So, life got in the way the last few weekends, so we're catching up on WWE's Lucha Libre AAA today with reports the first several weeks of Heroes Inmortales on 10/24 and 10/31!
Saturday 10/24 - Week One!
AAA is live in Mexico City.
AAA Trios Champions Los Perros del Mal vs. Nino Hamburguesa & La Parka & Mr. Iguana
Los Perros are defending the titles, but the challengers jump them before the opening bell, looking to get an early advantage. The referee keeps calling for the bell, but it never comes, and eventually he just shrugs and lets the action continue. With the match effectively underway, Hamburguesa hits an early splash and blows a kiss to Karmen Petrovic. The challengers get a brief moment of offense, but Iguana soon finds himself isolated in the wrong corner. Daga stomps him down and sends him to the floor, where Angel and Berto take advantage with some cheap shots. The other Perros pull Hamburguesa and Parka off the apron, leaving Iguana without anyone to tag. He eventually fights his way free, though, and makes the tag a few seconds later. Parka comes in and cleans house. Chaos! Hamburguesa goes after Petrovic, allowing the other Perros to gang up on him. Parka makes the save with a dive, but Daga catches him with a low blow and scores pin.
Your winners and still Champions, Los Perros del Mal!
Solid. The crowd was super into all of this.
The Champs continue the beating when Big Mami hits the ring and wipes out Petrovic to a BIG pop.
AAA Reinas de Reinas Champion La Caralina vs. La Hiedra vs. Flammer
Lady Maravilla is at ringside with Flammer and La Hiedra. Flammer and Hiedra initially face off, but both swing at Catalina, who avoids them and dances around. Maravilla trips Catalina from the outside, allowing the two challengers to take advantage. Catalina is dropped and stretched out before Flammer and Hiedra pull her legs apart around the ringpost. Catalina eventually fights back, sending both women into the corners before hitting headscissors to take them over. Flammer is sent to the floor, and Catalina suplexes Hiedra before heading up top. Flammer cuts her off, however, and Hiedra pulls Catalina down from the turnbuckle, allowing Flammer to hit a Meteora. Hiedra then hoists Catalina onto her shoulders, setting her up for a Flammer crossbody. Catalina is slapped around in the corner as the challengers continue working together.
Catalina manages to turn things around, sending Hiedra into a boot before knocking Flammer to the floor. Hiedra follows her outside, but Catalina heads to the top and takes both women out with a crossbody to the floor. Back inside, Hiedra misses a charge in the corner and gets her head driven into the turnbuckle. Catalina follows with a crossbody for two, then hits a bulldog on Hiedra. She stacks Flammer on top of Hiedra with a Gory Bomb, but only gets two. Catalina covers Hiedra as well, but still can't put her away. Catalina turns her attention to Flammer, trading strikes with her while Hiedra is knocked to the floor. Flammer catches Catalina with a basement dropkick, but Hiedra breaks up the cover and tries to steal the pin for herself. The two challengers start jawing at each other on the outside. More tension between them. Flammer misses a charge in the corner, and Maravilla hands Hiedra the Reina de Reinas Championship belt. Hiedra nearly catches Flammer with it, but Catalina takes advantage of the confusion, hitting a running knee on Flammer for the three-count.
Your winner and still Champion, La Catalina!
They announce Mini Vikingo needs surgery, so there will be an open challenge for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship held by Dragon Lee next week.
AAA Mega Champion El Grande Americano vs. Dominik Mysterio
After the ring introductions, Dorian Roldan nailed Americano with a chair, allowing Mysterio to hit a quick 619 for an early two count. Americano fired back with some right hands, but Mysterio quickly knocked him back down. A discus lariat finally gives Americano some momentum, and he followed up with more punches. Omos comes out and distracts the champions. Americano is knocked to the floor, where is worked over. Americano fires back but is caught with a DDT on the apron. Mysterio went for a frog splash but Americano pulled his knees up. Omos gets involved and hits Pimpinela Escarlata. Americano nailed a big dive to the outside. He nails several diving headbutts and covers Dom but Omos pulled the referee out of the ring. Rey Mysterio arrived to hit Omos with a 619 and hit him with several chairshots. Americano nailed another headbutt and scored the pin.
Your winner and still Champion, El Grande Americano!
