WWE NXT REPORT: BALOR VERSUS CREWS, ASUKA AND A TOTAL DIVA, BONJOUR EVA MARIE, TAG TITLE MATCH NEXT WEEK, TURMOIL AT THE END OF THE SHOW

Tonight, Apollo Crews gets his chance to challenge Finn Balor for the NXT Championship thanks to his victory in the Number One Contender Battle Royal.

We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Rich Brennan, Corey Graves, and Byron Saxton.

Match Number One: Asuka versus Cameron

They lock up and Cameron backs Asuka into the corner and tries to kick Asuka, but Asuka blocks the kick and then puts the leg down and then out of nowhere floats over into a cross arm breaker and Cameron gets to the ropes. Cameron sends Asuka to the mat and then she hits a split kick for a near fall. Cameron gets another near fall.

Cameron with a suplex and she hits a split leg drop for a near fall. Cameron with a Dragon Sleeper. Asuka gets to her feet and she snap mares Cameron to get out of the hold. Asuka with a jumping side kick and she mocks Cameron. Cameron with forearms and Asuka with a jumping hip strike. Asuka with a running butt splash and she kicks and slaps Cameron.

Asuka misses a round kick in the corner when Cameron moves. Asuka goes for a Fujiwara arm bar and Cameron tries to escape and Asuka with a chin lock. Asuka with a back fist and slap followed by another back fist and a jumping spin kick and a Shining Wizard. Asuka with the crossface chicken wing and Asuka taps out.

Winner: Asuka

Rich brings up Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson and Corey mentions what happened to Colin Cassady. We see the footage from last week when Colin and Enzo were attacked before their match.

Tom Phillips is with Carmella and she tells Tom that Cass has a sprained MCL and he will be out for a while.

Scott Dawson says they have reserved a few hospital beds for those Gs. Dash says you can’t teach that. Scott says that when Cass was begging for mercy, he didn’t look too big.

Carmella tells Scott and Dash to be careful when his boys are back.

Scott says they are putting the roster on notice and they will wrestle for the Tag Titles next week. They will be referred to the best tag team on the planet after they win the Tag Titles next week.

Dash and Scott give Tom a wheelchair to give to The Vaudevillains because they will need it.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Jason Jordan says people are still talking about Takeover. He feels they have earned a lot of people’s respect, but they are not the champions. Gable says they are still going up so don’t get worried. He says they need to be focused on being the best tag team in the world. Chad says people will say they are the World’s Greatest . . .

Jason stops Chad and tells him not to say that. Chad says they need a plan. Jason suggests that they challenge the greatest tag team in NXT history? Chad tells Jason not to be ridiculous because they cannot wrestle themselves.

Jason talks about the longest reigning NXT Tag Team Champions . . . The Ascension.

Chad tells Konnor and Viktor to come home and give them a shot. Then they can ascend to the titles. Come back only if you are ready . . . willing . . . and Gable.

Match Number Two: Bull Dempsey versus Angelo Dawkins (with Sawyer Fulton)

Bull spins around to get the people to chant “Bull Fit” and then he connects with a knee. Bull with a rolling senton splash and side head lock. Dawkins with an arm drag but Bull with a side head lock. Dawkins with an arm drag and kicks to Bull. Dawkins gets a near fall. Dawkins with a front face lock.

Dawkins with forearms to the back and to the head. Bull starts to Bull Up and Bull with a shoulder tackle or two. Bull with jabs and punches to Dawkins and connects with a head butt to the midsection and a head butt to the chin. Bull with a running butt splash into the corner and a body block. Bull goes up top and Sawyer tries to stop him but Bull with a seated splash for the three count.

Winner: Bull Dempsey

After the match, Fulton walks away from his tag team partner.

We see Tom Phillips with The Vaudevillains and we see the wheelchair.

Aiden says take it to two sophomoric roughnecks to add insult to injury and take a cheap shot. They know that Dash and Scott are dangerous and they saw what happened to Enzo and Cass. Their climb to the top of the tag team division was not easy. They have beaten some of the best in NXT and the WWE to add to their legend.

Simon says that Dash and Dawson are not gentlemen and have show that behavior in the ring. Despite their questionable tactics and less than sound moral character and their roughneck attitude, they will maintain the tag team titles.

Aiden pushes the wheelchair away.

Apollo Crews is in the locker room and he sees the NXT Title belt before he walks out.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Tom Phillips is with Bayley and he asks Bayley if she found any tag team partners. Bayley says it was not that hard and she is hyped to introduce her partners . . . Mojo Rawley and Zack Ryder.

Mojo and Zack say they aren’t hype. Zack says they have her back and they will take care of the former tag team champions, Alexa’s lap dogs.

Match Number Three: Eva Marie versus Marley

They lock up and Eva with an arm drag and she celebrates her performance. Eva with a hair whip at Marley and Marley pushes her down. Marley with a matrix and hip toss for a near fall. Eva with an arm wringer that sends Marley to the mat. Eva puts the arm in the ropes and the referee warns her.

Eva with a suplex and she floats over into a cover for a near fall. Eva with an arm bar. Marley with a forearm but Eva blocks a kick. Marley with an enzuigiri and drop kicks. Marley with a guillotine into a rollup and she punches Eva. Marley runs into a boot from Eva. Eva with a sliding flatliner for the three count.

Winner: Eva Marie

Emma and Dana Brooke are in the back with Tom Phillips. Tom asks Emma if she is scared of Asuka.

Emma says she is not scared of Asuka. Emma says Asuka has her utmost respect. She does not like Asuka in her face smiling. Dana says she has the utmost respect for Asuka, but when she pat her on the head. She calls that childish.

Dana says she wants to get back into the ring but Emma tells Dana that she will have to wait in line because she will give Asuka a true welcome to NXT.

We see Finn Balor getting ready in the back as we go to commercial.

Match Number Four: Apollo Crews versus Finn Balor for the NXT Championship

They shake hands before the bell rings and then Crews gets a quick rollup for a near fall. Balor with a side head lock and he takes Crews to the mat. Crews with a head scissors and Finn escapes. Crews with a side head lock and Balor with a head scissors and Crews escapes.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Crews with a side head lock. Balor gets back to his feet. Crews with a handspring over Balor when he drops down. Crews with a drop kick and then he hits a Stinger Splash but Balor with a drop kick and he gets a near fall. Balor with a front face lock. Crews blocks a suplex attempt and he gets Balor up for a delayed vertical suplex and he gets a near fall.

Crews misses a leaping elbow drop and Balor with a kick to the head for a near fall. Balor with a rear chin lock and uses Crews’ arm for extra pressure. Crews with elbows and a sunset flip but Balor rolls through and hits a drop kick for a near fall. Balor returns to the chin lock using Crews’ arm.

Balor with a sunset flip but Crews rolls through and hits a drop kick. Crews with clotheslines followed by a Stinger Splash. Balor floats over in the other corner and Crews with a kick. Crews goes to the turnbuckles and Balor with an enzuigiri followed by a flip dive onto Crews and we go to commercial.

We are back and Balor with a chop. Balor with an Irish whip and running chop. Balor with another Irish whip and chop. Crews with an Irish whip and Balor comes out of the corner with a clothesline for a near fall. Balor tries for a reverse suplex but Crews with a snap mare and fallaway slam and he gets a near fall.

Crews presses Balor over his head but Balor gets to his feet. Crews with an enzuigiri and Balor with Slingblade. Crews with a clothesline and he presses Balor over his head and drops him to the mat and he goes for the Crews Combination but Balor gets his knees up. Balor with a reverse suplex for a near fall. Balor with a running drop kick to Crews and he goes up top for the Coup de Grace but Crews moves. Crews with a kick and Balor with a Pele Kick.

Baron Corbin comes to the ring and he attacks Crews and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Apollo Crews (by disqualification)

Corbin attacks Crews on the floor and then he hot shots him onto the ring steps and then sends Crews into the ring steps. Balor gets attacked by Corbin and he punches Balor.

Samoa Joe comes to the ring and Baron Corbin goes to the floor and heads up the ramp and to the back.

Joe looks around and he stares at Corbin on the ramp.

Joe stands in the ring as Balor gets back to his feet and Joe with a clothesline. Joe kicks Balor and punches him. Joe looks remorseful over what he did, but then he kicks Balor and sends him into the turnbuckles. Joe punches Balor and puts him on the turnbuckles. Joe with a Musclebuster.

Joe picks up the NXT Title Belt and he brings it into the ring and he holds it over Balor and then puts the belt on Balor’s chest as he leaves the ring and goes up the ramp.

We go to credits.
