the illusion by having him come out last? The Zig Zag man was next, to a good pop. Then CodyDust. He is from The Fifth Dimension. Luke Harper, R-Truth and finally, to a big pop, Dean Ambrose. The bell rang and they were off to the races. Good luck covering this Richard Trionfo!
It was a car crash early on with guys hitting the floor to set up a Harper tope. Then Ambrose climbed a HIGH ladder and dropped a Savage Elbow on them all. Truth got a ladder in the ring but he is afraid of heights. He is in the wrong match. Barrett came in and stopped him, but then Bryan laid BNB out. Bryan made a ladder sandwich out of Cody and Harper for a few running kicks, but then they dump the ladder in his face. Harper got caught in a ladder and Bryan kicked the snot out of him. Bryan went up but Zig stopped him and superkicked him. Ambrose and Dolph fought on the ladder, trying to get the belt. Dust then knocked a bunch of guys off of the ladder and then went to work on guys' legs as the crowd chanted CODY! Cody then went under the ring to get his own special space ladder, which was a regular ladder. BNB ripped a leg off of it and went to work on Dust until Dean made the save.
HArer toom control and did the Terry Funk battering ram spot with a ladder until Truth nailed him. Truth set up a big ladder but Barrett stopped him before he could get up there. Stardust went up the ladder but BNB stopped him and suplexed him off it, getting a holy sh** chant. Bryan, Zig and Dean got on the ladder and started fighting until Dean dumped the other two off. Dean set up under the belt and started his climb. Harper tried to stop him but Dean laid him out. Up the ladder he went up but Harper got him off of the rope and powerbombed Dean onto a ladder that was draped across the apron and ring barrier. DAMN! Luke went to go up the ladder but Zig jumped on his back and locked on the sleeper. As the got to the top, Harper went out and bot went down. The only one who could get up was Zig. He made it to the top when Barrett came out of nowhere and stopped him. Bullhammer. Then he nailed Cody. As Truth climbed BNB caught him, Bullhammer off of the ladder. A bunch of guys came in and Barrett stopped them and moved the ladder but then Bryan came out of nowhere and laid him out. Bryan got to the top but Zig came out of nowhere and they duked it out at the top of the ladder. Headbutts galore. Finally Zig dropped after about the tenth one from Bryan, leaving Daniel to grab the title. The crowd went nuts with YES chants! Awesome visual of Bryan on the ladder getting the chants.
These guys laid it all on the line. They will all be hurting from this one. For the kind of match it was, it was awesome.
Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins is next. This should be the second great match.
Seth Rollins came out first, to a mixed reaction. He had the stooges with him. The announcers put over he could cash in later tonight if wanted to. Orton came out to a nice pop.
Early on, they locked up and Randy went for an early RKO but Rollins bailed. He came back in but took an early beating from Orton. The Stooges tried to interject but both got laid out and then a double DDT on the floor. That gave Rollins the chance to take Orton out with a tope/shoulder block through the second and top ropes. That gave Rollins his chance to take control for a while.
Orton came back with a nice full body suplex but Rollins countered with an enziguiri and then a pretty Asai Moonsault. The announcers were selling that Randy was hurt. Rollins took him back in the ring and then went up top but Randy stopped him. Randy went up for the superplex but Rollins fought out, but Orton still hit him with the backdrop. Orton did a splash from the top but Rollins rolled through. Two count. Orton then got up and hit the DDT from the second rope. Rather than pin him, he wanted him to suffer. The crowd wanted him to do the RKO. He missed. Rollins nailed him in the jaw but Randy managed to hit the RKO, two count only. Randy was shocked. So Randy instead decided to go for the punt. The stooges stopped him and took RKOs whoch let Rollins hit a crazy curbstomp. Two count only.
Rollins got up and went to the top where he went for a moonsault but Randy saw it coming so Seth adjusted. Rollins went for another super curbstomp but Orton turned it into a really cool RKO. 1-2-3.
These two had an excellent match, no way they can let this be it for them. This went on so early it makes me wonder if Rollins will be cashing in tonight. If/when he does, he has a ready made program here. And there is always Roman Reigns as well.
The showed Ronda Rousey in the crowd having fun. Beware of Mike Epsenhart Ronda.
