Super Smash Brothers vs Young Bucks

The Young Bucks will be getting a shot at the Open The United Gate Title tomorrow night, but first they have to go through a team that's been consistently successful in DGUSA & EVOLVE for a couple of years and have really improved a lot in the last year or so. Nick and Player Dos start us off with some back and forth high flying moves, they don't get anywhere so Player Uno tags in and doesn't budge when Nick tries a couple of shoulderblocks, so Nick kicks him in the gut and tries another shoulderblock, but Uno just runs right over him and pokes Matt in the eyes a couple of times and DDTs him before dumping Nick out to the floor. Dos is back in and I guess Matt tagged in as well, they hit a series of double teams for a near fall, Matt gets a knee in the gut to Dos and they do a double drop toehold, then do their pose before making a wish with Dos' legs. Uno comes in and they do some double teams to the Bucks, and Dos winds up trading blows in the middle of the ring until Matt makes a blind tag to Nick, who comes in and takes Dos' head off with a spinning enziguiri. Matt does a cartwheel back rake to Dos, Nick tags in and chokes Dos with his boot and then the Bucks hit a double team neckbreaker before cheapshotting Uno off the apron. Dos drops down and Nick charges over him to the floor, Matt stops to spit at Uno and charges into Dos' elbow, and Dos cartwheels past Matt to make the tag, but Nick yanked Uno off the apron right before he got there and Matt spears Dos for 2. Dos takes both Bucks out with a double enziguiri and makes the tag to Player Uno, who runs over both Bucks with heavy shots. Uno hits Matt with a neckbreaker and gives Nick a Flatliner, Uno has Matt on his back and gives Nick a vertical suplex for a cool one-man double team, Matt rams the SSB together and double handsprings right into a chop from Dos. Nick hits a facebuster on Dos, gets speared to the floor by Uno, and Matt takes Uno out with a crossbody. Dos rolls through a crossbody by Matt and hits a spinning facebuster for 2, Nick stops them from hitting their finish, Dos fights Nick off and knockout kicks Matt in the head, then takes Nick out with a knockout kick and Uno piledrives him for 2. Now the Bucks hit a series of double teams to the SSB, but Nick accidentally drills Matt with a high knee and then Dos suplexes Nick into Matt. SSB hit their finish on Nick, but Matt breaks the cover at the last second. Matt is fighting both SSB off, then superkick the hell out of both SSB, including a double superkick to Dos as he tries a handspring move. Nick hits a 450 on Dos for 2 and they go for More Bang For Your Buck, but Uno shoves Nick to the floor and they hit the Fatality on Matt for the win.

Winners: Super Smash Brothers

I think this is the biggest win I've ever seen the Super Smash Brothers get. With the Bucks getting a title shot tomorrow night, this would also seem to put the SSB in title contention. The Bucks don't seem into that, as they lay the SSB out after the match.

It's main event time!

EVOLVE Title Tournament Finals: AR Fox vs Sami Callihan

AR Fox tries going after Callihan's leg right off the bat, but Sami slaps the taste out of his mouth and starts unloading with hard hitting offense. He gets a legdrop for 2, then gets a double leg ride and hammers forearms into the back of Fox's head. Callihan is taking a very methodical pace, dishing out some hard chops until Fox fires back and whips Callihan to the corner. Callihan is having trouble staying on his feet as he goes to the top rope, and Fox dropkicks Callihan to the floor and then takes him out with a dive. Fox rams Callihan into the guardrail and then hits a running shooting star press on the floor. Fox tries another whip, but Callihan reverses and Fox hits the rail. He doesn't slow down very much, quickly superkicking Callihan and rolling him onto the apron to set up for the top rope legdrop. Fox connects, then takes Callihan out with a dive through the ropes. He tries a second, but appears to catch his foot on the ropes on the way through and lands on his head on the floor. Fox slowly gets to his feet, but Callihan has his opening and hits a sickening backdrop suplex into the rail. Callihan shows he's smarter than Chuck Taylor by rolling inside and letting the referee count, but Fox just barely makes it in before the countout. Callihan holds Fox's arms and curb stomps him in the face and then tells the referee to count Fox down. Callihan whips Fox into the corner so hard that he does a full flip and lands upside down on his head. Callihan gets a spinning toehold, then drops all his weight down on the knee. Fox tries to roll out to the floor to put some distance between them, but Callihan goes out and bodyslams Fox onto the ring apron and then again on the floor with an audible thud. We go back inside as Sami spits onto his hand and chops Fox and then gives him a straight right punch to the face. Callihan puts Fox on the top rope and goes for a superplex, but Fox fights him off and Sami rolls clear across the ring, and Fox leaps off the ropes, lands in a forward roll, and rolls forward a second time into a cannonball in the corner. Fox drills Sami with a running Bicycle kick in the corner, then hits a second one, Callihan dodges a third but Fox catches him with a springboard Ace Crusher and hits a Swanton for 2. Fox goes for a 450 splash, but Callihan gets his boot in Fox's face and knocks him silly. Now a re-energized Sami is on his feet, hits repeated facewashes to Fox, but misses one and Fox nearly gets 3 off a rollup. Fox hits a 450 splash for 2, then sits Sami on the top rope, Sami fights him off but Fox hits him with a dropkick and goes for Lo Mein Pain. Sami blocks it and German suplexes Fox off the ropes, powerbombs him for 2, gets him in the stretch muffler, converts it to a half crab, but Fox somehow makes it to the ropes. REALLY?? Callihan goes to the second rope and drags Fox up, Fox slips out and goes for Lo Mein Pain and hits it for the win.

Winner and New EVOLVE Champion: AR Fox

I think Sami ought to have won off of that combo toward the end, but I did at least call the finish. Sami raises Fox's hand, and Lenny goes to interview the new champion, who dedicates the win to the #2 high flyer, Ricochet. He'll defend the title against anyone who wants to step in the ring with him because in EVOLVE, we wrestle. The Young Bucks come into the ring to congratulate Fox on his win, but warns him that he's facing the hottest team in wrestling tomorrow night, and the Open the United Gate Title is coming home with them to southern California.
