DARK MATCHES:

The Tempura Boyz vs. The Kingdom's Matt Taven and Vinnie Marseglia (with TK O'Ryan)

They went back and forth with some good action.   Sho Tanaka nailed several hiptosses and locked in an abdominal stretch.   The Boyz double teamed Taven and looked good in doing so.  Marseglia tagged in and worked over Yohe in the corner.  The Kingdom nailed dropkicks in the corner.  Tanaka came back and nailed a spear on both.   Taven reversed a rollup and held onto a crutch O'Ryan was using.   It was OK overall.

Your winners, The Kingdom!

The Rebellion (Kenny King & Rhett Titus & Shane Taylor) with Caprice Coleman vs. Cheeseburger & Gedo & Will Ferrara

Titus started out with Ferrara, reversing each other's headlocks and rolling around on the mat exchanging holds.  King nailed a nice twisting dive to the floor on Cheeseburger.   They cut off Ferrara and worked him over.   Gedo made the hot tag and drilled Taylor with a series of rights.  Gedo nailed a jawbreaker and nailed several kicks, finally wiping out Taylor with a kick to the jaw.

Cheeseburger tagged in and nailed a flying bodypress but got caught by Taylor.  Gedo and Burger worked over Taylor.  King and Titus hit the scene and wiped them out.  Cheeseburger fought them both off  but was wiped out with a triple team, culminating with a splash off the top for the pin.

Your winners, The Rebellion!

Solid six man tag.

The announcing team tonight will be Ian Riccaboni, Kevin Kelly and Colt Cabana.

Prior to the Ring of Honor War of the Worlds PPV went on the air, Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling officials came to the ring.

In a special ceremony, Kevin Kelly introduced the different officials who were in the ring.  NJPW United States Ambassador George Carroll announced the company was introducing the IWGP United States championship and the first champion would be crowned at the 7/1 and 7/2 New Japan G-1 Special events in Long Beach, California.

The championship will be determined through a round robin tournmament held over the two nights.    They unveiled the championship, which got a huge "USA" chant.   They also announced the first person in the tournament will be Jay Lethal.  Lethal came out and cut a promo and said he was the first man to hold two ROH championships at the same time and would be the first IWGP U.S. champion.    Adam "Hangman" Page came to the ring and tried to get in the ring and challenge Lethal but was held back.

ROH WAR OF THE WORLDS 2017

After a nice video package, they went to the announcers, who ran through the card.

KUSHIDA vs. Dalton Castle (with the Boys) vs. Bobby Fish vs. Silas Young (with Beer City Bruiser).

KUSHIDA came out wearing a Yankees jersey.  NYC loved that.

Big reaction for Dalton Castle.    He came out with an army of Boys.  Young took the mic and said that everyone loves Castle and then buried KUSHIDA for wearing the Yankees jersey.  He naileed KUSHIDA and ripped the jersey off of him and stomped on it.  Castle and Fish pulled him out of the ring and nailed him.  They all started battling with KUSHIDA and Fish trying to steal rollups.  They faced off and Young attacked them from behind.  KUSHIDA sent Young to the floor and went for a dive but the others grabbed it.

They all battled.  Fish went to hit a dive on Castle but was nailed by Young.   Fish locked a sleeper on KUSHIDA and then swept his leg.  KUSHIDA nailed a cartwheel into a dropkick on Fish.   Fish nailed a dive off the top onto Castle and Young.  KUSHIDA then hit a big dive off the top onto everyone.

Back in the ring, KUSHIDA nailed a dropkick on Castle and locked in a crossarmbreaker.  Young came off with a springboard moonsault to break it.   Fish locked in an anklelock but Young kicks him off.  Fish locked one on Castle but KUSHIDA came off the top with a moonsault.  KUSHIDA nailed a flip into the ropes, knocking Young off the apron.

It was all crazy action with everyone hitting big spots.  Castle finally scored the pin with the inverted Whirlybird on Fish.

Your winner, Dalton Castle!

Good match but way too much going on at the same time to properly do PBP.

They aired a promo where Adam Page said that Kazarian was given the chance of a lifetime but he screwed the Bullet Club.   Kazarian said he was mad because Page attacked him in a Vegas parking lot and kept him from winning the TV title.  He promised he would "finish the game" tonight.

Adam "Hangman" Page vs. Kazarian

Kazarian nailed a dive as Page came to the ringside area.  They brawled on the floor.  Kazarian suplexed him into the barricade.  Page nailed an Arabian Press to the outside on Kazarian to cut off his momentum.   They finally made it to the ring where Page nailed him with a lariat for a two count.   Page nailed a series of rights.  He picked up Kazarian for an Air Raid Crash but Kazarian rolled through into a sunset flip for a two count.  Kazarian nailed an inverted DDT into his knee for a two count.

Page spit in Kazarian's face.  Kazarian spat back in hit face.  Page returned the favor again and they began brawling.  Kaz sent him over the top to the apron and slingshot him back in, nailing a cutter as Page returned to the ring.   Kazarian charged but Page pulled referee Todd Sinclair in the way.  Kazarian stopped but was hit with a low blow.

They battled in the corner and Page came down and used the ropes for leverage for the pin.

Your winner, Hangman Page!

Good match with some nice intensity.

Coverage continues on Page 2!
