2016 NYWC PSYCHO CIRCUS COVERAGE: BIG O VS. STOCKADE, FORMER NXT STAR ATTACKS & LAUNCHES HIS 'TAKEOVER', BEAVER BOYS VS. MILK CHOCOLATE AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2016-02-27 23:00:00

We are live at the NYWC Psycho Circus in Deer Park, Long Island!

The promotion has reconfigured their building to set up a new "hard camera" position and add a new entrance-way position, complete with ramp to the ring, similar to old WCW and ECW PPV events.    It appeared they may be able to fit some additional seats in this way.  They are sold out with a lot of standing room.

The show opened with a 10 bell salute for the late Axl Rotten.

Joker's Wild Battle Royal

The show opened with the annual Joker's Wild Battle Royal.  They started with several different ring announcers are all fighting to see who was going to ring announce, then agreeing they would join up to show the wrestlers what they could do together.

There are about 30 or so competitors.  No way I can type everyone.  My apologies.  The ring announcers then invited the referees to join them so there were seven of them to fight the wrestlers.  Like Han Solo says, never tell me the odds.

Everyone battled everyone.  Lots of eliminations.  DJ Hyde got a lot of heat for laying out one of the female wrestlers, Sami Pickles, which even Masada questioned.

It came down to Hyde and Masada at the end.  They exchanged blows, then each shared a beer together.  Hyde nailed him in the head with the closed can of beer and whipped him into the corner, nailing a lariat.  He worked to toss Masada over but Masada ripped at his face.

Masada tried to lift Hyde and worked to get him over the ropes but Hyde came back with punches.  They began chopping each other.  Masada locked in an anklelock and Hyde tapped but that couldn't end the match.  Masada ripped at his face.  Hyde went over the top and landed on the apron.  He nailed several headbutts but Masada drilled him with a big boot, sending him to the floor.

Your winner, DJ Hyde!

The Beaver Boys vs. Milk Chocolate

Milk Chocolate had a boy band sing them to the ring performing "Louder Than Life", playing off their gimmick of singing themselves to the ring.     The Beaver Boys attacked them before the bell and worked them over.  Alex Reynolds and Brandon Watts had a nice back and forth ending with Watts dropkicking him out of the ring.  John Silver nailed a big Beel across the ring on Watts.    Randy Summers made the save, leading to some really nice stereo moves from Milk Chocolate.

Silver snapped Summer's throat on the ropes, setting Reynolds up for a move but Summers escaped and nailed several clotheslines.  Reynolds made the blind tag to Silver, who grabbed Summers and powerbombed him across Reynolds' knees.  The Beaver Boys began working over Summers with some nice doube-team tactics.

Silver attacked Watts on the apron and slammed him onto it to prevent him from tagging.  He wiped out Summers with some really great power moves.   He kicked Summers in the face and tagged in Reynolds, who continued trashing him.  Reynolds nailed a nice elbow off the ropes for a two count.  Reynolds tried to hit a belly to back suplex but Summers shifted and scored a two count.

Reynolds took Watts out from the corner again and continued beating on Summers.  Summers finally nailed Silver but Reynolds grabbed him by the back of the tights to keep him in their corner.  Reynolds tagged in and cinched in a real chinlock.

Watts finally mat the hot tag and hit a dive to the outside on Reynolds and a big flying forearm on Silver.    He went to the top and dove to the floor.  Watts brought Silver back into the ring and scored a two count.  Silver and Summers battled back and forth and just killed each other.  Silver began whipping out German suplexes like crazy.    Milk Chocolate wiped out Reynolds and hit a double stomp/hanging DDT combination for the pin on Silver.

Your winners, Milk Chococate!

Just a really kickass athletic tag match with a lot of really aggresive tactics on both sides.  Really good stuff here!  Loved this!

NYWC Starlet Champion Aria Cadenza vs. Willow Nightingale.

I somehow lost the coverage for this but thought they had a decent match and worked hard.  Nightingale won the title and got a really big pop for it.

CJ Bambino and the FBI vs. Chrissy Rivera, Jigsaw, and Tyler Murphy.

Guido and Jigsaw started out and went back and forth with some nice wrestling.  Guido used a Fireman's Takeover for a near fall but was trapped in a leg submission, fighting his way to the ropes.   Murphy and Bambino tagged in.  Murphy worked over Bambino and chopped him hard in the corner and kicked him in the chest.

Murphy missed a charge in the corner and was hit with an overhead suplex.  Mamaluke tagged in and began taking him apart with suplexes and chops in the corner.   Murphy fired back with forearms in the corner.  Mamaluke was sent into the corner, where Rivera nailed a running boot scrape in the corner.

Jigsaw tagged in and used a back submission on Mamaluke.  Team Murphy took turns working over Mamaluke, who went to the floor.  Murphy followed but was taken out on the apron by Mamaluke and Guido.  Guido put the boots to him on the mat and scored several two counts.  The FBI worked over Murphy with elbows and knees, tagging in and out.

The referee finally lost control and everyone began brawling.  They went to the floor, where Rivera did a dive off the top atop of the pile.    Mamaluke attacked her in the ring and worked her over in the corner but Rivera slipped down and powerbombed him off the ropes.

Jigsaw nailed a missile dropkick off the top and worked over Bambino with chops.  He nailed a brainbuster on Mamalue and nailed a tope con hilo to the outside on him.  Murphy went for a dive but Bambino caught him.   Bambino was kicked in the leg.  Rivera came off the ropes with a DDT.  Murphy locked on an armbar submission on Bambino for the win.

Your winners,  Chrissy Rivera, Jigsaw, and Tyler Murphy!

Some good wrestling here and some fun highspots.  Overall, they told a fun story.   Curious to see if they continue the feud from here.
