TNA World Tag Team Champions The Nemeths vs. Matt Hardy and Leon Slater
Nic Nemeth and Matt Hardy start things off with a lock up. Hardy grabs a side headlock and cranks it. Nic grabs Hardy’s hair and sends him to the ropes. Hardy hits a tackle and takes Nic over in a side headlock. Nic is able to stand out of it and hit a belly-to-back suplex. Hardy reapplies the side headlock, though, and tags in Leon Slater. Slater grabs a side headlock and then uses the ropes to take Nic over. Nic punches out of it and Ryan Nemeth runs in to get some shots in. Hardy comes in to help Slater. The Nemeths are sent to the floor.
Ryan tries to get into the ring as the legal man, but the referee reminds him that he’s not. Nic gets into the ring and Slater rushes at him. Nic is able to tag in his brother, though. Ryan comes in and Slater grabs his arm. Slater brings Ryan over to Hardy. Hardy tags in and hits an elbow to the arm off of the second rope. Hardy cranks at Ryan’s arm and tags in Slater. Slater and Hardy hit a double back elbow. Slater hits a splash for a two count.
Slater hits a big chop on Ryan and then hits another chop in the corner. Slater hits a running dropkick in the corner for a two count. Ryan sends Slater to the ropes and distracts the referee. Slater goes for a handspring move, but Nic cuts him off. Slater goes to the floor and is laid out by Nic. Ryan goes to the floor and rolls Slater back into the ring. Ryan gets a one count and slaps on a front facelock. Nic tags in and works Slater over in the corner.
Nic drags Slater’s face over the top rope and then snapmares him over. Nic slaps on a chinlock/choke. Slater punches out of it, but Nic drags him down by the hair. Ryan tags in and hits a running knee in the corner. Nic tags back in and hits a neckbreaker. Nic holds Slater’s legs apart and then hits a leg drop between them. Slater tries to fight back, but Nic takes out his leg. Ryan tags in and takes a shot at Slater's gut. Nic tags in and takes a shot at Slater’s ribs.
Slater blocks a punch and hits some of his own. Slater knocks Ryan off of the apron and goes for a tag. Nic cuts him off, but Slater hits a kick and leaps for a tag. Ryan pulls Hardy off of the apron, though, just in time. Slater is dragged back across the ring, but he fights off The Nemeths. Ryan hits a DDT for a two count. Ryan goes for another DDT, but Slater slips out and hits a handspring back elbow. Nic tags in. Hardy tags in.
Hardy comes in hot and drops Nic twice. Hardy sends Nic to the corner and then DELETES him on the turnbuckles. Hardy slingshots Nic into the second rope and then DELETES Ryan on the turnbuckles. Hardy hits a Side Effect on Nic. He hits another Side Effect on Ryan. Hardy hits another Side Effect on Nic for a two count. Hardy calls for the Twist of Fate and sets up for it. Nic pushes out of it and Hardy knocks Ryan off of the apron. Nic hits the Fame-Asser on Hardy for a two count. The Nemeths hit a double team neckbreaker for a two count. Slater breaks up the pin.
Slater sends Ryan to the floor and hits a slingshot dive. Hardy rolls Nic up for a two count. Nemeth hits a Twist of Fate on Hardy for a two count. Nic goes for a superkick, but Hardy catches it. Slater hits Nic with a leg lariat. Slater hits a Twist of Slate into Hardy’s Plot Twist for a two count. Slater and Hardy set up for Poetry in Motion, but Ryan pulls Nic out of the way. Slater hits Poetry in Motion over the ring post onto The Nemeths.
Slater rolls Nic into the ring. Hardy hits Twist of Fate on Nic. Slater climbs to the top rope and hits a Swanton 450. Hardy makes the pin, but Ryan pulls him to the outside and slams his head against the apron. Slater leaps to the outside to help Hardy, but Ryan sends him into the steel steps. Hardy tries to get back into the ring, but Ryan grabs his leg. Nic hits Hardy with a superkick and Danger Zone for the win!
Winners and STILL TNA World Tag Team Champions: The Nemeths
A TNA Slammiversary commercial airs.
Santino Marella is in the back with Arianna Grace. Marella says that Grace did well. Grace hates that she lost to the dirty Tessa Blanchard. Marella is frustrated that Robert Stone put his hands on him. Marella wants to make a match between himself and Stone. Grace suggests Stone and Blanchard vs. Marella and Grace. Marella loves the idea!
Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt talk about Steve Maclin and Matt Cardona facing off for the TNA International Championship on Thursday at iMPACT! Maclin should be cleared to wrestle by then.
A video package airs that recaps the issues between Joe Hendry and Trick Williams.
TNA World Champion Joe Hendry and Elijah vs. NXT’s Trick Williams and Frankie Kazarian
Elijah and Trick Williams face off while Frankie Kazarian and Joe Hendry do the same. Williams moves Kazarian out of the way to stare Hendry down. The referee separates the two teams and Kazarian starts things off with Elijah. They lock up and Kazarian quickly takes Elijah over. They lock up again and Kazarian grabs an arm. Kazarian cranks it, but Elijah uses the ropes to flip into a reversal. Elijah hits Kazarian in the gut and then uses the ropes to hit a clothesline. Elijah uses the ropes again to club down on Kazarian. Elijah tags in Hendry, who wants Williams. Williams asks for the tag, but Kazarian doesn’t oblige.
Kazarian hits Hendry and then goes to the ropes. Hendry hits a hip toss and tags in Elijah. Elijah and Hendry hit a double back elbow for a two count. Elijah goes for a belly-to-back suplex, but Kazarian lands on his feet and tags in Williams. Williams kicks Elijah in the gut and then clubs down on him. Williams is sent to the ropes, but drags Elijah down. Williams hits the ropes, but reverses Elijah into the ropes. Elijah hits a tackle, but Williams kips up. Elijah hits a clothesline and then chops Williams in the corner. Williams then ducks some strikes and hits a couple of his own. Elijah strikes back and then hits a chop in the corner. Williams reverses an Irish Whip and catches Elijah in the corner. Elijah wiggles out and tags in Hendry. Kazarian tags himself in, so Hendry tags in Elijah.
Williams tags himself back in and has words with Kazarian. Elijah hits Williams from behind, which sends Kazarian to the floor. Elijah sends Williams out, as well, and goes to the apron. Elijah hits a dive from the apron. Hendry jumps over the top rope onto Kazarian and Williams.
Kazarian starts to walk up the ramp and Williams confronts him. Elijah and Hendry go after their opponents and send them into the crowd. Hendry and Elijah follow them into the fans. Hendry goes after Kazarian and slams him. Elijah sends Williams into the barricade. Williams and Kazarian are sent back to ringside and then are rolled into the ring. Elijah hits Walk with Elijah (all four sides of the ring) on Williams as Hendry hits a delayed suplex on Kazarian.
Elijah hits the ropes, but Kazarian trips him up. Williams hits a Trick Kick on Elijah and then stomps down on him. Williams sends Elijah to the ropes. Williams lifts up Elijah and plants him down on the mat. Williams grabs a front facelock and tags in Kazarian. Kazarian works Elijah over and then mocks Hendry’s spin. Williams tags back in as Elijah tries to fight back. Williams hits Elijah from behind and then knocks Hendry off of the apron.
Elijah tries to fight back, but Williams hits a leg lariat for a two count. Williams slaps on a chinlock and tags in Kazarian. Kazarian slaps on a front facelock. Elijah tries to drive Frankie to the corner. Hendry makes the tag, but Williams had the referee distracted. The referee tries to get Hendry back on the apron as Elijah is double teamed. Kazarian sends Elijah to the corner. Elijah hits a back elbow and a powerbomb. Williams tags in. Hendry tags in.
Hendry comes in hot and clotheslines Williams twice. Hendry hits a fallaway slam and kips up. Hendry ducks under Kazarian and hits a fallaway slam on him, as well. Hendry kips up and spins to face the camera. Hendry sets up for the Standing Ovation on Williams. Williams slips out. Hendry ducks a Trick Kick and hits an Olympic Slam for a two count.
Hendry lifts up Williams, but Trick slips out. Williams hits a standing uranage for a two count. Williams climbs to the second rope and goes for a flying crossbody. Hendry catches Williams and rolls through. Hendry lifts Williams up and goes for the AA. Williams seemed to get a partial counter in. Kazarian tags in and hits a springboard leg drop. Kazarian goes for the chicken wing, but Hendry fights out of it and goes for an Olympic Slam. Kazarian slips out, but Hendry hits the AA for a two count.
Elijah tags in and goes for the Highwayman’s Farewell, but Kazarian wiggles out. Williams tags in. Elijah sends him to the corner and follows him in. Elijah eats a boot and Williams climbs to the second rope. Williams jumps off and eats a knee. Williams slams Elijah and then hits the Trick Shot. Hendry breaks up the pin.
Kazarian goes to the floor with Hendry. Kazarian drives Hendry into the side of the ring and then grabs Elijah’s guitar. Kazarian tags in and brings the guitar into the ring. The referee tries to grab the guitar, but can’t. Elijah ducks the guitar shot and hits the Highwayman’s Farewell. Williams breaks up the pin. Williams picks up the guitar and fights over it with the referee while Elijah rolls up Kazarian. The referee finally sees the roll up and Kazarian kicks out. Williams goes for the Trick Shot on Elijah, but misses and hits Elijah. Williams is sent to the floor. Hendry tags in and hits the Standing Ovation on Kazarian for the win!
Winners: Joe Hendry and Elijah
After the match, Joe Hendry and Trick Williams come face-to-face. Joe Hendry lifts up the TNA World Title and has words for Williams. The referee separates them as the show fades to black.
