Eddie Kingston won the AAW championship at their 9/12 event in Berwyn, IL, defeating Shane Holister. Johnny Gargano worked the undercard, defeating Tomasso Ciampa. Other results for the show, which got good reviews, saw Money" Matt Cage beating Jimmy Jacobs, The Hoolingans (with Bucky Collins) beat "All About Me" Malakai Matthews/"Dynamite" Pete Dun, Heidi Lovelace beat Davey Vega, Justice Jones (w/Knight Wagner and Erin) beat Paco "The Madman" Gonzales, Christian Faith defeated Arik Cannon in a Streetfight, Monster Mafia beat Louis Lyndon and ACH in a Three-Way and We Are Here & The Marcus Crane Experience & Dan Lawrence Project beat Zero Gravity & Juntai Miller & Marion Fontaine.
A show under the "Heroes and Legends" banner was run on 9/13 in conjunction with a convention of the same name in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The show was headlined by HLW champion Dru Skillz defeating former WWE star Carlito. Tommy Dreamer worked the undercard, putting over Russ Jones. Sugar Dunkerton, who has a fun throwback basketball gimmick, defeated Tracy Smothers. I bet that was a fun match. Bob Holly beat Kharn Alexander. The BWO reunited, putting over HLW Tag Team champions Jake Omen & Scotty Young. Gangrel defeated Kongo Kong. Sabu made a cameo during the show attacking Jun Hado and dropkicking a chair into his face.
Lots of names appeared on the 9/13 Ultimate Championship Wresting event in Bay City, Michigan. N8 Mattson defeated Gavin Quinn by disqualification to retain the lightweight belt when Justin Mane interfered which lead to Justin Mane & Gavin Quinn defeating Chris Sabin & N8 Mattson when Quinn pinned Mattson after Sabin hit Mattson with a superkick by accident. Jim Neidhart appeared in an angle where he was confronted by Justin Mane and laid out Mane. There were several title changes on the show. The Flatliners defeated The Pain Killers to win the UCW Tag Team belts while Viper Pete Christie pinned Austin Manix to win the promotion's heavyweight belt.
Gene Snitsky is headlining the 9/20 Firebird Wrestling event in Merrillville, Indiana, working a handicap match against a team billed as, I kid you not, the Freebirds.
Pro Wrestling Phoenix will run Council Bluffs, Iowa this Saturday 9/20, headlined by Darren “Thunder†Russell vs. “Showtime†Bradley Charles and Bobby Eaton appearing.
A group titled Chicago Style Wrestling will run 9/20 at the Edison Park Inn headlined by CSW champion Superstar Steve Boz vs. Jason Dukes.
NWA Smoky Mountain will run this Saturday 9/20 in Kingsport, TN at the Civic Auditorium with champion Jason Kincaid defending his title twice, facing Andy Awesome and Michael Starr. The back story is that Awesome was recently diagnosed with cancer and Kincaid is facing him as a tribute to his friend. Former ECW star EZ Money is also working the show.
Pro Wrestling Revolution will debut in Denver, Colorado on 9/21 with Hysteria and Psicosis vs. Alebrije and Sangre Latina, Pirata Morgan and El Comando Infernal vs. Picachu and Delta Jr. and a Minis championship bout featuring El Mariachi vs. La Migra.
Dory and Marti Funk's !Bang! will return to Ocala, FL on 9/27 headlined by Jordan Decker vs. Dalton Drellich.
New Breed Pro Wrestling is now running weekly in Humboldt, TN on Saturday at what it billed as The New Breed Arena, located at 508 W. Main Street.
