We are back and John Cena makes his way to the ring.
John has the ring announcer come to the ring to read the proper introduction for John.
While the introduction is read, someone throws a bottle at John and it hits him.
John says tomorrow your childhood dies. The reason you are reduced to throwing empty bottles of beer is because everyone one of you knows how important Backlash is. You’ll do everything you can, just like Randy Orton. Which is why Randy is not here tonight. Don’t boo. He’s smart. He took John’s advice and he is home with his family in St. Louis. He is preparing for the biggest moment of his career.
His first match with Randy Orton was almost 25 years ago. They have shared over 100 appearances. There are 31 championships between them. They are about Ruthless Aggression. If you are between 17 and 55, you choose either John Cena or Randy Orton. That is what is at stake tomorrow.
Tomorrow is their final match. You only get to choose one more time. Tomorrow, your childhood dies. If you are a fan between 3 and 11, your childhood will die. He will prove three things. Life isn’t fair, the winners write the history books, and Randy Orton is a liar.
Randy has been lying to himself the most. He says hustle, loyalty, respect. Randy only has this job because of his family. He has never been held accountable for any of his failures or having to do any hard work. Randy is the greatest of all time at wasting his potential. John says he is the greatest of all time because he is hustle.
Loyalty. Randy thinks that working a job a lot of days in a row is loyalty. That is cashing a check. Randy says he is a lifer in WWE and a piece of furniture. He is a La-z-Boy. Loyalty is being something you can rely on. After twenty five years of injury and coasting, you can’t count on Randy for anything. Randy is the greatest of all time doing the bare minimum. He is the greatest because of loaylty.
Respect, you show him none. Randy wants to beg for your respect. He has to remind you of being a third generation star. No one remembers Bob Orton Sr. Bob Orton Jr. is only famous for knocking up his wife. Randy lives off his coattails. Randy removes names of legends who are barely remembered. Randy Orton kills the legend of Randy Orton tomorrow night. Randy will be just like his 2006 drug test . . . a failure. Randy is the greatest of all time of being a mockery of a superstar. John says he is the greatest of all time because he is respect.
Tomorrow is a historic moment for WWE. He makes history and this is what the last real champion looks like.
A hooded man comes into the ring and Cena with an Attitude Adjustment.
Cena holds up the title again and then the real Randy Orton shows up and he hits an RKO.
We go to credits.
