NEW ROH TV CHAMPION CROWNED: COMPLETE ROH/NEW JAPAN 'HONOR RISING' NIGHT ONE COVERAGE FROM TOKYO, JAPAN

By Mike Johnson on 2016-02-19 07:13:00

Tomoaki Honma & Hiroshi Tanahashi & Moose & Michael Elgin vs. The Bullet Club's Cody Hall & Yujiro Takahashi & Tama Tonga & Bad Luck Fale.

Due to rights issues with his music, Moose's entrance was completely silent, creating this pretty funny scene where he was doing his 'MOOSE' deal to no audio on our end.

Moose and Bad Luck Fale started out, with the two big bulls testing each other.  This set up Moose nailing that insanely high dropkick to a big reaction.  Fale kneed him in the gut to cut him off and tagged in Tonga just as Honma hit the ring.  Tama nailed a big dropkick and a pretty damn cool splash in the corner.  Honma came back with a killer clothesline but missed with a diving headbutt attack off the ropes.

Tanahashi tagged in to a big reaction.  He and Honma worked over Tonga.   The Bullet Club swarmed them and everyone began brawling.  Team Hiroshi ran everyone off to the outside and all posed together.  Tanahashi caught Tonga returning to the ring with a kick and nailed a series of rights.  He whipped Tonga, who reversed it and Takahashi caught him with a knee from the outside as he rebounded off the ropes.  Tanahashi went to the floor, where he was nailed with a chair and then choked with one.

Cody Hall tagged in and continued working over Tanahashi's arm.  He drove him to the mat with some clubbing blows for a two count.  Tonga tagged back in and continued working over Tanahashi, before catching him unaware with a dropkick from behind.  Takahashi tagged in but Tanahashi avoided a big boot, nailing a Dragon Screw Legwhip.

Elgin tagged in and got a big reaction hitting a flying shoulderblock off the ropes.  He killed Takahashi with a big German suplex and pressed Tonga overhead with one hand before slamming him.  Elgin showed his strength by reversing a double suplex attempt by Hall and Takahashi.  He nailed a German suplex with a bridge on Takahashi for a two count.

Elgin went for another German and Takahashi grabbed the referee, Tiger Hatori.  Elgin lifted them both  Hatori dropped to the mat and rolled away, allowing for Elgin to be the receipient of a low blow.  Hall and Moose tagged in and they went back and forth.  Moose was actually caught with a Samoan Drop.  He came back and went for a tackle in the corner but was caught and brought up for an attempted Razor's Edge.  It didn't come together and Moose dropped to his feet.  They battled back and forth until Fale caught Moose with a big running splash in the corner.  Hall nailed a chokeslam but Moose kicked up before the three count.

It all broke down  at this point with all sorts of crazy spots.  Elgin pressed and dropped Tanahashi onto the Bullet Club outside. Moose finally scored the pin with his tackle on Hall.

Your winners, Tomoaki Honma & Hiroshi Tanahashi & Moose & Michael Elgin!

Really fun match with a mix of big spots to showcase everyone, some great wrestling and some really good, aggressive heel tactics from The Bullet Club.  Hall and Moose's interactions were great.  Tonga looked great.

Katsuyori Shibata & ReDragon vs. The Young Bucks & Kenny Omega.

Omega and The Bucks came out wearing matching shirts that read "The Elite."  Sounds familiar. Everyone brawled.  ReDragon caught the Bucks in stereo submission holds.  Omega broke it up but was caught in one by Shibata.  He powered up and dropped Shibata onto one of ReDragon.

Omega and The Bucks began really taking it to their opponents.  Bucks nailed stereo topes to the outside.  Good stuff early on.   Omega hit a big tope con hilo tol the outside on everyone.    Shibata and Omega went back and forth with Shibata working him over well.  The Bucks tried to intercede but were unable to.  They nailed him with a double superkick.  Omega joined in and they drilled him with a triple superkick.

Omega and Shibata went back and forth.  Shibata nailed him with a big dropkick.  Kyle O'Reilly tagged in and worked over both of the Bucks.  He cleaned house with all sorts of fast offense until Omega prevented a tornado DDT out of the corner and sent crashing down rudely to the mat.

Bobby Fish entered the fray and went back and forth at lightspeed with the Bucks.  O'Reilly returned with a double clothesline.  Omega went for the Electric Chair but O'Reilly caught him with a forward choke.  Matt Jackson sprayed his eyes while the referee was distracted to break the hold.

Omega finally caught O'Reilly with The One Winged Angel and scored the pin.

Your winners, The Young Bucks & Kenny Omega!

Briscoes vs. Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson

Lots of brawling early.  Mark Briscoe did the Cactus elbow off the apron and got a "ROH" chant for it.   Mark worked over Anderson in the corner with chops and strikes.  He went for Redneck Kung Fu but Anderson caught him and flipped over.  Briscoe landed on his feet and nailed the attack.  Jay and Mark tagged in and out working over Anderson, claiming several near falls.

Doc Gallows tripped Briscoe and allowed Karl to attack Mark.  The Bullet Club gained control until Jay came back with a big boot on Gallows.  Briscoe was cut off.  Anderson tagged in and The Bullet Club nailed a double team neckbreaker suplex variation.  They went to double team Jay and finish him off but Mark returned to the fray.

Jay went for the Jay-Driller on Anderson.  Gallows got involved but Mark nailed a missile dropkick.  Jay nailed a neckbreaker.  Mark came off the top with a flying elbow and that was it.

Your winners, The Briscoes!

OK match.
