UPDATED AT 10:49 AM WITH PARTS I SOMEHOW ELIMINATED LAST NIGHT: DAVE’S SURVIVOR SERIES BLOG

By Dave Scherer on 2014-11-23 23:00:00

They showed Fandango’s return from the pre-show. Also, we saw Bad News Barrett say he is back. Then they threw it to the panel. They talked about tonight’s main event. And then previewed the rest of the show. They did a big recap on Bray Wyatt vs. Dean Ambrose. That led to the match.

They went at it from the get go, selling it was a fight. The first big spot saw Dean do a splash to the floor on Bray, but he got his forearm up and pasted Dean. He took control for a while and then they went to the floor and did a double clothesline spot. Then it became a brawl. Dean hit a running bulldog and then mocked Bray by doing his upside down thing and got his turn for the big spots, including a leg drop from the top on Bray’s neck when he was tied in the ropes. The announcers are selling that these two are vying for the title of most crazy person in WWE. … Bray went for a sexton from the second rope but missed, leading to a near fall. Dean followed with a big clothesline and an elbow to the face from the top on Bray for a two. Bray came back with a Clothesline From Hell, for real. He then did slammed Dean on the steps. Bray rolled him in but only got a two count. Bray took the mic and asked why he is doing this. It didn’t have to be this way. We could have ruled the world. We are special. Can’t you see that. Bray said he’s sorry, but you chose your path, and punched him in the face. He went under the table and grabbed two chairs. The ref took one and Dean grabbed the other. The ref said he will DQ him but Bray went on his knees and said do it. Ambrose said F it, got DQ’d and hit Bray in the gut, then his back. He then did a double armed Dirty Deeds suplex on the chair. Dean went under the ring and got a table. He put Bray on it, went to the top rope and dropped a Randy Savage elbow on Bray through the table. Dean put another table on the prone Bray and then hit it with a chair. He then did the ECW throw a lot of chairs in the ring spot made famous by Terry Funk, and the crowd chanted ECW. Finally, Dean smirked and walked away. Or did he. Nope, he went under the ring again and got a ladder (you know what next month’s PPV is right, TLC baby and here is your preview). As he put the ladder in the ring, the fans chanted THIS IS AWESOME. It is, we wrestling fans love this stuff. Dean then set up what appeared to be a 12 foot ladder. Dean climbed the ladder, while the crowd cheered. He didn’t jump though. We will see that next month. Dean got his pops from the crowd before leaving. Bray was still prone under the wreckage.

It was a really good, tons of fun (for me) match. Dean is a guy who is quickly becoming the person that it doesn’t matter if he wins or loses, he just fights. There is a spot for that in WWE.

In the back, The Authority gave a pep talk to their team. They don’t exactly mean it, as Steph sounded a bit scared and HHH talked about all of the bad that happens if they don’t win. He says the next bosses won’t be like them and basically told Rollins he will never be a champion if the team loses. They fight like their last breath depends on it. Your life is on the line. He gets them to all chant fight.

Time for the Bunny and Adam Rose vs. Slater Gator, a.k.a. go refill your glass and take a leak. Yes, the Bunny is wrestling. As a bunny. I would be lying if I said I cared about this. The Bunny worked like a bunny. The announcers liked it. The Bunny was the star. He beat Heath Slater. Rose wasn’t happy. It was the Bunny show. Adam never got in. The Bunny did the Trust Fall on the followers. Yes, I just wrote that but I got paid to do so. I don’t feel quite as bad knowing that. I won’t even update the headline after that.

They brought Roman Reigns up live on the TitanTron, from the back. He said he wishes he was there in St. Louis, well he is, but if he was here when he’s not here but here, he would cock his fist and make it rain. JBL asked how he feels about watching Seth Rollins go for glory while he is at home. He called JBL a dope. Next month, Cena or The Authority may be out, but he will be back. Believe that.

In the back, team Cena is a little worried. They will do what they can. Ziggler will do all he can tonight. Show and Big Guyback agree. Cena said there is one thing to do and Rowan says win.

AJ vs. Nikki Bella (with Brie) is next.

This one was quick. After showing a promo where AJ said she was serious about her Title, she lost. Quickly. Like right after the bell rang, Brie hopped on the apron with AJ’s Title on her shoulder. AJ went over to her. Brie then kissed her. AJ was stunned. She turned into a punch and got beaten with the Can Slam. Brie didn’t do it because she was forced to. She was happy for her sister. So the last month makes no sense. And if AJ does leave, they finally got AJ to do the lesbian stuff she didn’t want to do.

After that, they plugged the love Austin-McMahon podcast, on the Network on 12/1. Yeah, it's on TV which means it's not a podcast. Don't ask.

They are plugging the main event now, with footage of everything that got us to here with Cena and The Authority.
