In some sad news, Mario Mejia Jiménez more famously known as the original Espectrito passed away on 1/23 at the age of 49-years-old due to undisclosed causes. Jiménez began wrestling in 1984 working as Centellita but it was 5 years later when he became one of the first guys to join the newly created minis division in EMLL was when he became a star. Jiménez was given the Espectrito gimmick being the mini version of Espectro Jr. and he would soon begin a feud with the mini version of Mascara Sagrada in Mascarita Sagrada that would become one of the most important feuds in the history of the minis division. In fact in the tournament to determine the first CMLL Minis champion on March 1st 1992, Mascarita beat Espectrito to win the title but after both men jumped to AAA with their creator Antonio Pena, Espectrito would get his revenge beating Mascarita to become the first ever Mexican National Minis champion on January 8th, 1993 in Queretaro. August 6th, 1994 though was the biggest match of their feud as Mascarita would defeat Espectrito in a Mascara contra Mascara match revealing his true identity but to Espectrito's credit he kept going strong as he won the IWC Minis Title from Mascarita on May 5th, 1995 and in 1996 he became a two-time Mexican National Minis champ beating Super Munequito on July 26th, 1996 before losing the belt though to the new Mascarita Sagrada on September 14th, 1996.
1997 saw big career change for Jiménez as he was working with the WWF as part of the AAA/WWF working relationship and he took on the Mini Vader gimmick where he teamed with his brother working as Mini Mankind for a while until they repackaged all the minis and Jiménez would become El Torito later in the year. Jiménez's biggest match of his career though would take place at the 1998 Royal Rumble in San Jose, California where he teamed with Battalion & Tarantula (his brother) in a losing effort against Max Mini, Mini Nova, & Mosaic. After the WWF deal ended, Jiménez bounced around working various organizations even losing his Torito mask to Pierrothito in 2001. The Jiménez got back in the news on June 29th, 2009 when Mario's brothers Alejandro & Alberto (who were twins) were murdered by prostitutes in a sad tale and Mario was really never the same after that.

6. CMLL Lightweight Title: Dragon Lee II defeated Virus in 7:05 with a German Suplex hold to retain his title but Kamaitachi made a shocking appearance after the match where he used a German Suplex of his own then made an impromptu challenge match for the next day.
7. Mephisto/Kazuchika Okada/Ultimo Guerrero beat Mistico II/Hiroshi Tanahashi/Volador Jr. in 18:14 when Mephisto used the Super Devil's Wings on Volador.

3. Jushin Thunder Liger beat Virus in 7:55 under Maestros rules where they couldn't punch other.
