We have a pre-show match! Breezango vs. Killian Dawn and Drake Maverick to determine the number one contender’s to MSK’s Tag Team Titles. Breezango are out first, wearing pirate outfits. Breeze wrestled in the pirate garb. Dain didn’t like it. He threw the hat Breeze was wearing. Drake put the hat on Dain, who got mad and threw Drake in, where get got beaten up for a while. Drake finally made the hot tag and Dain came in on fire. He then tagged Drake, who said he has this. So Dain powerbombed Drake on Fandango to get the win. Afterward, Dain put the pirate hat on a woozy Drake’s head. Fine for what it was.
Cole vs. O’Reilly is going on last.
We are opening with Jordan Devlin vs. Santos Escobar in a Ladder Match to unify the Cruiserweight Title.
Poppy sang to get us going. She was good, and a tad scary in a Scarlett kind of way.
Escobar is out first, followed by the Irish Ace. They are starting out hot. Devlin his an spring moonsault that was in tight to the announce table. Great spot by the Ace. He grabbed the ladder. Escobar slid into him which usually means OUCH. But Ace smartly moved it and Escobar missed everything. I like it. Escobar did get control though so we continue.
I don’t know if Jordan will be survive that bump he took into the ladder, down to the floor though. Damn. The double knees into the cage/plexiglass didn’t make him feel any better.
Another cool spot. Escobar was climbing and saw Devlin so rather than get pushed off, he wiped the Ace out. Escobar just dropkicked the ladder into Ace’s gut. Time for another ladder.
Escobar thought he had control and Devlin bounced up the ladder. Escobar came so rather than get knocked down, Ace jumped into a stuff DDT. He got tossed to the floor though and Escobar did a tope suicida that drove Escobar into a ladder and the barrier. Ouch. Speaking of ouch, that describes the backdrop Escobar took on a ladder.
Now they are throwing hands. Cool escapes/move dodging by both guys.
Devlin just did a SICK moonsault off of the top of a BIG ladder. Holy crap, he hit it perfectly.
Ace was going up when, predictably, Legado came out and pushed him off the ladder, to the floor. Then they beat him up. It’s legal of course. Santos is happy about what his boys did. They left though. They probably should have stayed as Escobar went up of the belts, but Devlin made his own save with a ladder. They are on separate ladders and fighting under the belts. What goes up, must go down and Ace made sure they both did with a Spanish Fly. Good Lord. The fans are chanting this awesome, it is. Devlin has some blood on his shoulder. Devlin was almost there when Santos came up to fight. Legado should have stayed. Or not, head butt from Santos drives Ace to the corner and broke the damn ladder. Santos grabbed the Titles and he is your Cruiserweight champ. This should not be over since Legado helped him.
Great match!
MSK are happy. They are ready to fight Dain and Drake. They are split on who will win the two main events.
Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart defending the Tag Titles against The Way is up next. They worked over Shotzi early on in the match.
Ember came in took over. For some reason she did a DX crotch chop. They did a big four women suplex spot. Bodies are flying. Indi is looking really good here, her character has grown to where she can show what she can do.
You know how I always say that Shotzi does something where she almost kills herself? Well she just missed a tope on the floor. Badly. She is lucky. Ember took out both of the Way when she cannonballed off of the top. They tried to pin Candice but she kicked out. Indy had Shotzi but Ember made the save. Ember nailed Candice and she looked like she got rubber legged. I hope she is OK. Shotzi hit the senton from the top to pin Indi. It’s a bummer that Candice never gets the gold. She deserves it. She looks OK on the floor, which is good. Solid match, a little too spotty at time for my tastes but it was all action.
Johnny Gargano is putting North American Title on the line against Bronson Reed.
