WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT: WWE TITLE MATCH, TAG CHAMPS IN ACTION, RANDY ORTON PLAYS HIDE AND SEEK WITH BRAY WYATT, AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2016-09-27 21:55:00

Miz makes his way to the ring with his wife Maryse and they have something to say.

Maryse introduces her husband and we get a video package for the Miz going back to comments from when he was on Tough Enough.  We see his progression from Smackdown host to the WWE Champion and the debut of Miz Girl.  We see Miz winning the Intercontinental title and his recent defenses.

Miz says he is home and he mentions the Cavaliers winning the NBA Championship.  He says 1.3 million people celebrated Cleveland's championship . . . and this is all he gets?  This is his hero's welcome?  Miz says he is the only hero in Cleveland.  Long before this city was so desperate for a champion and welcomed back that traitor Lebron James, he was a WWE Champion.  He is proud to celebrate Day 176 of the Miz' Championship tour.

Miz mentions his parents and we see them in the crowd.

Miz says his wife informed him that Dolph Ziggler's parents are in the crowd.  He says this must be really hard for you because you created a world class elite level loser.

Dolph's music plays and he comes into the ring.

Dolph says Miz can say what he wants to him but you don't talk to his parents, his friends, or his city.  If you need to say it, say it to his face.

Miz says he has said it over and over.

Dolph says Miz has cheated over and over.

Miz asks if it will say in the record books that Miz cheated?  It will say Miz is a champion and a movie star.  What will it say about your career Dolph?  You are a loser.  When will your mediocre career end?  You are just like that guy who opens things and finds a way to lose.  Miz says he would be embarrassed if he had Ziggler's career.  Miz says Dolph and his family should be embarrassed of him and his career because he did nothing with it of late.  You keep losing and losing.  Miz says he feels sorry for Dolph.  Miz says he is done because he figures it is time for Dolph to ask for one more match, but the answer is no.  Dolph has nothing for him unless he is wiling to give up his career.

Miz leaves the ring and he stops by Dolph's family and says they must be so proud.

Dolph tells Mike to wait.  He says this is all he has.  A few minutes a night 300 nights a year is all he has.  This is what he loves.  Things you love do not love you back.  You can give and give and give but you get nothing in return.  People come up to you and ask you why are you still here.  It is because he can't stop.  It is a sickness.  He thought his career would end up bigger.  He cannot stop himself.  Dolph says you put that title up one more time.  Dolph says he will put up his entire career.

Miz wants to make sure that he heard Dolph correctly.  He says that if you lose, you don't go to Raw or NXT or take a sabbatical.  You will be done with WWE.

Dolph says your title . . . my career.  He either walks out champion or he is done.  Either way, he is put out of his misery.

Miz accepts the match.

Miz and Maryse leave the ring.

Dean Ambrose is in the back getting ready for his match as we go to commercial.

We are back and Bray Wyatt is rocking back and forth.  He says as one door closes, another opens.  It is wide open Randy.  He tells Randy to be careful and then he laughs.
