ANGLE VS. COFFEY, FINN BALOR GETS INVOLVED IN BATTLE FOR ICW AND MORE: COMPLETE INSANE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING FEAR & LOATHING IX COVERAGE

By Jonathan Armak on 2016-11-20 18:03:00

It's time for the BIG 4 on 4 match for 100% control of ICW.

Team Dallas (Chris Renfrew, Sha Samuels, DCT, and Grado) vs. The Black Label (Jack Jester, Kid Fite, Bram, and Drew Galloway)

Black Label is out first with fire the raining down pyro (like old Randy Orton, Alberto Del Rio style), which I have NEVER seen in ICW.  Very cool.

*For 100% Control of ICW: Team Dallas (Chris Renfrew & Grado & Sha Samuels & DCT) Vs Team Black Label (Jack Jester & Kid Fite & Drew Galloway & Bram)

Team Dallas is down next and Coach Tripp, Mark Dallas' son, lead the way for DCT to come out with all these men in yellow coming out dancing and singing him in. Very cool. Sha Samuels in out next and is looking excited. What a Renaissance for this man since breaking up The 55 as the surprise member of Team Dallas at Shug's Hoose Party back in July. The leader of the NAK is out next, it's Mark Dallas with Tole coming out behind him, coming out to Crank It Up (eat your heart out Jester, wonder if he misses that song right now). Chris Renfrew comes out to the same music with Black and Yellow, and Grado follows as well (I was thinking we get a Like A Prayer entrance). They run down after Grado's entrance and Black Label rolls. This is EPIC ladies and gentlemen of ICW and fans of ICW.

Holy smokes everyone's brawling to start! Kid Fite and Samuels are in the ring and going back and forth but Samuels smashes Fite in the corner All the times I covered ICW when they were a team this EPIC for them to face off at The Hydro like this. We cut to Galloway on the outside on Galloway, but Renfrew whips Galloway and his bad neck into the corner. Kid Fite eliminates Sha Samuels as the camera was off.

Sha Samuels is eliminated.

SCT rolls up Kid Fite and he is out just as fast.

Kid Fite has been eliminated.

Kid Fite and Sha are fighting into the back the war continues.  Bram and DCT are face to face shades of Shug's Hoose Party they are back and forth and DCT hits a scoopslam (Grange says back to the Polo Promotions' playbook). Jack Jester in the ring with a Pledge to The Dungeon on DCT but he rolls out. Grado and Jester are in the ring bakc and forth and Grado has control with a big splash on Jester/Elbow to the face of Jester and Grado with a Rolling Slice into the corner.

Galloway back in the big clothesline shades of last years huge main event of Fear and Loathing 8.  VICIOUS chops to Grado in the corner, slap to the face of Galloway. Grado pulls the straps down and is Jacking and Jiving, gives a "suck it" but gets headbutted.  Renfrew comes in and goes for a T-Minus, roll out, and goes for a Stunner, roll out, but he hits Kiss Kiss Molly's Lips on Galloway.

Bram runs in though and is taking control until DCT runs in and knees Bram. Low blow to DCT from Bram though and he sets him up and hits the piledriver. 1-2-3.

DCT has been eliminated.

3 on 2 all or nothing Grado and Renfrew trying to fight the super team of Bram Jester and Galloway. Bram and Grado are back and forth, Grado goes to Jive again but Bram catches him witth a clothesline, goes for sweet side of suffering, R-Grado! 1-2-3!

Bram is eliminated.

Bram is pissed throws a chair into the ring, and hits Grado in the head with a chair. He then hits Renfrew in the guy. He is smashing Renfrew with the chair. Crowd is chanting for Finn Balor. Even Red Lightning is asking Bram to stop...wow.

Mick Foley has phoned backstage according to Kirkwood and is pissed about this conduct from The Label. The two men who faced for the title at Fear and Loathing 7 at The Barrowland...Galloway and Jester are in full control. Grado pushes Renfrew out of the way and takes the shot and gets pinned.

Grado has been eliminated.

It is Renfrew on his own against The Label's Galloway and Jester. They are in full control, Renfew tries to fight back but gets low blowed, but he threw Galloway out of the ring first. Grado is back! Wee Boot on Jester, Renfrew covers 1-2-3!

Jack Jester has been eliminated.

It is down to Chris Renfrew and Drew Galloway. Renfrew the man Galloway returned to ICW and took out night 1. They are straight fighting here, Renfrew in control but Galloway hits a snap piledriver. 1-2-NO! Renfrew survives.

Renfrew with a stunner 1-2-MPO! Jester is back down and him and Jester hit referee Sean McKloklin. Grange points out it is 3 former world champs against Renfrew. Dallas is in! He is fighting and he takes down Red Lighting!

It's on finally but Galloway with The Claymore on Dallas. Galloway is beating the crap out of Dallas. Jester is reminding him to focus. Jester and Galloway are falling apart. Galloway calls Jester the weak link and Jester leaves. Tombstone to Renfrew...1-2-NO! Crossface onto Renfrew and he is struggling. He lost his title to this move back in February. Referee is counting his arm. Down once, Down Twice- NO Renfrew is still in this!

Dallas with the golf club, but Galloway retaliates and knocks him down. F*** TNA chants at Galloway. Galloway gives a thumbs down and goes for the Futureshock but Finn Balor is down and in the ring with an ICW shirt on. Jester has returned and it is Galloway and Jester with a pipe staring down the first ever WWE Universal Champion but Jester gives the pipe to BALOR!!!! HE HITS GALLOWAY!!!! STONE COLD STUNNER!!! CHRIS RENFREW PINS GALLOWAY 1-2-3!!!

Team Dallas Wins! Mark Dallas has 100% control!!!!!!!!!

Jack Jester has turned on The Black Label. Galloway calling him the weak link ended a life long friendship and the alliance we saw begin last year. We are back to square one.

All the members of Team Dallas are back down.

Mark Dallas has the mic and says he has had control before and has given him chance after chance but Red Lightning----No Andy You're Fired!!!!!!!!! If you have kept up with this year plus storyline Dallas tried many times to do this.  Security chases out Lightning as the crowd goes absolutely crazy.

It is announced that Fear and Loathing X will take place again at the SSE Hydro!!!!! That is unbelievably awesome. ICW has done so well on tonight's gate that we are repeating The Hydro next year.

It is main event time everyone.

"Iron Man" Joe Coffey takes on Kurt Angle. Joe Coffey is headlining the biggest show in ICW History.

Kurt Angle comes out first very epic to see this entrance. Crowd is STILL on fire after 4 hours of action. Joe Coffey comes out painted in the Scottish colors with mask and kilt. HUGE reaction for The Ironman. Big Match introduction and Angle looks humbled to be a part of this night.

It is on. This is the biggest match of Joe Coffey's young career, and Kurt Angle is in an ICW ring. They lock up Angle works Coffey into the corner. He backs up and gives The Ironman some room. Another lockup, and now Coffey backs Angle to the corner and backs up. Angle gets Coffey down with a side headlock but Coffey works his way up. Angle works him back down. Coffey puts pressure on the knee, and gets the headlock. Kirkwood points out one of Angle's knees is heavily braced. Dead even in the beginning. Coffey gets angle into the corner, two clotheslines, and to the top rope, big dropkick to Kurt Angle in the middle. Angle rolls out, he had Coffey's paint on his face and head. They work there way back into the ring, he stomps Coffey in the corner. Puts the boot to the throat breaks it up at the 3 count. Angle works into another headlock in the middle of the ring. This crowd is loving this, and so am I. They are singing the Ironman song. Rolls through with Coffey goes to hook the legs but Angle rolls through. He works Coffey in the corner again Kirkwood says Angle says he doesn't have many more matches in him but he says when Kurt says that that means another 20 years. He is a cyborg that was no gimmick. Headlock again in the middle of the ring. They are straight wrestling so far. Coffey works out and hits some European uppercuts, but Angle with a big boot, Angle to the top but Coffey out of Angle's playbook runs up and hits a belly to belly. Springboard fall from Nebula first cover of the match 1-2-NO! Discus Clothesline attempt but Angle hits three German suplexes. Cover from Angle 1-2-NO! Angle Slam attempt, but Coffey rolls through and hits a BIG suplex. Angle gets up and hits an Angle Slam attempt 1-2-NO! Straps come down, and he has the ankle lock locked into the injured ankle that Coffey told Angle about in his promos. Might be regretting that now, maybe not he knocks Angle off and hits the Discus Clothesline! 1-2-NO! Both men have a finisher kickout each. Great Match so far. Big Fight Feel in The Hydro. Angle gets another Ankle Lock locked in Coffey is working to the ropes but Angle drags Coffey to the middle of the ring but Coffey rolls through, and hits the No Mercy (Boston Crab)! Angle is hurting and he taps out to the No Mercy!!!!!

Joe Coffey defeated Kurt Angle!!!! By Submission!

Kurt Angle gets the microphone and thanks the fans in Scotland. He says the fans always blow his mind out here. Big Thank You Kurt chant. Angle says that he didn't know who Joe Coffey was before he got in the ring with him, he never saw him wrestle before and also mentioned beating Kurt Angle at the end of his career might sound like aside note but don't be fooled he is as good as he ever was. but Joe is for real. He says this is not the end of Joe Coffey vs. Kurt Angle (Fear and Loathing X anyone?). Wow what a show of respect. The face to face before he left the ring was epic.

Coffey celebrates and on the ramp the pyro and fire plays for The Ironman. That was one hell of a show it is a shame that I didn't see the beginning. I'll tune in later on. This wraps up Fear and Loathing IX and PWInsider's coverage of Fear and Loathing.

Note from Jon:

What an honor and challenge to do this coverage live, and let me tell you Stu, Mike and Dave deserve respect from everyone who reads the site. I have taken for granted missing shows and reading PWInsider for updates. This is hard to do man, so thank you guys for the opportunity I am grateful and humbled.

For Mr. Mark Dallas and Insane Championship Wrestling thank you for giving all of us and myself a product to love and to watch grow up. Ever since I started watching I feel like I have been on the roller-coaster with you all through all of these rising heights (although you wrestlers are the ones busting your a*ses to make this happen each and every night and I thank you guys the most), and giving me a company to cover, to write for, to write about wrestling. As a journalist and lifelong fan it is the coolest thing ever to write about your awesome company. I am humbled and grateful tonight. I was freaking out earlier when my stream wasn't working so thank you Mike for calming me down and saying we'll figure this out, it's okay. I needed that. Awesome night culmination of a lot of blood sweat and tears for the ICW men and women. Keep over achieving, keep proving people wrong, and keep dominating independent wrestling. If anyone dared say ICW isn't making waves, in the words of CM Punk they are saying "Have I got everyone's attention now?" Congratulations on filling The Hydro and repeating that next year. Go have your drinks and crack the champagne everyone you deserve that and a lot more. For Jonathan Armak of PWInsider.com that is a wrap.
