A very tame Washington crowd has FINALLY come to life. Moxley with elbows to Danielson’s neck. He shoves Nigel. Hmmm…Shafir with some shots of her own. Anvil elbow by Moxley. Head kicks by Moxley. Punches by Moxley in the corner, followed by chops. Danielson chops back. Elbows and kicks by Moxley. Shafir mocks Danielson. Neckbreaker by Moxley. Shafir with more interference. Finger snap by Moxley. Shafir rips the padding out from the floor.
Danielson with a backdrop on the floor. Moxley with a fingernail scratch and he bites Danielson’s back. Danielson returns the favor and hangs Mox in the Tree of Woe. Yes kicks by Danielson. German suplex by Danielson. Danielson misses a headbutt and Moxley stomps him for 2. Bulldog choke by Moxley. Danielson escapes and nails a piledriver.
They go face to face. They trade punches and forearms. Uppercuts by Danielson. More Yes kicks by the champion. Shafir interferes and gets ejected. German by Moxley but a quick Busiaku knee by Danielson. Danielson kicks Moxleys head in. Labelle Lock by Danielson. Moxley makes the ropes. Danielson tries a dive to the floor but a Death Rider by Moxley. Moxley scores a 2. Anvil elbows by Moxley. Choke by Moxley. Danielson climbs the ropes and falls back.
They trade kicks. LeBell Lock by Danielson. Triangle choke by Danielson but Moxley floats over. Busaiku knee by Danielson. Lariat by Moxley. DEath Rider for 2 by Moxley. Death Rider and Danielson kicks out at 1. Slaps by Danielson. Gotch piledriver by Moxley. Choke by Moxley. Danielson fades. It’s over.
WINNER AND NEW AEW WORLD CHAMPION JON MOXLEY
The remnants of the Blackpool Combat Club come out to celebrate. Shafir hands a plastic bag to Moxley. Wheeler Yuta and Darby Allin chase them off. Yuta with a knee to Darby . They tie Darby to the corner. Yuta puts the bag over Danielson’s head. The locker room tries to help. Claudio Pillmanizes Danielson’s head and neck. The rest of the locker room comes out and Moxley and company scurry away. EMT’s tend to Danielson. Excalibur is really laying on the emotion. This a very somber scene as we go off the air
