TOMMY DREAMER, GEORGE SOUTH, MR. HUGHES, CUBAN ASSASSIN, BUNKHOUSE BUCK, MISSY HYATT, SHANE DOUGLAS, BABY DOLL, CALEB KONLEY, CW ANDERSON, THUNDERFOOT, MIKE JACKSON & MORE: COMPLETE RUMBLE AT THE HILTON COVERAGE FROM CHARLOTTE, NC

By Mike Johnson on 2019-08-17 20:00:00

Several heels came out.  The storyline was that they were against the convention's promoter.  He said they had a mole...Missy Hyatt.  They said the promoter had 45 minutes to find a team of they would taking the win by forfeit.

20 Man Royal Rumble

They brought out Tommy Young as the guest referee.  The crowd popped huge and chanted for Tommy, as well they should.

The first man out was George South!

The second out was Ian Maxwell, who played to the crowd, allowing South to attack him before the bell and beat him down.  South was awesome playing off the fans screaming back at their catcalls.  South controlled him until number three came out...

Matt Houston hit the ring and joined South in working over Maxwell.  Louis Moore was next out and evened out the sides.  South was turned on by Ian Maxwell and eliminated.  BOOOO.

Bunkhouse Buck was the next out.  Big pop.  Ian Maxwell was tossed.  Buck worked over Houston and Moore but was tossed.

Out next was Keith Mack.  Everyone battled.  Blanco Loco from the International Superstars was out next.

Leo Bryan of the Dirty Blondes joined the fray.  He cleaned house.  He tossed Blanco Loco.

Big Zoe was next.  He was followed by Zack Riley.  He was immediately tossed.  The other Dirty Blonde, Michael Patrick hit the ring.  Joey Ozborne was next.

Out next was former WCW star Lodi.  He was doing his old Sign Guy deal.  Out next was former WCW star Ron Reis aka THE YETI.  He went to step over the ropes but Lodi accidentally crotched him running the ropes and out Reis went.  Lodi was then dumped over.  OOOPS!

The Boogeyman is in the crowd watching and I can't believe no one thought to have Boogey face off with the Yeti.

Next up was Mr. Hughes.  Yes, the Roughneck is in the house.  He and Matt Houston battled.

SP the Ghost was out next.  They all fought until Axl Jaggers, who was the most 80s name ever, came out.

Out next was, I kid you not, Thunderfoot #1.  It's the actual Joel Deaton under the mask.  His first match in 32 years.  Tommy Young tried to check his boot and was chased around the ring.  SP Ghost was tossed.  So was Ghost.

The final competitors were Ricky Santana and The Cuban Assassin.  I can't remember the last time I saw Santana anywhere near wrestling.

The final four as Santana, Hughes, Thunderfoot and Assassin.  They all battled.  Santana was tossed over by Assassin.  Thunderfoot tossed Assassin.

It's down to Hughes and Thunderfoot.

Hughes finally tossed him for the win.

Your winner, Mr. Hughes!

The Dirty Blondes with Col. Rob Parker vs. The International Superstars with Dream Girl Ellie Cooper.

Parker tried to have a kid cheering for the Superstars ejected.  That was funny.  Some solid back and forth tag team action.  The Blondes worked over Joey Ozborne for a long time, pulling a lot of old tag team double team moves and referee distractions out of their hat.  Blanco Loco tried to rally for a tag but the Blondes kept cutting off Ozborne.

The Blondes kept cutting off the ring, working over Ozborne.  Loco finally got the hot tag and they nailed some double-team tandem maneuvers.  The Blondes cheated and finally scored the pin.

Your winners, The Dirty Blondes!
