ROH World Title Match: Cody vs Sanada
First time I've seen Sanada since he was in James Storm's torture barn! Cody's not happy with the fans cheering for Sanada, and spends a bunch of time stalling out on the floor. Back in the ring, they finally tie up and have a back and forth with neither man getting an advantage. Cody goes for the Beautiful Disaster, but Sanda counters to a dropkick and sends Cody to the floor. Sanada feints a dive, but changes his mind and leaves Cody staring at him uncomprehendingly. Cody says screw it and tries to leave, but Naito cuts him off and forces him back to the ring, where Sanada catches him with a dropkick to the face and covers for 2. Cody goes BACK to the floor and leads Sanada on a track meet, and uses Ian Riccaboni as a human shield, shoving him into Sanada to give him a cheapshot and ram Sanada into the barricade. Cody comes back over and brushes Ian off, then goes back to ramming Sanada into barricades. Cody maintains control as they head back into the ring, and Sanada tries a comeback, but Cody takes him off the top with a super armdrag and then just stares at him thoughtfully before stomping on Sanada's legs as Ian Riccaboni name drops Gary Strydom. Talk about a flashback! Cody pulls Sanada up by the ears and twists him into a half crab, right in the middle of the ring. Sanada gets free, but Cody twists him right into a modified Indian deathlock, and Sanada is ever so close to the ropes, but Cody holds onto it as long as he can until Sanada finally makes it to the ropes. Sanada knocks Cody off the apron and on top of Ian at the broadcast table. Poor guy is earning his pay tonight! Cody comes back in the ring and eats a dropkick from Sanada, rolls to the floor, and takes a slingshot dive from Sanada. Cody goes for a German, Sanada rolls through, but Cody catches him with the Beautiful Disaster kick for 2. Sanada gets a Magistral cradle for 2, then they trade forearms until Sanada pops Cody up and hits a TKO for 2. Sanada goes for the moonsault, Cody moves, Sanada lands on his feet and hits a couple of spinkicks. Cody spits in Sanada's face, so Sanada pounds the snot out of him and shoves the referee down. Cody charges, Sanada ducks, and Cody knocks the referee out. Sanada hits Cody with CrossRhodes, but no ref to make a count. Ref is up just in time to miss making a 3 count on a rollup by Sanada. Cody gets Sanada in the LeBell Lock, Sanada fights it, and makes the ropes. Cody looks in the camera and calls out Bryan Danielson, then sits Sanada on the top rope and goes up, Sanada slips out underneath Cody and powerbombs him, Cody goes to the eyes, Sanada reverses CrossRhodes, Cody reverses back and hits it for the win.
Winner: Cody
Terrific main event! Good show overall, though nothing Earth-shattering happened. Just a good afternoon of wrestling. Cody gets a mic after the match and runs down the local crowd as the sweathog capital of the motherland. He asks who is left, who is out there and hiding in wait, and here comes Dalton Castle! He says he loves Liverpool, and he knows he's not the TV Champion because Cody sent Hangman down during his match. If Cody wants to know who's left (he tosses the Six Man Title aside), HE'S LEFT, BITCH! Cody makes like he's going to fight Dalton right now, then he dives to the floor, grabs his belt, and leaves. He tells the fans in Liverpool that they can bet their asses ROH will be back, and he heads to the floor to caress the cheeks of everyone at ringside as the show comes to a close.
