Cena is shown as a talking head on a news show discussing Superman following a dramatic turn in the plot.
Cena is not involved in any action or fight scenes, but the events of Superman will dovetail into the story for the second season of Cena's Peacemaker HBO MAX series in its second season. That premieres in August.
Before anyone asks, no, The Rock does not reprise his role of Black Adam. That take on the character will be gently forgotten, at least for now, as DC Studios launches their new interconnected universe of series and movies with Superman and the HBO Max animated series Creature Commandos (which is now streaming on HBO Max)
