The Bellas are in the back and they are stretching. Randy Orton asks them if they saw what he did. Randy tells Brie that what he did out there is only a fraction of what he will do to her boyfriend. She can always upgrade to a real man.

We are back with the WWE Rewind: Ryback attacking CM Punk at Night of Champions.

CM Punk makes his return to a WWE Arena and he is dressed for hockey season.

Punk says that they ruined a completely perfect bad mood. He hasn’t smiled in a week and a day. Now he cannot help himself. Punk says that he tried to get the Cup here, but it is in Montreal getting it engraved. He feels that because he did not produce the Cup that he let everyone down.

When he lets himself down, that is okay. Last Sunday in Detroit, he let everyone down. Paul Heyman pinned him in the ring. It will read in Gray’s Sports Almanac that CM Punk lost to Paul Heyman. He has lost plenty of matches in his life. He is not smart enough to stay down and this one bummed him out.

Punk says that he doesn’t know if he can do this any more. He does not deserve to wear this sweater or perform in front of the greatest wrestling crowd in the world. He feels that he has let everyone down enough to not even say that he is from Chicago, Illinois.

Then he comes out here to one hell of an ovation and he puts this sweater on with pride because he remembers being down three games to one against a tough Red Wings team. We know how that ended. The Blackhawks did not feel sorry. They did not let anyone down. They came back to tie the series and they won it. That is the Chicago way.

Maybe they lose and the other city gets the best of them. They pick themselves up by their bootstraps. He is proud of this city, this team, and this sweater. If he let anyone down, he apologizes. He says that if he is down three to one, he will tie it up and he will win. He is here live and in living color. He wants a fight. He doesn’t care who it is.

Paul Heyman starts to sing his own version of New York, New York on his new motorized scooter. Paul Heyman introduces himself.

Punk tells Paul it is the wrong place and the wrong time. He will get a bigger beating tonight than in Detroit because they are in Chicago. He has 18,000 people who will bail his ass out of jail when he gets his hands on him.

Paul says that he does not need Punk to remind him of the beating that he took in Detroit. He has been in physical therapy since Night of Champions. He suffered a relapse that has him confined to this contraption because of Punk.

Paul says that he takes solace in the fact that he can walk through life saying that he beat CM Punk. Paul says that he doesn’t want Punk to feel sorry about it. It is not Punk’s fault. It is geography. Punk is from Chicago. The Second City. Second place teams, second rate citizens, second class parents. The second best in the world.

Paul presents everyone ‘Exhibit A’ and it is the footage from Night of Champions.

Paul says that he might be a walrus, but he pinned the biggest shark in Chicago.

Punk says that he is not stupid. He knows how this ends. He tells Paul to ask himself a question. When he jumps out of this ring and he makes a move to Paul, can his two goons get to him faster than he can get to Paul? That is the question Paul has to ask himself. If he gets there two seconds before Paul, that is all he needs. He will not break Paul’s face, he will rip it off.

Paul tells Punk that not only can he beat him, he beat Punk with both hands tied behind his back. Paul says that he bids everyone a fair adieu.

Paul is unable to get his scooter to start and Punk drops the mic and it is time for the fight to start.

Punk gets a shot in on Paul but Ryback and Curtis Axel come from behind the back row of the floor seats and they attack Punk.

Dean says that they are winners because they are studs. They will do their jobs.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Daniel Bryan makes his way to the ring and he has something to say.

Daniel says that he has something to talk about. Last week, he was stripped of the WWE Championship because he was accused of conspiring with WWE Official Scott Armstrong. It wasn’t like he went up to Scott and said that if there is any conceivable time that he could win, could you give a fast count.

He might not be the smartest, but you don’t need a fast count when you are already knocked out. If you want to talk about conspiracies, with Randy Orton and Triple H, you might have something. Triple H fired Scott Armstrong, but he gave him a good deal to leave.

Daniel says that he does not know what happened at Night of Champions because it is done. It does not matter which Randy Orton shows up at Battleground, Daniel vows to take back what is his, and that is the WWE Championship.

No fast counts, no crooked referees. There will be no more hiding in Buffalo. When Randy Orton wakes up from the B+, goat faced, troll, there will be one word that Orton will hear over and over again in the back of his brain. It is a word that will haunt him the rest of his life. It is the word that people will be chanting after he wins at Battleground. It will be ‘Yes’.
