Welcome to PWInsider.com's coverage of TMart Promotions' The Gathering II's live event tonight in Charlotte, NC!

Action Mike Jackson vs. Antonio Alonzo

Jackson received a standing ovation as the well known legend working these shows at the legends weekends.  He’s now 71 years young.

They locked up but Alonzo broke free.  He grabbed a headlock takedown but Jackson turned it into a head scissors and a series of armdrags.  They went back and forth and went nose to nose.  Alsonso took over and slammed him into the buckles.  He went for a moonsault but Jackson avoided and backdropped him over the top to the floor.

Jackson hit a suicide dive, which got a MASSIVE pop.  Alonzo nailed him and worked Jackson over in the ring but was caught with a head scissors takedown.   They locked up and Jackson’s arm was worked over.  He reversed it but was kicked in the gut.  Jackson was chopped hard.  Alonzo went to walk the ropes like Jackson but was taken down.

Jackson nailed a Dragon Screw Legwhip.  They battled back and forth over arm wringers.  Jackson used several deep armdrags and locked on an armbar.    Jackson continued to control him and reverse any attempts at cutting off his momentum.  The crowd chanted, “This is awesome.”

Jackson called for Old School and walked all four sides of the ropes.  He continued to work over the arm but was nailed.  Now Alonzo called for Old School and he attempted to walk the ropes.  He walked two sides and went for a sunset flip off the top.  Jackson kicked out and locked on another armbar.

Jackson nailed a Cactus Clothesline, taking both over the top to the floor.  They battled on the outside.  Alonzo took control when they returned but missed a swanton.  He held Jackson for a long time for a delayed vertical suplex.  He came off the ropes but was intercepted.  Jackson nailed a neckbreaker for the pin.

Your winner, Mike Jackson!

Exactly the right match for the right crowd, who loved every second of the back and forth good vs. evil story.  Jackson is a modern marvel.  I don’t know how he works the way he does, but I think it should be damn appreciated.

Lodi vs. Dustin Bozworth.

The crowd was super into seeing Lodi as he marched around outside with his sign, playing up to them before getting in the ring.  Bosworth gained control and slammed him early.  Lodi was playing cautious before they locked up.  Lodi hit a series of armdrags and a big slam.  Bosworth went to the floor.  Lodi followed and nailed him with a big right hand before tossing him back in and nailing a series of kicks in the corner.

Lodi nailed another slam and a suplex  Bozworth rolled to the floor.  Lodi went to grab him but was nailed.  Bosworth nailed a clothesline for a two count.  Bosworth locked on a side chinlock and kicked Lodi, covering him for a two count.

Lodi made a comeback and caught Bozworth with an overhead throw suplex.  He nailed a fisherman’s suplex for a two count.  Bosworth caught Lodi on his shoulders and nailed a Samoan Drop.  Lodi avoided a charge in the corner and powerslammed him for a two count.

Lodi went for a DDT but Bozworth avoided it.  Lodi reversed it and nailed the DDT for the pin.

Your winner, Lodi!

Back and forth, solid stuff with the crowd into cheering for the babyface, Lodi and booing the heel.

John Skyler vs. Colby Corino.

Skyler has been a staple here in the Carolinas and was just signed by Impact Wrestling.  Corino is the son of former ECW World Champion and current WWE NXT Coach Steve Corino.  The first time I saw Colby Corino, he was an INFANT in 1997, so I feel very old right now.

Skyler attacked Corino at the bell and worked him over.  Corino fired back with chops and showed some damn good fire coming out with a clothesline and a powerslam.   Corino fired away on Skyler with chops.  Skyler fought back but Corino used a pinfall attempt.  Skyler ended up in the ropes half out of the ring so they had to break it up and reconvene.  Skyler was knocked to the floor.  Corino faked out a dive and then nailed one.

Skyler nailed a knee that sent Corino to the floor.  He followed Colby and worked him over, the dumped him back into the ring, where the beatings continued.  Skyler drilled him in the mid-section but Corino came back with a knee strike.  Skyler slammed him with authority and locked on a side chinlock.  Corino fought his way out but Skyler nailed a sunset flip for a two count.

Skyler went for a back suplex but Corino landed on his feet and nailed a kick to the head.  He charged but was turned over into a Lion Tamer.  Corino fought his way out and nailed a nice over the knee backbreaker.  They began battling on the apron outside and teased suplexing the other.  Corino nailed a superkick and teased diving out but Skyler speared him through the ropes into the ring for a two count.

They battled back and forth with strikes and kicks in a believable manner.  Corino used a nice slamming takedown, tying up Skyler and scoring the pin.

Your winner, Colby Corino!

A really well fought match.  Both looked really damn good.

Baby Doll's charge Samantha Star vs. Dark Journey's protege Shalonce Royal.

Samatha Star is Baby Doll and Sam Houston's daughter, so she's a third generation talent.  She cut a promo on Royal for thinking she has the b****s to get in the ring with her.  Royal said she's a first generation wrestler but she doesn't need to use everyone else attached to her to prove why she's in the ring.  She then began singing OPERA.  Well, that was a first.

Star attacked Royal but was nailed with several armdrags, scuttering to the floor.   Baby Doll and Dark Journey argued on the floor.  Star stomped away on Royal and choked her against the ropes.    Baby Doll choked Royal and the referee caught her and began COUNTING?  What was that?   Star  continued to throttle Royal.  Royal used a schoolgirl for a two count.  Baby Doll got caught choking Royal again.  More counting.

Star nailed her with a running hip attack in the corner.  Royal battled back and nailed several clotheslines.  She nailed a handspring elbow.  Star made a comeback.  Baby Doll interfered, so the ref threw her out.  Huge pop.  Star pulled out a foreign object and nailed Royal, scoring the pin.

Your winner, Samatha Star!

A mix of back and forth action and some outside of the ring shenanigans.
