Hour three started with Rusev coming out and Lana doing her promo. She ragged on Big Show and said he is impressive, but they have the super athlete, Rusev. She asked them to rise for the Russian anthem but instead Show's music hit and out he came.
Rusev was in control early after a suplex on Show. Nice power spot. But Show got back to his feet after Rusev worked on his leg, and Rusev took him down again. Big SHow them pit him in a leg bow and arrow move and they sold he would tap, but Rusev got the rope instead. Show set up for the KO spot but Rusev ducked. Show then went to work on him, including a spear. Show was in control when Mark Henry came down the aisle. They sold he was cheering his friend on. Show then wen for the Chokeslam but Rusev blocked it. Show did catch him and hit the slam, but Ruseve kicked out at two. Rusev rolled to the floor in front of Henry, who wanted to attack him. Show said don't do it, and Mark didn't. Show threw Rusev back in the ring. Mark said go get him. As Show came in, Rusev kicked show in the face. Mark got on the apron and Rusev kicked him to the floor. Rusev hit a few more kicks on Show and then locked on The Accolade. The fans were chanting USA. I was singing Eps and my version of the Russian anthem. Show tapped, Rusev wins. Very good booking. I still think they should keep him undefeated and have Lesnar step up at Mania to take him on. That would be a match people would want to see, and it would be really, really good.
Time for AJ vs. Paige for the Divas Title. The challenger was on control early and sadly, the crowd was dead for it. In fact, it took Paige yelling "come on AJ" to get anyone to clap. And they quickly stopped. These ladies are so good and deserve better. It's not their fault. AJ made a comeback and they were still quiet. Anyway they worked it hard. AJ put on The Black Widow but Paige powered out and skipped around with her before slamming here. They went to the floor where Paige got up on the barricade but AJ took out her feet and dumped her on the mat. Alicia Fox threw Paige back in the ring before the ref could hit the ten count and since she was dazed, AJ locked her in the Black Widow for the win. Some young girls shrieked in appreciation but most people didn't react at all. Paige attacked Alicia after the match. I feel bad for them that they are booked so badly that people don't care. They deserve better.
Dean Ambrose came out first and went to the top of the cage. When I came back, Rollins was arguing with The Stooges and they went up to address Ambrose at the top of the cage and he caned the hell out of them. Rollins then came up to the top and as the Stooges held Ambrose, Rollins destroyed him with the cane. Ambrose came back and laid out the Stooges. He did spots on top on top of the cage and the announcers said they kept expecting it to break through, which is exactly what I was thinking. Rollins went down the Cell and Ambrose chased him and caught him on the side. They went at it on the side and the match hasn't even started yet. The fans are going nuts. Finally, they both came flying off of the Cell, through ringside tables. The fans are chanting holy S***. Yeah, that is the truth. What an open to a match that hasn't started yet because they aren't even in the cage. Now the medical team are checking out the workers, to see if this is over. It most certainly is not!
Over the next few minutes, both men were placed on stretchers to be taken away. No way that happens. No way. Just as I typed that, Ambrose started fighting his way off of the gurney. He got off and attacked Rollins on his gurney. This is great. Ambrose brought Rollins back and threw him into the Cell. Party time!
This is awesome so far. I mean stupid good awesome. Ambrose grabbed a chair and told Rollins that he stabbed him in the back so here is your payback. He pounced him with the chair and other weapons. There was a lot of good violence and then as Ambrose was in control, Kane came out of nowhere and sprayed a fire extinguisher in his face. That gave Rollins control but Ambrose kept coming back. Rollins brough in the briefcase but Ambrose took it from him and hit him in the head with it, to get a two count. Ambrose went under the ring and got two cinder blocks, trying to pay him back for Rollins' curb stomp. The people chanted YES. Ambrose put Rollins' head on the blocks and when he went to Curb Stomp him, the lights went out. There was a Bray Wyatt kind of phrase playing over and over. ANd when the lights came on, people in the crowd had Wyatt lights. There was a lantern in the ring. Ambrose looked confused. I guess he missed the fans. Out of nowhere, Wyatt appeared and took out Ambrose. Rollins covered him and got the pin. The fans didn't care for the finish, and I didn't love it either. Hopefully they have a plan. After Rollins left with the Stooges, Bray hit Sister Abigail on Dean as the fans booed. It was not a fulfilling ending but they can't all be. The match was awesome before the finish.
Overall, it was a really good show with a lot of strong wrestling. The question is, will they get to the point where they realize we need new blood on top? If so, this could be a show we look back on and see as the start. If not, well it will just be another PPV that ended in a way that people that could buy the Network don't care for.
