WWN MERCURY RISING 2018 REPORT AND THOUGHTS: RIDDLE VERSUS OSPREAY, LEE VERSUS SEKIMOTO, EVOLVE TAG TITLE MATCH, AND MORE

Trevin Adams welcomes everyone to Mercury Rising and he goes over the matches on the show.

Match Number One:  AR Fox, DJZ, and Trey Miguel versus Austin Theory, Travis Banks, and Zachary Wentz

Theory and DJZ start things off and Austin asks for the horn and DJ gets it.  Austin with a forearm.  Fox comes in and he is on Austin's shoudlers but he escapes.  Austin blocks a rana but Fox with a kick.  Wentz with a springboard cross body and Miguel comes in and he hits a head scissors take down.  Banks sends Miguel in the air and hits a drop kick.  DJZ with a flapjack to Banks and then he goes for a step over toe hold and he drops back with some horn accompaniment.  He hits a suplex on Theory while holding on to the toe hold.  Austin is sent to the floor and DJZ with a cross body onto everyone but Miguel.  Wentz with a drop kick to Miguel's leg and then Wentz with a plancha.

Miguel with a springboard plancha onto everyone.  Fox goes into the ring and he goes up top and hits Lo Mein Rain and then he goes back to the apron and he punches Austin and sends him into the ring.  Fox puts Austin on the turnbuckles and drop kicks Theory in the knees.  Fox goes for an elevated DDT but Wentz, DJZ, and Banks stop him.  Miguel with a jumping neck breaker and everyone goes down.

Banks with kicks to Fox and DJZ but DJZ accidentally kicks Fox.  Banks with a German suplex and he hits a series of running European uppercuts.  Banks with a cannonball to DJZ and Fox.  Miguel kicks Banks and then kicks Banks off the turnbuckles.  Miguel comes off the turnbuckles and misses.  Wentz and Banks are sent into the ropes.  Miguel with a kick to Austin and then he hits a springboard head scissors take down.  Wentz and Banks with super kicks to Miguel.  DJZ with a moonsault and Fox with an Ace Crusher to Miguel for a near fall.

Fox with an elbow to Austin but Austin catches Fox on his shoulders and hits Three Seconds Around the World.  DJZ with a rollup on Theory for a near fall and then he hits a power bomb.  DJZ with a satellite DDT.  Banks with a drop kick and Kiwi Crusher to DJZ.  Miguel with Meteora.  Wentz with a springboard cutter to Miguel.  Fox with a Mafia kick to Wentz followed by Low Mein Pain.  DJZ with a neck breaker and then Miguel with Roll the Dice.  Fox with a swanton for a near fall.  

Fox with a super kick to Theory and then DJZ goes up top and he hits a 450 splash on Wentz for the three count while Fox and Miguel hit suicide dives.

Winners:  AR Fox, DJZ, and Trey Miguel

After the match, DJZ has some words for Austin Theory.

Jason Kincaid comes out for his match and he is distracted by Candy Cartwright to allow Jarek 1:20 to attack him.  Kincaid is dropped on the guardrail.  The referee talks to Jarek and Jarek sends him into the ring post.Jarek has handcuffs and he drops KIncaid across the guardrail.  Jarek cuffs Kincaid to the guardrails.  Jarek with a boot to the head and then he chokes Kincaid using the handcuffs.

Kincaid is uncuffed and he goes to the back.

Match Number Two:  Zack Sabre Jr. versus Munenori Sawa

Sabre offers his hand and Sawa slaps Sabre before the bell rings.  They jockey for position and Sabre backs Sawa into the ropes.  Sabre with a take down and he applies a reverse chin lock.  Sawa with a head scissors and Sabre escapes.  They lock up and Sabre with a chin lock into a front face lock.  Sawa with a waist lock and he rubs his elbow in Sawa's back.  Sabre goes for a cross arm breaker but Sawa gets to the ropes.  Sabre goes to the floor and so does Sawa.  Sabre with a slap and Sawa slaps back.  Sawa with more strikes and Sabre with a European uppercut.  They continue the assault on the floor and Saw sits down in a chair and tells Sabre to hit him.  Sabre with slaps.  Sawa puts Sabre in the chair and slaps Sabre to the floor.

They decide to go back into the ring.  Sabre with European uppercuts to Sawa but he misses a round kick.  Sabre with an abdominal stretch.  Sawa with a reversal and an abdominal stretch of his own.  Sabre with another reversal.  Sawa and Sabre make their way to the ropes.  Sabre with a clean break.  Sawa and Sabre with kicks to the leg.  Sawa sends Sabre to his knees with a kick and Sabre kicks back.  Sawa with a leg trip and a knee bar.  Sabre with a heel hook but Sawa works on Sabre's legs.

Sawa kicks Sabre and Sabre slaps Sawa in the head.  Sawa with a kick and Sabre releases the hold.  Sawa with a snap elbow drop.  Sawa with a series of rapid fire strikes in the corner followed by a spinning back heel kick.  Sawa with a jumping kick to the head and both men are down and on the apron.  Sawa gets to his feet first and Sabre with a chop.  Sawa with a slap and they go back and forth.  They go to kicks.  Sawa blocks a kick and Sabre with a slap.  Sawa with a head butt and he applies a standing ankle lock.  Sabre with a guillotine.  Sabre with an arm bar and he goes back into the ring and returns to the arm bar.

Sawa with a shoulder but Sabre moves on a second one and he has an octopus in the ropes.  Sabre tries to kick Sawa off the apron and Sawa blocks it and hits a dragon screw in the ropes.  Sabre holds his knee but he is able to apply an octopus.  Sawa with a dragon screw leg whip.  Sawa with a Shining Wizard and both men are down.  Sawa gets a near fall.  Sawa winds up and he hits an Ohtani punch.  Sabre avoids a kick and then he catches Sawa on a spinning heel kick and he applies an STF into a head scissors and arm bar.  

Sawa gets to the ropes to force Sabre to release the hold.  Sabre with a European uppercut.  Sawa with an octopus but Sabre turns Sawa and tries to get to the ropes but Sawa regains control until Sabre falls into the ropes to force the break.  Sabre with a knee and he tries for a cross arm breaker but Sawa blocks it and counters into an attempted cross arm breaker of his own.  Sabre counters and Sawa still blocks it.  Sabre with a rollup for a near fall as he counters the arm bar attempt.

Sabre with a kick to the arm but Sawa with a punch.  Sabre with Orienteering with Napalm Death and Sawa taps out.

Winner:  Zack Sabre Jr.

Stokely Hathaway says they will show that Catch Point is the best.  When you think about New Orleans Street Fight, that sounds unsafe.  He says he cannot be out here for this match since he is an icon.  

Match Number Three:  New Orleans Street Fight:  The End versus James Drake and Anthony Henry versus Dominic Garrini and Tracy Williams

The match starts while The End makes their way to the ring and Drake with a suicide dive.  Williams with forearms to Henry and then Garrini goes up top and hits a senton onto everyone.  Garrini kicks Drake and then Williams and Garrini attack everyone.  Drake with forearms to Garrini and sends him into a table at ringside.  Drake chops Garrini while Henry is chopped by Williams.  

Williams kicks Drake in the midsection.  Garrini and Drake go into the ring while Williams gets a table from under the ring.  Henry kicks Garrini while Williams sets up the table.  Drake and Henry with kicks.  Williams enters the ring now that his furniture set up job is complete.  Williams with kicks and forearms to Henry.  Garrini tries to clothesline Drake over the top rope while Odinson and Parrow watch from the floor.  Williams sends Henry into the ring post.  Drake with an Irish whip but he misses a chop.  Williams and Garrini take Drake down.  Parrow and Odinson send Garrini to the floor.  Parrow and Odinson work over Williams.  Parrow removes Williams' shirt and Irish whips him.  Garrini hits Odinson with a ladder and then he hits him again.  Parrow runs into the ladder that was handed to Williams.  Williams with a missile drop kick into Drake holding the ladder.

Williams throws the ladder at Henry's leg.  Drennan attacks Williams in the ring.  Drake blocks Drennan and Henry with a round kick to the head and then Drake hits a short arm clothesline.  Herny with a running forearm and Drake with a chop.  Henry with a kick and Drake with a cannonball.  Drake and Henry with chops and forearms to Parrow and Odinson.  Parrow presses Henry and tosses him to Drake who catches him and then Odinson with a drop kick.  Williams hits everyone with chairs. 

Garrini brings a table into the ring and sets it up but Odinson stops Garrini.  Williams tries to hit Parrow with the chair but Parrow blocks it.  Williams tries to power bomb Parrow from the apron and Garrini sends Odinson into Parrow and Williams power bombs Parrow onto the table but it does not breawk.  Garrini and Williams suplex Odinson through the table in the ring and they cover him but Henry breaks up the cover.

They hit a power slam and dominator combination for a near fall.  Drake with a flying boot to Garrini for a near fall.  Henry puts Garrini's feet in the ladder and then Henry and Drake hit the ladder with steel chairs.  Henry with a round kick to the head.  They put Garrini on the turnbuckles and they set for a double superplex.  Williams stops them and he kicks Drake in the had.  Drae with an Irish whip to Williams and Williams with a chop.   Drake is put on the opposite turnbuckle.  Williams goes for a superplex but Odinson and Parrow with double tower of dooms and then they hit SuperCollider on Williams and Henry.

Odinson covers Williams while Parrow covers Henry and they get near falls.  Odinson goes under the ring and they get a new table and set it up in the corner.  Garrini wtih a kick to Parrow and he sets for another kick but Odinson with a POUNCE that sends Garrini through the table.  Williams with forearms and chops to Parrow and Odinson but Parrow with a sit out power bomb for a near fall that is broken up by Henry.  Drake hits Drennan with a chair and then he throws a chair at Odinson and Henry with round kicks to Parrow.  Henry with an assisted cutter and then Drake goes up top and hits a moonsault but Henry stops the cover. 

Henry tells Drake it is time to end it.  Drake drops the ladder on Odinson's back and then Drake gets a chair and Henry goes under the ring.  Drake with chair shots to Odinson and Parrow.  Henry gets another table and Drake puts a table on Parrow's chest.  Drake with a back fist to Odinson and Henry goes up top and hits a double stomp on Odinson and Drake gets the three count.

Winners:  Anthony Henry and James Drake

Match Number Four:  Shine Championship Match:  LuFisto versus Holidead

LuFisto has some words for Holidead while Holidead crawls on the mat.  Holidead with a rollup for a near fall.  Holidead with knees and she gets a near fall.  Holidead with an Irish whip but she misses a Yakuza Kick and gets caught in the ropes.  Holidead is put in the tree of woe and LuFisto with a baseball slide and cannonball.  LuFisto kicks Holidead in the leg.  LuFisto wrings the leg into the ring post.  LuFisto breaks up the count and connects with forearms.  LuFisto with a boot to the head.

LuFisto gets a near fall.  LuFisto with a reverse chin lock.  LuFisto with a forearm but Holidead with a forearm and back elbow.  Holidead with a neck breaker and both women are down.  Holidead with punches and chops and then she licks LuFisto and follows with clotheslines.  Holidead with a side slam for a near fall.  Holidead with a running hip strike for a near fall.  LuFisto with a forearm but Holidead fires back and hits a spinebuster for a near fall.  

Holidead comes into the corner but LuFisto gets up and sends Holidead into the turnbuckles.  LuFisto with a running hip and a running boot into the corner for a near fall.  Holidead and LuFisto exchange slaps.  Holidead with a Samoan drop for a near fall.  Holidead misses a drop kick and LuFisto applies the Trailer Hitch.  Holidead gets to the ropes and forces LuFisto to release the hold.  LuFisto with a waist lock and Holidead escapes.  LuFisto misses a back fist and Holidead with an Air Raid Crash for a near fall.  Holidead pulls LuFisto into the corner and she goes up top.  Holidead misses a leg drop and LuFisto with a forearm followed by a Burning Hammer for the three count.

Winner:  LuFisto

LuFisto says last year she was promised a Red Wedding and she gave a Black Funeral.  She says she is the true Women's Revolution.  On April 27th, she does not care she faces at Shine 50 because she will keep the title until she retires.

Kimber Lee enters the ring and LuFisto turns around to see her.  LuFisto backs away from Kimber Lee and leaves the ring.
