Dream Girl Ellie & Kenzie Paige Henry vs Sahara Se7en & Cali Young

There was a big pop when it was announced this was a women’s tag team bout.  Ellie and KPH were the babyfaces here.

Cali and Ellie started out.  Ellie drilled her with a big knee to the face.  Cali rolled out of the ring …Ellie went for a sliding kick but as caught and nailed.  Cali was a loud heel, yelling at the crowd and acting conceited and arrogant to the camera.

She brought Ellie back in the ring and trash talked her before whipping her into the corner.  Sahara tagged in and they worked over Ellie in their corner.  Cali did lots of little heelish things like “kicking dirt” on Ellie that I liked.

Ellie was worked over for some time and prevented from making a tag.  At one point, Sahara just YANKED the hell out of her arm to bring her back into the ring.  Cali drilled her with a dropkick to the face.

They continued to control Ellie and work her over in the ring, beating her across the back.  KPH tried to rally the crowd behind her partner.  She finally got the hot tag and cleaned house with clotheslines.  KPH is a graduate of Tom Prichard and Kane’s school so you know she’s going to be good.  She nailed a cutter on Cali but Sahara broke it up.

Cali regained control and scored several two counts on KPH, getting more and more angry at not getting the job done.

AND.......The stream dropped at this point.  I am told that KPH and Ellie won.

All four of them were obviously very early on in their careers but showed promise.  Some names to keep an eye on in the future.

Crazzy Steve vs. Chase Owens

Lots of silly antics from Steve early on.  Owens snapmared him over and told him to suck it.  Owens began working over Steve, who reversed the hold.  Owens scampered to the outside and claimed Steve pulled his hair.  Steve told him to suck it.  Steve tripped Owens in the ring and locked on a crossface, then turned it into a side headlock.  They battled to the outside, where Owens chopped him hard on the floor and tossed him back into the ring.  Owens scored a near fall and stomped on Steve's hand.

Owens whipped Steve into the buckles hard.    Owens worked him over and tried to come off the top but Steve kicked him in the face.  Steve began chopping the hell out of him and went for a hiptoss.  Owens blocked it and went for his own.  They battled over a backslide.  Owens caught him with a superkick.   Steve came back to life and stalked Owens, who ran away.  Steve caught him with a big uppercut in the ring and several clotheslines in the corner.

Steve worked him over and went come off the ropes but Owens put the referee in the way.  Owens kicked Steve low and grabbed him for a package piledriver, scoring the pin.

Your winner, Chase Owens!

It was all character-based stuff mixed with some silliness and spots designed to pop the house.  It was perfectly fine.

The Industry (Devin Devine & Mik Drake) vs. Richard Holiday and mystery partner.

Hoilliday is a Paul Roma trainee who has been a regular with MLW as part of The Dynasty.

He did mic work telling all the consumers to settle down.  He said he knew it was cool to have a national wrestling star here but to simmer down.  He said that since he was here, the fans were breathing rarified air.  He said that he hoped the fans were entertained as they celebrated Bobby Eaton and the classic Southern wrestling they came to see.  He then said they were not going to see that from him because he was actually talented and entertaining.  He said his opponents are not entertaining.  He knocked Devin Driscoll for being from Knoxville.

He said he scoured the country to find someone to be his partner, to someone who could breathe the same rarified air.  Out came Luscious Lawrence, accompanied by Dillon McQueen.

Holliday stalled by needing time to take his ear buds out.  He teased locking up with Devine but instead tagged out to Luscious.    Devine easily got the advantage and Luscious went back to Holliday, who yelled at him for allowing himself to be treated like that.  He said that he didn't pick him as his partner for this.  Mik Drake tagged in and Hollisay didn't fare any better, getting taken down and nearly pinned.   Holliday reversed a whip and Luscious kneed Drake in the back.

Holliday worked over Drake.  Luscious tagged in and dropped an elbow on him.  Luscious looked like he was ready to work on a Nitro.  Big muscular body and long hair with tights right out of the 90s.  He choked Drake on the mat and did the Rick Rude hip swivel.  I love this guy.  He and Holliday tagged in and out, working over Drake.  The crowd tried to rally him to make a comeback and a tag.  Holliday took him down with a big running elbow.  Drake finally broke free and was about to make the tag to Devine, but Luscious pulled Devine off the apron.

This allowed Luscious and Holliday to continue working over Drake.  Drake finally makes the tag and Devin Devine cleaned house with clotheslines.  He whipped Holliday into the buckles and caught Luscious with a big lariat.  Devine speared Holliday and covered him by McQueen put Holliday's leg on the ropes and alerted the referee.  Tom Prichard decked McQueen.  Drake hit a German suplex on Luscious.  Devine nailed him with a diamond cutter and scored the pin.

Your winners, The Industry!

Holliday took the mic and said he didn't get pinned, so he didn't get beat tonight.  He told Prichard he was watched up and didn't belong to be here and no one involved breaths rarifed air.  He ripped on Luscious Larry and said he would never ever come back to Knoxville again.  The Industry and Prichard returned to the ring and surrounded him.  He asked them to let him leave.  They said no.  He ended up getting decked by Dr. Tom and hit by a few finishers by The Industry.  Prichard even teased a People's Elbow, which was funny.  The Industry's manager (didn't catch the name, will add later) instead hit the People's Elbow and got a big pop for it.
