Rusev defending the US Title vs. Roman Reigns is up next. Rusev is out first. Reigns is out next. He got some cheers. And he got his usual boos.
Rusev was in control early on. The fans that were chanting for Roman were shouted down by the hipsters. But as Cole said, they were split down the middle so that is progress. Way to go regular fans! I wish they would chant, "You Hipsters liked him when he was in The Shield you posers!"
As Reigns started coming back, the hipsters in Indiana started chanting for, I think, CM Punk. They weren’t loud enough to be sure of. Rusev stayed in control though so they kept yelling. But I like that the regular fans are fighting back against them.

You can let go of your hate for the guy in the US Title match. Sheesh. Anyway, Rusev stayed in control though so they kept yelling. Rusev went for a headbutt off of the ropes and missed. Reigns hit a Samoan Drop for a two. Then they went to the floor where Reigns beat him up.
Reigns went for Superman but Rusev kicked him in the head. Rusev kept a bit of control. He set up for the Accolade but ate the punch. Two count. Reigns set up but Lana got on the apron. Rusev hit a kick on the distraction for a two. Rusev went nuts instead of going for the Accolade. Then it set in he should, and did, but Reigns got out and hit a Spear and the fans cheered loud enough to make the Hipsters go away. At two, Lana pulled the ref out. He tossed her to the back as the match continued. Reigns got two with a roll up. He tossed Reigns to the floor. Reigns hit the Drive By. And then another on the announce table. Back in the ring he went for the Spear but ran into a kick. Two count. Rusev locked in the Accolade in the center of the ring. Will he tap? Pass out? No, power out. The hipsters are losing their minds. Rusev hit a kick but as he went for the kick, he got hit with the Spear. Reigns got the pin. Lots of fans were happy. The hipsters were pissed. Originally, I wanted Reigns to lose but I was glad he won. The fans booing him are just being ridiculous now so they can continue to be so. This was another excellent match.
Kevin Owens defending the Universal Title against Seth Rollins is up next.
Rollins is out first, to a big pop. He is from Iowa, but he has also been a face (or close) of late. KO is next. He got huge pop too. Listen WWE. Faces. Heels. They don’t matter as much as people that the fans like. Big lesson there.
The Smackdown PPV was almost over by this time. This one, not so much. Is it subliminal or real? Time will tell.
Rollins, big pop when he was announced. KO, loud but mixed. It just dawned on me that "Kevin Steen vs. Tyler Black" is headlining a WWE PPV. Thanks Ring of Honor and WWE.
Tyler, er Seth, was in control early, working over the champ.
Owens took control and told Rollins he is the champ, then went to work to prove it.
Awesome line came when Steen, er Owens, said, “When I am done with you, you are going to fade into black. Get it?” Yes, Tyler Rollins gets it. Owens has been in control for a good five minutes. He is laying the beat down while telling Rollins he is the foundation of the company. Shortly thereafter, Rollins nailed Owens with a clothesline and both men went down. Then they got up and threw hands. Rollins hit Slingblade.
He hit some running elbows to the face and dropped KO on a knee to the back for a two. He tossed him to the floor and threw him in the barricade. And then another barricade. Spanish announce table? You are about to die. He prepped it and went after KO. In the ring Rollins his a kick to the face for a two. The Spanish table is waiting. Rollins got up and had the fans on his side. He hit the kick and went for the Pedigree but Owens got out. As Rollins went to the ropes Owens kicked the leg. After a cannonball senton, Owens got a two count.
They nailed each other with big spots and both men went down to the mat. Who would get up first? Seth. For a second. KO went for the cannonball but missed. KO got a two off of a shoulder buster.
KO went up top but Rollins stopped him with a kick. Rollins mounted on the ropes but KO hit a headbutt. Rollins came back in a flash but KO his a sick gut buster from the top and a frog splash, but only to two. Rollins rolled to the floor. KO followed. They went to the announce table.
He put Rollins on the table and rolled back in the ring. He came back out on the adjoining table and did the crotch chop, followed by a senton. But Rollins moved! The fans gave the awesome chant. They are right. Back in the ring, Seth blasted KO with a knee to the head from the top. He then did a frog splash. Two count only.
It is after 11 in the east, we are going long. Jericho ran out. Rollins was distracted and KO got a two. KO got thrown into Jericho on the apron. Rollins did a crotch chop and yelled suck it, hit the Pedigree and Jericho put KO’s leg on the rope to stop the count. Rollins chased off Jericho and when he came back in he ran into a pop up, but he got out but bumped the ref. Rollins hit the Pedigree but the ref was out. No count.
With the ref out, Jericho came in and attacked Rollins. Rollins came back and dumped him to the floor. Rollins hit a tope on Jericho. Then Owens. He is the face here for sure. The ref is still out. Rollins tried to wake up the ref when Steph Mac sent out another one. Owens used that to his advantage hit a powerbomb. Steph, who was in leather meaning she is evil, gave the, “you don’t mess with a McMahon” look to Rollins and went to the back. So, Triple H wasn’t the one to get involved, it was his wife. Seth got screwed. KO is the champ. Find out why on Raw tomorrow.
Excellent match and I won’t complain about the finish. I expected something like this to happen.
Overall, it was a really good show, with a lot of great wrestling and logical booking. The Network is about to get you to tune into Raw tomorrow while giving you value.
