John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship.
There IS A LOT OF TIME left for this one.
Cena was completely vooed out of the building. It was like Hammerstein Ballrtoom vs. RVD times 10 million.
Cody had stunt bikers and a cool American Nightmare mask for his entrance.
EVERYONE sang and they blew a lot of crap up! Really impressive sight looking down from up here.
Brandi and Liberty Rhodes as well as Mama Rhodes sitting in the front row.
There were a lot of boos for Cody.
They rang the bell.
Lots of posturing to try to build the moment.
They finally locked up and Cena used the ropes.
The crowd is chanting for Cena, you know, the guy who said he wanted to ruin wrestling for them.
Cody took Cena to the mat. He escaped but ate a dropkck. Cena went to floor so Cody hit a dive.
Cena took over in the ring and hit a boot to the face. They began slugging it out.
Back and forth chants.
Cody was whipped into the buckles and ducked under the ropes. Cena drilled him to the floor and controlled him in the ring, punch after kick after punch.
Cena cinched in a chinlock. Cody fought back. Cena nailed him with an axehandle off the ropes. He nailed another. On the third timeCody nailed him and got BOOED FOR IT. What the hell?
Cena got cheered when he took Cody back down again.
Cena began nailing shoulderblocks, so we are the infamous five moves of doom. Cody nailed him when Cena went for the Five Knuckle Shuffle and came alive with offense, including the Disaster Kick. He nailed the Codykick for a near fall. He went for some clubbering but Cena took him down and nailed the AA for a two count. Cena nailed the Five Knuckle Shuffle but Cody came back to life. He went to the top but was crotched by Cena.
Cena nailed an AA off the top for a close two count. Cody caught him coming off the ropes and nailed a powerbomb. He nailed a Codycutter for another two count. Cena cut him off and locked in the STF. Cody tried to fight out but was pulled to the center. He fought and pulled his way to the ropes but was again pulled back. Cody shoved Cena awau and the referee was taken out. Cody nailed CrossRhodes but there was no referee.
Cena sent Cody into an exposed turnbuckles and hit the AA. He covered Cody but Cody got his shoulder up at the last second.
Travis Scott came lout with theme music and carrying his own title belt and a Titantron video. He took a LONG TIME to walk to the ring. He raised Cena's hand. Cena held Cody for Travis to fit but Ciody broke free and went to hit Scott. Cody hit ChrossRhodes but the referee was pulled out by Scott. Scott got in the ring for the ESPN Moment,.facing off with Cody, who hit him with ChrossRhodes. Cena came up from behind with the title belt. They fought over it. Cody got the belt. Cena begged off but lowblowed him with a kick. Cena grabbed the belt and smashed Cody.
Cena called for the revived referee and pinned Cody in the middle of the ring.
Your new WWE Champion John Cena,
I hope they know what they are doing, because they just pulled the pin on the Cody grenade.
Cena held up the belt and the place went nuts, some cheering and booing. Travis Scott joined him. No Rock.
Cena held up the title. PYRO galore.
It was a spectacle.
Cena and Scott stood tall to close the show as they went off the air.
Cena stood in the ring taking it all in. Scott left up the aisle.
This means Cena broke the "Ric Flair Record" with 17 recognized wins, although in reality, Flair had more than 17.
Cena wrapped the title around his waist. The crowd chanted Thank you Cena and "You Deserve it."
Cena smiled as he walked up the aisle and got a massive ovation.
Bizarro world is back?
Does this mean the spinner belt is back soon?
