ULTIMATE MAYHEM, CMLL STARS, CODY VS. FLIP & MORE: COMPLETE ROH MANHATTAN MAYHEM COVERAGE

By Mike Johnson on 2018-03-03 20:27:00

ROH champion Dalton Castle and Volador Jr. vs. Jay Lethal and Ultimo Guerrero.

Guerrero had a long day as he was caught up at customs in NYC for a long time this afternoon.

Lethal and Castle started.     Castle shoulderblocked Lethal with authority.   He went for the Bangarang but Lethal slipped out and went for the springboard elbow.  They went back and forth until Guerrero and Volador tagged in.  Guerrero shoved Castle to the floor.

Guerrero and Volador Jr. had some nice back and forth wrestling and faced off.  Guerrero nailed him with a clothesline in the corner and tagged in Jay.  Lethal hiptossed and dropkicked Volador.  Lethal worked him over and scored several two counts.

Lethal and Guerrero worked over Volador.  Guerrero was whipped into the corner but Volador moved and Guerrero bumped up and over to the floor.  That looked great.  Castle tagged in and worked over Lethal.  Volador tagged back in and stomped Lethal.  Guerrero tagged in and clotheslined both Castle and Volador.

Volador went for a dive to the floor on Guerrero but was caught and powerbombed down.  OUCH!  Lethal hit a nice-looking dive on Castle.  They double teamed Castle, who kicked out of a Guerrero pin attempt.

Guerrero nailed a gourd buster off the top on Volador.  Castle took out Guerrero and went back and forth with Lethal, who slapped him.  Castle fired back.  Lethal went for the Lethal Injection on Castle but was caught with a neckbreaker.    The battle continued and Guerrero accidentally clotheslined Jay.  He went for a powerbomb off the top, but it was turned into a rana and he was pinned by Volador.

Your winners, ROH champion Dalton Castle and Volador Jr.!

Really, really entertaining back and forth match.  The crowd seemed to really enjoy this one.

All four faced off after the bout.

The Kingdom and Shane Taylor vs. Bullet Club's The Young Bucks & Adam Page & Marty Scurll in an Ultimate Mayhem match.

They will have Wargames style entrances after the first two competitors battle for five minutes.

Marty Scurll and Matt Taven are the first competitors.  Scurll got the better of the first exchange and sent Taven to the floor, whipping him into the barriers.      They battled back into the ring.  Taven nailed a hell of a kick.  Scurll was caught with a suplex.  Taven went to the top but was drilled with a right hand.  Scurll nailed a superplex with each of them standing on the top rope.    Scurll snapped Taven’s fingers.

The second man out was Vinnie Marseglia, who came out from under the ring with red balloons, like Pennywise the Clown in It.  That was a cute idea.   Scurll tried to battle against them but was soon overwhelmed.

The third man out was Matt Jackson, who hit the ring with a ton of fire.  He and Scurll cleaned house and nailed double superkicks.

The fourth man was TK O’Ryan, who came out from the crowd disguised as a fan.  He nailed Matt Jackson as Bullet Club as they were going around ringside “too sweeting” the fans.   The Club were worked over.

The fifth man out was Nick Jackson.   This will shock you, but there were plenty of superkicks.  Matt Jackson hit a huge flying elbow.  Lots of chaos.

The sixth man out was Shane Taylor who chokeslammed Nick.   Lots of brawling on the floor.

The final man out was Hangman Page.

It is now Ulimate Mayhem.  Page nailed a moonsault to the floor on everyone.  Matt Jackson did the save.  Nick Jackson did as well.  Marty made it a grand slam.

They are battling all over and with fans standing on their chairs, I've completely lost my line of vision.  My apologies.  Page went up to the first balcony and hit a moonsault, which was awesome and brought the house down.  The crowd chanted, "This is awesome."

Lots of superkicks.  Lots of chaos.   Snapping of fingers.  Superkick. Rinse.  Repeat.

Bullet Club finally scored the pin after Adam Page nailed the Rite of Passage.

I will have to watch this later via Honorclub as I missed a great deal of it, but the audience live loved the hell out of this madness.

An extremely entertaining show.
