WWE NXT REPORT: THE WAR GAMES TEAMS ARE SET, NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH, MSK HAVE THE NEED . . . THE NEED FOR NOT SO MUCH SPEED, AND MORE

We are back with Tony D'Angelo and he is going to talk about the North American Championship match.  Tony says people are betting on Gargano and Dunne.  D'Angelo says his money is on Hayes.  He asks McKenzie if she wants to make a bet.  He says that Petey has no chance.  He tells McKenzie to call his guy and place her bet.

Match Number Four:  Mandy Rose versus Cora Jade in a Non Title Match

They lock up and Mandy sends Cora to the mat.  Jade with forearms but Rose with a knee and she tries for a hip toss but Jade blocks it and gets a near fall with a rollup.  Jade with an enzuigiri.  Jade with a knee in the corner but Mandy with a spinebuster for a near fall.  Mandy with forearms in the corner.  Mandy with a suplex and she gets a near fall.  Mandy with a chin bar.  Mandy with a body scissors and she adds a rear chin lock.  Cora with a rollup for a near fall.  Jade with a clothesline and back elbow followed by a head scissors take down.  Cora with a running knee into the corner followed by a snap mare for a near fall.  Jade goes to the turnbuckles and misses a leg drop when Mandy moves.

Mandy sees Kay Lee Ray walk to the ring with a baseball bat and Mandy gets distracted.  Mandy with a knee and Ray takes a swing at the ring post and ringside table.  Kay Lee tosses the bat to the referee and Jade with a rollup for the three count.

Winner:  Cora Jade

Trick Williams says the disrespect stops tonight.  Carmelo says it should have stopped last week.  He says he is the A Champion and leader of the new school.  Gargano says he has been here for five years and that is supposed to be a good thing?  I have been here five months.  Pete says he has the experience but you will fall.  You chase Melo because I don't chase you.  Tonight, I won't miss.

Joe Gacy says no fear because a connection needs two people.  I am the provider and I will bring a new sense of belonging.  Let me open the eyes of the blind.  

We go to commercial.

We are back and Cora is with her team and they ask if they knew that Kay Lee Ray was coming out.  Kay Lee Ray shows up and she says she is their fourth and she will be in the "Who Gets the Advantage Ladder Match".

Match Number Five:  Joe Gacy versus LA Knight

Grayson Waller attacks Knight from behind as Knight goes to the ring.  They exchange punches and referees come out to separate them.  Knight goes after Waller

Joe Gacy says he would like to apologize to the NXT Universe.  He wishes they could have handled LA Knight's anger issues.  It is time to discuss how we can fix . . . 

The Diamond Mine makes their way to the ring.

Malcolm Bivens says it does not seem that this match is happening and since you tried to take the spotlight from Diamond Mine last week, it is time for them to do it.  He says that Ivy Nile has a match so Joe can take his thesaurus and himself out of the ring.

Joe says respect is not something he has for the Cruiserweight Champion Roderick Strong. His name is an an example of toxic masculinity.  The cruiserweight title is about exclusivity and weight shaming.  The Cruiserweight Division is meant to divide.

Strong tells Joe if anyone know him that he fears no one.  He does not care about Joe or about any damn weight limit.  His next money match is standing right here.  Strong tells Bivens to make this happen so he can embarrass this dork.

Bivens says what the champ wants he gets.  He will make sure this contract is signed, sealed, and delivered.  At War Games, Strong will defeat Gacy.

Joe says he is looking forward to resolving this as one.

Bivens tells Brutus and Julius to take care of Gacy but Harland shows up and the Creeds remember that Ivy has a match.

We go to commercial.

We are back with the latest from MSK.  Les says this is so stressful.  Carter says he is ready to chill with the Shaman but Lee wants Carter to slow down.  We see police lights and they try to figure out what to do about their 'contraband bag'.  The cop asks if they know the the speed limit.  They are told that Nash was driving 7 miles per hour.  They are told to get out of the car.

The officer asks them to open the bag.  

Another car speeds past and they are told that it is their lucky day.

Match Number Five:  Ivy Nile (with Diamond Mine) versus Yulisa Leon

Leon avoids Nile when Nile goes for the legs.  Leon starts to dance but Nile with a take down and a waist lock take down.  Nile with push ups on Leon's back.  Nile with a front face lock but Leon with a hammer lock.  Nile with a drop toe hold into an arm bar.  Nile with a springboard clothesline.  Nile with a running thrust kick and a front face lock and a back drop but Leon tries for a rollup.  Nile with a figure four head scissors.  Nile does crunches while she has Leon in the head scissors.  Leon leans back and gets a near fall.

Nile holds on to the head scissors.  Leon with a cartwheel and she goes for an O'Connor Roll but Nile counters with a Dragon Sleeper and Leon taps out.

Winner:  Ivy Nile

We take a look at Solo Sikoa.  He says NXT reminds him of the streets he comes from.  He was walking with those down from Day One but now he is on his own.  He is here to fight anyone.  It does not matter who it is. 

The Grizzled Young Veterans walk in the back and they bump into someone on their way to the ring.  That person is then knocked down because LA Knight and Grayson Waller are still fighting.

We go to commercial.

Wa are back and Boa says he does not know how to control it.  He says Mei Ying has passed on her spirit to him.  He says once it is controlled, you will fear Boa.

Match Number Six:  James Drake and Zack Gibson versus Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs

Jensen and Drake start things off and Drake tries to send Jensen into the turnbuckles but he blocks it and then Jensen with a clothesline and bulldog.  Briggs tags in and they hit a double shoulder tackle.  Jensen tags in and Drake is sent into the ropes and they both go to the floor and punch Drake.  Jensen with a punch and then he follows with jabs and another punch to the head.  Gibson stops Jensen from charging into the corner and Drake tries for a cheap shot but Jensen chases Drake around the ring.  Gibson tags in.

Gibson with a Harley Race knee to the back and it sends Jensen into the ropes.  Gibson with a cravate and a short arm clothesline.  Gibson with a reverse chin lock in the ring and in the back, Knight and Waller are still fighting.  Gibson sends Jensen into the corner but Jensen with a forearm.  Gibson with a side head lock and Jensen with a belly-to-back suplex.  Drake tags in and he applies a front face lock.  Jensen with a back drop and Briggs tags in and he punches Drake and clotheslines him followed by a boot.  Briggs knocks Gibson off the apron and hits a back breaker on Drake and an elbow drop.  Briggs with an elbow in the corner and he goes for a back breaker but Drake lands on his feet and his knee gives out.

Gibson gets on the turnbuckles and Briggs knocks him off the turnbuckles.  Drake's ruse is found out and Briggs with a back breaker and then Jensen tags in and they hit the high low for the three count.

Winners:  Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs

They run through the card for War Games.

Next week, Dakota Kai will face Kay Lee Ray in the Who Gets the Advantage Ladder Match for War Games.

Match Number Seven:  Johnny Gargano versus Carmelo Hayes (with Trick Williams) versus Pete Dunne for the North American Championship

Hayes goes after Gargano and Dunne is sent to the floor by Hayes.  Gargano with chops to Hayes.  Gargano with a head scissors and drop kick.  Hayes with a rollup and round kick.  Hayes kicks Dunne and applies a side ehad lock.  Hayes flips over Dunne but Dunne with a clothesline and Gargano with a rollup.  Gargano goes for GargaNo Escape but Dunne counters with a rollup for a near fall.  Hayes attacks Gargano from behind and then Hayes with a clothesline to Dunne.  Hayes kicks Gargano and Dunne.  Hayes with a forearm to Dunne and kicks to Gargano.  Dunne with a single leg take down and he works on the ankle.  Dunne goes for a double single leg crab and he locks it in.

Williams pulls Hayes out of the ring and Gargano kicks Dunne to escape the hold.  Gargano works on the arm.  Hayes with a springboard clothesline to both men and he gets a near fall on Dunne and then on Gargano.  Hayes with a forearm to the back of Gargano and Dunne with a forearm.  Hayes with a kick and punch to Dunne.  Hayes goes for a suplex but Gargano escapes and he chops Hayes and hits a bulldog on Hayes and a clothesline to Dunne.  Gargano with a tornado DDT to Dunne and he takes Hayes down.

Gargano with a suicide dive that sends Dunne into the announce table.  Gargano with a suicide dive to Hayes.  Gargano with a running head scissors take down to Dunne on the floor.  Gargano goes to send Hayes back into the ring and Gargano has something to say to Williams.  Gargano with a punch from the apron but Hayes blocks the slingshot spear and he kicks Gargano in the back while Gargano hangs in the ropes and Hayes with a springboard leg drop for a near fall.  Hayes kicks Dunne and chops him.

Dunne with a kick and hard Irish whip.  Dunne stomps on the ankle.  Dunne with a Muta Lock set up on Gargano and then he hits a face lock suplex on Hayes and adds pressure to the legs.  Dunne stomps on Gargano's ankle and then he hits Hayes with a forearm.  Dunne with a waist lock on Gargano but Gargano with elbows.  Hayes with a shoulder to Gargano and he hits a slingshot sunset flip that sends Dunne and Gargano to the mat.  Hayes with a forearm to Gargano and Dunne.  Hayes with a chop to Gargano and a forearm to Dunne.  Dunne and Gargano with forearms to Hayes and then Dunne and Gargano go for clothslines at the same time.  Gargano misses an enzuigiri and Dunne with a kick to Gargano and a drop kick to Hayes.  Dunne with a triangle but Hayes picks up Dunne and Gargano with a drop kick.  Gargano with a slingshot spear to Hayes.

Dunne stomps on the hands and goes for the Bitter End but Gargano with a tornado DDT and he gets a near fall.  Gargano with a forearm to Dunne.  Hayes with a forearm to Dunne.  Gargano with a rollup and then Dunne and Gargano kick Heyes.  Hayes with a leaping Codebreaker to Dunne and then he htis a TKO on Dunne on top of Gargano and Hayes gets a near fall on Dunne.  Hayes misses a splash into the corner and Dunne with a knee drop to the arm and he stomps on Gargano's hand.  Gargano with a poisonrana.  Gargano clotheslines Hayes.  Gargano sets for the lawn dart and hits it on Hayes.  Gargano goes to the apron and he kicks Williams.  Dunne sends Hayes to the apron.

Dunne stops a slingshot move and Dunne with Bitter End but Tony D'Angelo breaks up the cover and sends Dunne into the ring steps.  Hayes with a leg drop off the turnbuckles for the three count.

Winner:  Carmelo Hayes (retains championship)

After the match, D'Angelo and Hayes have trouble figuring out how to shake hands and LA Knight and Grayson Waller bump into D'Angelo.

Williams, Hayes, D'Angelo, and Waller work over Gargano.  Hayes goes to the turnbuckles to stomp on the chair but . . . 

Tommaso Ciampa's music plays and Williams runs into a chair.  Ciampa hits Waller with the chair. Dunne stomps on D'Angelo's hands in the chair.

We have our teams for the Men's War Games Match as Ciampa helps Gargano back to his feet.

Bron Breakker makes his way out and he has a mic.

Breakker says WAR GAMES and the brawl resumes.
