Special Singles Match: Midnight Player vs. Stray Cat

They had Stray Cat come out from one of the corners of the building, down a staircase, because she was a cat slinking around.  The crowd chanted "Meow" at her.

Player had the early advantage but Stray Cat kept escaping.  All I want to do is make Heathcliff references but I will prevent myself.  Player ripped at her mask and eyes  but Cat killed her with a hard kick to the mid-section as she rebounded off the ropes.  Cat wailed away on Player in the corner.   She drilled her with a roundhouse kick to the back and scored a two count.

Player came back and attacked her back and shoulders, working Cat over in a submission.  Player drilled her hard with a chop across the chest.  Cat came back with a hard forearm across the chest.    They fired away at each other, with Player getting the better of Cat.  The crowd chanted Meow, allowing Cat to make a bit of a comeback.  They exchanged strikes but Car started to get the better with a series of karate style hits, scoring a two count.  Player came back and booted Cat out of the ring to the floor.

Cat returned to the ring, where Player pounced on her, scoring a near fall.  Cat came back with several kicks, almost scoring the pin.  They battled until Cat spun over Player and cinched in an anklelock.  Player fought her way out and nailed an inverted DDT but was too spent to capitalize.  The referee began counting them down as the crowd rallied their favorite, the Stray Cat.  Player nailed a Slingblade but Cat kicked out at the last second.

Player rebounded off the ropes but was caught with a spinkick to the side of the head and was almost pinned.  Cat measured and drilled Player with a running kick to the head and scored the pin.

Your winner, Stray Cat!

They showed each other respect after the match.

A truly entertaining bout.  They worked really hard.

Harajuku Stars - Maya Mamushi & Babyface vs. Dangerous Liaisons - Commander Nakajima & Lady Antoinette

They started fighting in the ring with the Stars whipped into each other but reversing it.  Babyface nailed a bulldog on Lady A.  Lady A and Nakajima sent Mamushi to the floor and doubleteamed Babyface, stomping away on her and choking her against the ropes. Nakajima sunk in a chinlock but was choking her.  She scored several near falls before tagging in Lady A.    A antagonized Manushi, so when she tried to hit the ring, the referee admonished her.  This allowed Lady A to smack Babyface with a chain.

Lady A went for a head scissors but Babyface reversed it and made the tag.  Mamushi came off with a bodypress but was immediately attacked by Nakajima and beaten in the corner.    Mamushi made a comeback and drilled Lady A with hard kicks and forearms.  She charged but the ref was pulled in front, allowing Nakajima to attack her from behind.  Lady A choked and attacked, nailing a spinning slam for a two count.  Nakanishi cut her off with a stomp to the stomach and kicked kicking away at her.    She charged and nailed a boot to the face as Mamushi was caught on the ropes.

She finally missed and Mamushi made the comeback, or so it would seem, as A tripped her.  Babyface had enough and attacked Nakanishi after Mamushi was pulled from the ring.    She snapped an armbar on Nakajima.  They battled to their feet where Nakajima nailed Babyface and went for the pin but Mamushi returned and broke it up.  Nakajima hit a missile dropkick on Babyface off the top but again it was broken up.    Lady A attacked Mamushi and choked her in the ropes.  This allowed Nakajima to scored the pinfall with a fallaway slam into a bridge on Babyface.

Your winners, Dangerous Liaisons - Commander Nakajima & Lady Antoinette!

A really nice back and forth tag bout that told a story and got the heels over.

Out came Bull Nakano, who was never officially announced although we had reported she would be here.    She was in full makeup and hair and came out with the Sukeban Championship belt, which was being revealed for the first time ever.  She called for the mic and said hello to NYC and announced she was the Commisioner of Sukeban.  it was her honor to present the World Championship and held up the title.

Main Event Title Eliminator: Countess Saori vs. Ichigo Sayaka

The winner will compete for the Sukeban World title at their next event.  The date and location for that has not be announced.

They both played to the crowd, which allowed Countess to attack Sayaka from behind.  She attacked and ripped at Sayaka, working her over in the corner and driving a knee into her back while poised against the ropes.  Ichigo went to the floor, where Countess followed and worked her over around ringside.  Countess dragged her by the hair and slammed her into the ring steps.  Ichigo was out on the floor but made her way back to the ring where she just beat the countout but was immediately kicked in the head and flung across the ring by Countess.

Ichigo finally fired back and covered Countess, who slipped out at one and kicked her down, then began wearing down Ichigo's knees.  She locked on a figure four in the center of the ring.  The crowd clapped to rally Ichigo.  Ichigo finally made it to the ropes.  Ichigo fought back and charged with an elbow in the corner.   She nailed a big legdrop for the pin.   She locked on a Gory Guerrero Especial, trying to force a submission.  Countess escaped  and rolled to the corner.  Ichigo screamed and charged, but Countess escaped and nailed a dropkick to the knee.

Countess went for a suplex but Ichigo blocked it.  She nailed a forearm across the chest.    They battled back and forth with near falls.  Lots of damn good wrestling here.    Countess went back to the figure four but Ichigo again made it to the ropes.   Countess attempted another but was kicked off.  They kept going back and forth until Ichigo seemingly scored the pin but Countess kicked out at the last second.  The crowd was confused but they battled onward.  Countess nailed a dragon screw legwhip.  Ichigo scored the pinfall with a small package.

Your winner, Ichigo Sayaka!

With the exception of the 10 seconds where the referee accidentally counted three and called for the bell, this was really entertaining and good.

Commander Nakajima confronted Ichigo and attacked her.  The locker rooms spilled out and brawled.  Bull Nakano demanded they stop and announced they would face off at the next event.

The show ran 90 minutes bell to bell and was one of the most professional first shows I've ever seen.  They ran a tight ship and the audience loved it.
