You know, I get what the fans are thinking, but I actually liked the finish. They had a fabulous match and by not doing a finish tonight, there will be some real interest in the inevitable match 7. I am OK with it. I liked this match a lot. It may actually even have a positive effect on both men. And I am really happy Cesaro isn’t hurt.
Bayley and Charlotte faced off in the back. Bayley reminded the champ that she has beaten her. The champ said she couldn’t even beat Sasha.
Sami Zayn vs. Chris Jericho is up next.
Sami was in full control early until Jericho used the ref as a cover to hit a kick and gain control.
Sami was in full control early until Jericho used the ref as a cover to hit a kick and gain control. Jericho abused him and talked smack until Sami ran him into the corner. He hit a clothesline and then dumped Jericho over the top rope to the floor. Sami hit the big tope con hilo over the top. They went back in and fought until Sami came off of the top, but Chris moved. He went for the Walls but Sami got out. Jericho hit a big kick and went back to work. But Sami powered back and went for Helluva. Chris rolled to the floor so Sami the awesome jump through the ropes into the DDT spot. Sami missed a Helluva but hit an Exploder Suplex. Sami went for the kick again but Jericho rolled through and locked in the Walls. Can Sami make the ropes? Chris says no and pulled him back. So Sami turned it into a small package for a two. Jericho went up and got caught in a Blue Thunder Bomb for a two. The fans are totally into it. Jericho came back with a Codebreaker to get the win.
The match was outstanding. They sold that Jericho is a wily veteran. I would have liked to have seen Sami win but if the goal is to have Sami show growth in their feud and eventually vanquish him, that is the kind of character development I like so I am OK with it.
Kevin Owens told Mick Foley and Stephanie that Seth Rollins is a fraud and she never should have backed him. Mick likes his attitude.
Charlotte defending the Raw Women’s Title against Sasha Banks and Bayley is next.
Bayley came out first, to a great pop. Sasha was next, to one as well. Then Charlotte. Cole was selling their Four Women in NXT days. It is refreshing. Graves said that there is only one Horseman, Ric Flair, and one Horsewoman, Charlotte.
Early on, with Charlotte on the floor, Sasha and Bayley faced off. It’s every woman for themselves.
It was every woman for themselves for a while until Bayley got thrown to the floor and Dana laid her out. It’s legal. Charlotte then went to work on Sasha. She took some time to nail Bayley on the floor too, as she had control. Sasha kept fighting back. Out of nowhere Bayley hit a splash on both! A fresh Bayley went to work on both women. Sasha was the first one to come back on her. She set Bayley on the middle rope and hit her with double knees. Charlotte broke up the pin. Sasha hit the double knee on Bayley from the apron to the floor. Sasha fought on the floor with Charlotte. She slugged Dana. But back in the ring, Charlotte did a back breaker and then a modified chokeslam. Bayley came in and did a Bayley to Belly but Sasha tried to poach the pin. It continues. With all three on their knees, Charlotte hit them with chops until Bayley and Sasha teamed to stop her. But Charlotte made her own save and Bayley got dusted. This is really good. Sasha faced off with Charlotte but after dumping Charlotte, Bayley came back in. Charlotte is doing really well in a two vs. one. She went up and hit a great double moonsault on both. She went to pin Sasha but she kicked out. She did the same with Bayley. She put Natural Selection on Bayley but Sasha came in and hit the Bank Statement. Dana pulled the champ out and the challengers faced off. Bayley got tossed and Sasha hit the Back Stabber and the Bank Statement. Sasha fought off Dana, but Bayley broke it up. Bank Statement on Bayley but the champ broke it up. Charlotte dumped Sasha to the floor. She told the camera man to move and threw Sasha into the barricade. She went back in and Bayley got a two with a roll up. She went to roll her up again but Charlotte used Sasha to keep her balance and then pinned Bayley after a big boot. Excellent match and booking as well. Everyone looked strong.
